They sound brainwashed, similar to North Korea. We love our job in the dark mine, and if we're all good boys at the end of the day, we can watch hockey and drink beer. 😂
Guess you know absolutely nothing about coal mining, coal mining history, the people of Cape Breton, hard work,….and doubt you know anything about North Korea either by making a comparison. Learn your Canadian history.
Racist? No diversity? What are you talking about? The miners of Cape Breton were mainly white, because Cape Breton was settled by Scottish and French Acadians that's just the way it was and many of those immigrants left many years ago so they were not around to be part of the musical group. Also those miners are not in black face make-up they are covered in coal dust which happens to be black. The men of the deeps group still exists and still performs to this very day. To be in the group you have had to been a miner for at least 2 years if memory serves me.
I remember this when I was a kid. I think it was on CBC often. Still hum it to this day. Great tribute to our Canadian miners who are unsung heroes.
They were just singing
So much homesickness.
- love from a Scotian in Chicago ❤️
Chicago.. you mean Chiraq .I don't know which is worse, being stuck in Canada on lock down once again or taking a stand for freedom in the US !
Its cape breton

catchy song enjoy hearing wonder if the mine still in operation today 2024 or was closed long ago .
Cannot recall where I saw this first on TV,in school but it's stuck with me took me awhile to locate it on here.
I remember seeing it after Sesame Street when I was a kid.
You had to work in the mines in order to be a member of this group
No wonder they are so rabid now, this is actually good

Until that Witch Notley decides to Fuck'em over.

This video would now be considered racist, no diversity.
And they'd be criticized for showing people in blackface.
@@Schnitz13 Criticized by who...Justin Castro ?
