- It was time to finally read some of the books that I didn't think would stand a chance! Not my finest idea! What are some of your all time favorite (or least favorite!) BOTM books? Let's talk about it in the comments.

the present day timeline felt a little useless. and once i found out the connection, it did even less for me 😂

The Girl From Everywhere deals with a similar fantasy map x real world idea and I adored that one! It's YA but I can't remember feeling like it read too young. I'd recommend that if you like the idea of traveling using fantasy maps!

i didn’t dislike the cartographers as much as every one else seemed to. listened to it over about a week and never felt very strongly like “ugh i don’t want to be reading this’. think I gave it 3 stars but yea if it’s not working for you early on i highly doubt it would start
i couldn't connect with the plot or the characters, which really disappointed me because the premise sounded so interesting. i'm glad you liked it though!

Best wishes with what you choose to read. I'm currently on page 831 of the Count of Monte Cristo. Still got some way to go. A different feeling being with a book for so long rather than moving on through books. Happy reading.

I remember trying did you hear about kitty karr. I think if I would have finished it, it probably would have been a 3. I don’t really understand why dual the timelines but that also could be because I found the family annoying too. I’m over just over passing stories and from the start I knew what kind of story this would be.
the family was very annoying and no one in that family actually had a real conversation lol. i'm not saying this is a forgettable read, but it's definitely not memorable.
Interesting idea to read the lowest rated books! Even though they're rated low, it's still too bad they weren't good, lol. I was interested in The Cartographers because how cool would it be if fictional maps were real!? I'll stay away from it now.
I had too high of hopes for these low rated books. I wanted to like one so bad lol. I just had a rec for The Girl from Everywhere that's about fictional maps so I hope that one is better. I'll report back! 😂
