I really appreciate that you give a definitive answer to which device is better and not just say it’s up to us to choose. In the end it is our choice. But truthfully some devices are just a better overall choice.
As a new op 13 owner I couldn't agree more. This phone is amazing and I definitely agree with you about the cameras being fantastic. And charging speeds and battery life well it's just at least 2 levels above Samsung, Google and apple. Great vid 👍
@ΧρήστοςΒλάσσης-β4χ yeah I have zero issues with the sound. It's extremely clear and consistent. In fact I have zero issues with this fone and I know people say the software is a problem with OnePlus but I actually love oxygen os 👍
7:15 On OnePlus go to settings>>Home screen & Lock Screen>>Home Screen (with drawer)>>Drawer layout >> 5 columns Had both of these phones back to back, and I have to disagree with a lot of the tech community; because you can *definitely* tell the OnePlus is blowing the doors off of the Pixel. Pixel occasionally would have a hiccup or a skip here and there, combine that with the weaker modem, slower data speeds, and the UFS4.0 vs the UFS3.1 in the Pixel, and it's definitely feeling a bit slower in day to day operation. It's not the biggest deal for most people no, but I am sure most tech enthusiasts with fast fingers will notice. You can definitely tell the Pixel gets hotter also day to day.
J. you put me on to OnePlus starting with the 7T Pro every phone I have had since then has been a OnePlus, the bang for your buck is undeniable. amazing phones!
Nice comparison. I really enjoy both my OnePlus 12 and Pixel 9 Pro XL. I agree that OnePlus wins in terms of value. I happen to prefer stock Android, and OnePlus is very close to stock. However, wherever the OnePlus deviates from stock, it tends to irritate me. Pixels are universally recognized and accepted in certain scenarios where OnePlus phones aren't yet. For example, my mobile provider, Spectrum Mobile, doesn't support OnePlus phones. Also, out of curiosity, I checked how much Samsung would give as trade-in value for each for a Galaxy Ultra 25. While they accept Pixels, OnePlus phones are not accepted for trade. Just something to think about. I hope these things improve as OnePlus continues to grab market share. I would only pick the Pixel 9 Pro XL over the OnePlus if it were deeply discounted to under $700, as it was with my carrier.
Excellent job, J. I had the Pixel 9 Pro XL for two weeks, but then returned it and got the OnePlus 13. Never regretted it. I wish...and hope...OnePlus gets satellite connectivity in the future. And I'll miss the immediate software updates with the Pixel. But what's up with that stupid date widget that is UNREMOVABLE on the Pixel!?!? Can't resize or remove it. That's unacceptable! Users should be able to configure their home screen however they want. I have zero complaints or "I wish" factors with the OnePlus. I pick it up and play with it even if I don't have to. It's beautiful in every way. Your video nailed the comparison. Like the other viewer said, this is definitely the video we wanted to see.
Google needs to add the customization you had with HTC phones. I don't understand why they're not doing it because most of the HTC people now work for Google. Think about it 💯🤟🏽
My problem with Google is that search bar. They need to remove that. I like to customize my phone and I don't like anything on my home screen except for what I need and I don't need that. 💯🤟🏽
Same here. Bought a pixel for the first time and returned it because of that stupid search bar. I pay for the phone and I should be able to change as I wish.
Using a third party launcher like Nova can get around that problem. I do think that the stock launcher is marginally faster but I hate the way the search bar isn't removable as well.
I have pixel 9 cl 1tb. The only reason id choose pixel over any other andriod is due the consistency of the canera. Its the closet to iphone on an andriod. As for apps opening turst me u wont notice much difference day to day with the elite. Ofc its snappier but if camera matters to u then pixel will be ur best choice
I am in this debate whether I should upgrade to 9pro XL or OnePlus. I had a one plus 7pro but then went to pixel 6pro due to the fact of the delay on the system upgrades. But honestly I loved the one plus. Do they still have the same upgrade problems with system and security?
When ever you pick up the S25 Ultra, I would love to see your comparison of that with the OnePlus 13. I have the OnePlus 13 and i am floored at how good this phone is
@smartphoneconversations because I want to know if I should trade in my Z Fold, lol. All I'm worried about is screen longevity. I don't need best cameras, battery, etc. Just up to date and that bend longevity. It's my 1st Fold. A lot say they tried going back and couldn't.
As some who has had 5 folds its true once you have used one it is very difficult to go back to a candybar phone. Since you dont care abouts cameras that negates the usual issue in that fold cameras are sub par compared to flagship candybar phones. Now me personally i run a fold and an ultra, best of both worlds
The OnePlus is basically a high-quality knockoff of the iPhone, especially with the software. The Pixel 9 is flawed but at least it has its own identity in that regard
seems so . My 13 drains 1% per hour overnight while my base pixel 9 was a bit less when I had it. The charge speed on the 13 is like 3 times faster however .
@zamroc8 that's what I understood as well ty for confirming. I have the pixel 8 pro and was debating switching because I appreciate the hardware on OnePlus. I love the pixel software however.
I've had both but I would say OnePlus 13 is better. Unless you value googles software and what they offer that other phones don't. Now I don't know the quality of materials Google uses but since the pixel 6 every time I get their phone and use it with a case and I take the case off a month later there is always some non removable residue or stain on the glass or the metal rails or both. Which is frustrating. Not only that it significantly reduces the resale value of the phone. I seen that was the problem again with the 9 pro so I took it back and returned it With that being said i settled for the oneplus 13R i feel its better than both of them. Because it's important to me to be able to buy a screen protector and a case for my phone. When it comes to phones with them curved screens you can't really buy a good screen protector or a decent case a case that protects the entire screen they always want to have the edges exposed because of the curved screen
I really appreciate that you give a definitive answer to which device is better and not just say it’s up to us to choose. In the end it is our choice. But truthfully some devices are just a better overall choice.
Right. Lol.
As a new op 13 owner I couldn't agree more. This phone is amazing and I definitely agree with you about the cameras being fantastic. And charging speeds and battery life well it's just at least 2 levels above Samsung, Google and apple. Great vid 👍
The sound is loud, with good bass and clear in op 13 my friend?
@ΧρήστοςΒλάσσης-β4χ yeah I have zero issues with the sound. It's extremely clear and consistent. In fact I have zero issues with this fone and I know people say the software is a problem with OnePlus but I actually love oxygen os 👍
Definitely the video we wanted to see. Thanks J.
I Hope you find value in my thoughts on these two phone, enjoy and thanks for supporting.

Their main marketing point is the "stock" android experience. Its dull but that's what a lot of people like.
I couldn't agree more.
My problem with Google is that search bar. They need to remove that. I like to customize my phone and I don't like anything on my home screen except for what I need and I don't need that. 💯🤟🏽
Dude, i HATE not being able to remove that stupid bar haha it alone makes me not able to use Pixel phones cause of my OCD issues. Not even cool man
Same here. Bought a pixel for the first time and returned it because of that stupid search bar. I pay for the phone and I should be able to change as I wish.
I think that is an easy way to get burn in, no?
Using a third party launcher like Nova can get around that problem. I do think that the stock launcher is marginally faster but I hate the way the search bar isn't removable as well.
You cannot go wrong with either of these excellent choices.
I have pixel 9 cl 1tb. The only reason id choose pixel over any other andriod is due the consistency of the canera. Its the closet to iphone on an andriod. Good video, thanks but my question is, when will the Google series get the snapdragon chip set?
I am in this debate whether I should upgrade to 9pro XL or OnePlus. I had a one plus 7pro but then went to pixel 6pro due to the fact of the delay on the system upgrades. But honestly I loved the one plus. Do they still have the same upgrade problems with system and security?
The OnePlus software is really underrated and other reviewers don't give them enough love.
Yes!! I've been waiting for this one!!
😎😎
I'm glad you're excited! 😊
Great Video. Love that One plus 13! Thank you Sir.
When ever you pick up the S25 Ultra, I would love to see your comparison of that with the OnePlus 13. I have the OnePlus 13 and i am floored at how good this phone is
The 9 pro has 16gb of ram, they all have it.
$1,000 for 128 GB of storage is criminal and the pixel is not worth that.
FACTS
So as a daily driver, do you get a Pixel, S25 U, OnePlus, or Samsung Fold 6. I have the Fold 6 so I would have to trade in
S25 is not out yet. How can I answer that?
@smartphoneconversations because I want to know if I should trade in my Z Fold, lol. All I'm worried about is screen longevity. I don't need best cameras, battery, etc. Just up to date and that bend longevity. It's my 1st Fold. A lot say they tried going back and couldn't.

I certainly love my pixel devices but with the OnePlus you just grt more overall for less cost.
Oh definitely OnePlus IMO.@Gryffin-m7s
I had the 12R and that battery went for Days. Thought i had to have the best the 12. Brought the same phone twice. Lol.
The OnePlus is basically a high-quality knockoff of the iPhone, especially with the software. The Pixel 9 is flawed but at least it has its own identity in that regard
I'm hearing the standby time on pixel is better. Not sure if that's true maybe you can confirm that.
@@Cubiche047 imo the pixel software is stable and reliable but OnePlus has the advantage in features and customization.
I'm not happy with the one plus they took out Dolby Atmos
Good video and comparison 👍
Both are great phones but if we’re talking about VALUE OnePlus is definitely the better choice
I've had both but I would say OnePlus 13 is better. Unless you value googles software and what they offer that other phones don't. The One Plus looks amazing. It's probably my next phone.
The phone is big, but in your hands it looks like a kids toy
That one plus is beautiful got me thinking of trying something different 2 nice phones
Brr...25 degrees. You can do 5 across on your OnePlus 13. Go to Settings > Home Screen and Lock Screen > Home Screen Layout > 5x6
I know that's already setup, but I was talking about the app tray. Thank you 😊
Thank you!
All pixel 9 phones are chunky and heavy wish they would work on that
Google needs to up there processing power man, for real. They are SO far behind in that aspect its not even funny.
You can do 5 apps across on oneplus .
In the app tray?
Yes. Go to Settings > Home Screen and Lock Screen > Home Screen > Drawer Layout
🙌🙏🙌
👍😊
Nice video
I wouldn't get the pixel for the barebone os and weird design
If I ever buy an android phone I would buy a pixel.
true, but I will wait few months to get a better deal on Pixel 9
@ yeah I would do that too.
Especially coming from iPhone , easier transition than going to others
@ you are right man.
