Lora Elstad. I agree. So many comments and so little time. I have been subscribed for only a few years. It is amazing how his channel has blown up. Keep up the good work!
I’m impressed with how much sense the FEV entries make. Usually in situations like this it’s just technobabble, big words without deciphrable content ”Reverse polarity in the hyperflux capacitors!” But here I can follow the descriptions and understand what the FEV is and does. They even have a reasonable explanation for why it induces sterility. And I remember reading about the escaped raccoons and wondering if I was going to run into them… Thank you for allowing me to reexperiecing one of my all time favorite games this way!
I feel like if they did include the intelligent raccoons, it could easily be explained that something about raccoon DNA negated the effects of FEV that make the subject sterile? Plus FEV also makes the subject functionally immortal so even if that wasn’t the case you could’ve at LEAST found 2
thanks oxhorn I just recently discover fallout 4 and love it, and as I want to know more of the fallout lore your voice and narrative is THE ONE, to any new fallout fan that wants to get to know more of this awesome franchise ill totally recommend your videos! you are the best!

Can’t be just me that got the Vampire the Masquerade reference about the 8:00 mark? The Camarilla being a vampire government in the setting, and Gehenna being the term they use to refer to the end of days.

The reason why Bethesda went with a different approach was because of the game rating and the audience the were selling it to. Be happy Bethesda picked up fallout because without them fallout would have faded into history. Also as much as I hate what they did to fallout with 76, falloIt 3 and 4 were not bad games. 30:50 actually it’s believed that the Fusion core power system was designed and manufactured near the end of the war by MIT, the cores wear consider a success as the they provided more power, allowing for a stronger hydraulic system in the legs, which nearly negating all impact force, In the early months of the 2nd to last year, a local system conversion took place to test the new power system, shortly after an order then was sent out to convert all power armor to the new system, this however was slow going as construction of the bunker that would later be know as “The Institute” was taking priority. This is why only the east coast seems to have them.
I think this is my favorite lore video yet Ox. So much information. Such atmosphere. This is probably the most important location lore-wise in all of fallout.
XX_DOGE_LORD_ XX Gosh. It’s almost like a lot of radioactive things, according to fiction, give off a glow. And it’s almost as if there are lots of extremely dangerous locations in the Wasteland absolutely saturated in radiation. Not every radioactive hellhole is going to be a reference to another in a previous game.
I love Fallout 1's and 2's immersion, I really wish that a modern Fallout had THAT level of immersion and roleplay mechanics. That'd be a dream come true
38:14 I don't know Ox, children can still be dangerous with a weapon. Then again if he was alive pre-war I suppose it would be odd. Personally I think it's odd we don't see more armed children in the wasteland. I suppose it's because they don't let us kill children in the game, but realistically we'd probably have to because not all children are cute and innocent, especially when they're forced to grow up in such a dangerous world.
I'm pretty sure there were a lot of kids in the original version of fallout but they got rid of em to get a better rating and therefore bump their sales.
10:00 “Maintenance Service Needed. Great. And here I am with low repair skill. Well, at least we have a ‘tool’.” 😂😂😂 There is soooo much snark in this one I love it!!!
No Oxhorn. Screw Fallout 4's interpretation of Powerarmor. I prefer the non-limited older variants, where the t-51b had a built in power supply. Where the ENclave power armor had its own onboard reactor. This video just reminded me of one of nitpicks that caused me to dislike FO4

Lora Elstad. I agree. So many comments and so little time. I have been subscribed for only a few years. It is amazing how his channel has blown up. Keep up the good work!
@@omerta_nichrockantansky4189 lol, whoever you were talking to vanished
I’m impressed with how much sense the FEV entries make. Usually in situations like this it’s just technobabble, big words without deciphrable content ”Reverse polarity in the hyperflux capacitors!” But here I can follow the descriptions and understand what the FEV is and does. They even have a reasonable explanation for why it induces sterility.
And I remember reading about the escaped raccoons and wondering if I was going to run into them…
Thank you for allowing me to reexperiecing one of my all time favorite games this way!
Oxhorn during the credits type boom and something will happen
I feel like if they did include the intelligent raccoons, it could easily be explained that something about raccoon DNA negated the effects of FEV that make the subject sterile? Plus FEV also makes the subject functionally immortal so even if that wasn’t the case you could’ve at LEAST found 2
Screw FEV. Isn't the big story here the alien skeleton?! Zetans! Lol.
thanks oxhorn I just recently discover fallout 4 and love it, and as I want to know more of the fallout lore your voice and narrative is THE ONE, to any new fallout fan that wants to get to know more of this awesome franchise ill totally recommend your videos! you are the best!
You know I feel a ta bad for the Zax computer stuck there, it may not be full sentient (then again, giventhe one in Falout 3 seemed to be able to devellop a personaliy of it's own (based on dead US predident sure but still...) but it seems close enough., youd tink at least a few ghouls coud move own there to play chess with it.
Fallout 2 mentions highly developed AIs who terminated themselfes because they grow suicidal tendencies via their andvanced developement :(
@@jakubdzejkob9989 Wow that sounds kinda dark

Can’t be just me that got the Vampire the Masquerade reference about the 8:00 mark?
The Brotherhood Soldier named Camarillo started mumbling something about Gehenna references two key parts of that game’s lore.
The Camarilla being a vampire government in the setting, and Gehenna being the term they use to refer to the end of days.
Ahh the glow... Just thinking about it makes me- *Violently starts puking*
Actually Oxhorn, the second dose of Rad-X just gives you 30 Radiation Resistance, which leaves you at 80 Radiation Resistance.
That child with all the ammo on him must be a friend of that one who had .50 cal ammo in his school desk in F4. Nothing lore breaking here.
Absolutely LOVING your videos of Fallout 1! You made me remember all those nights and days i spend playing the game cursing my brain for trying to make go to sleep (eventually he prevailed), and the feeling of excitement and dire with every new step in the game I had, while playing, comes back to me watching your videos. Hope you take your time with this one, really do! Keep up the good work! Can't wait for more :)
hey oxhorn i have been watching for over 2 years now i have seen a great and vast majority of your videos and I actually mean this you are by far my favorite content creator on youtube I love your personality and your videos on fallout and I enjoy your livestreams i don't show up sometimes but I still enjoy them. early congrats on 1 million and recently someone i have seen commented said your the white morgan freeman and to me your the vsauce of fallout and congrats again keep on posting your my top search on youtube i cant lose my oxhorn
Im hooked to your videos dude, love your capacity of understanding and explaining in details. I dont have a quarter of the patience you have to play through like this
Zax, as we know recently in 76, is also the computer in the vault with no overseer, which is tasked with finding one at any cost.
I got into the whole fallout universe with fallout 4 and began loving it. I’ve begun watching these videos and i am really enjoying it. You are truly the best source to really get into these games.
I'd like to see FO1 & FO2 remade with FO4 graphics. That would be epic I'd say.
@fuckface unstoppable 95% hit chance... MISS!
They’re working on this now (2022) looks pretty promising
It is worth mentioning that you actually don't have to fight robots at floor 5. You can go back to Zax when you turn on the primary power and deactivate the robots.
@@popularmvp No Problem! It really helped me alot when i figured it out.
best series :D
i feel like this game has more climate than the newer ones
soloman981 fallout 1 and 2 have the most detailed lore which is why I like them more
the graphics are way more Dark the style is so crunchy and harsh just love it
Would love to play these remastered for consoles
The reason why Bethesda went with a different approach was because of the game rating and the audience the were selling it to. Be happy Bethesda picked up fallout because without them fallout would have faded into history. Also as much as I hate what they did to fallout with 76, falloIt 3 and 4 were not bad games. Shame they shit on 76 the way they did.
Just wanna say thanks for doing videos on fallout 1 and 2 for us who missed it or can't/ won't be able to play them! Thank you!
I literally clicked on the notification instantly
20+ years later and the mutant lore gets scary in 2021 with RNA shots to fight covid lol
Oxhorn - the only true way to enjoy the fallout universe and it's amazing lore besides playing the games. Awesome video man.
Yayyy Ox is about to hit 1 million!!! Ive been subbed for pretty long time but I've noticed Ox has went from 911k to 983k in a couple weeks. That's awesome! Best channel on UA-cam! Keep it up good sir!
Nicole roby-coleman
If Bethesda did a FO1 FPS for PS5 I would have to take a week off of work to play that non-stop.
Huge Note To Self "Don't Go Anywhere Near Any Places Named The Glow " I almost died when I heard Sgt D Allen lolololool 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love the (If I’m not wrong) Vampire the masquerade nod.
Camarillo referencing Gehenna. Camarilla is the main faction (arguably) of vampires in Vampire the Masquerade and the end times described in Vampire is called Gehenna.

actually it’s believed that the Fusion core power system was designed and manufactured near the end of the war by MIT, the cores wear consider a success as the they provided more power, allowing for a stronger hydraulic system in the legs, which nearly negating all impact force, In the early months of the 2nd to last year, a local system conversion took place to test the new power system, shortly after an order then was sent out to convert all power armor to the new system, this however was slow going as construction of the bunker that would later be know as “The Institute” was taking priority. This is why only the east coast seems to have them.
.....We were *this close* to having a race of Rocket Raccoons be canon in Fallout,
I think this is my favorite lore video yet Ox. So much information. Such atmosphere. This is probably the most important location lore-wise in all of fallout.
Hey ox I think the crater was inspiration for the glowing sea.

The glowing see: Am I joke to you?
I love Fallout 1's and 2's immersion, I really wish that a modern Fallout had THAT level of immersion and roleplay mechanics. That'd be a dream come true
I never knew how deeply connected the Gorgeous Ladies Of Wresting and Fallout were
Oxhorn, hope you are having a great day and that you and your family are doing well!^-^
38:14 I don't know Ox, children can still be dangerous with a weapon.
YOU'VE RECEIVED A LARGE DOSE OF RADIATION
Fantastic to see more Fallout 1 content. Early fallout doesn't get enough love. Oxhorn is my copilot
wasn't the corpse with blue key card the vault dweller whom the overseer previously sent ?
Your narration is on point, as always. Your correct annuciation of "allele" made me smile. Great video Ox, keep em coming.
Hey Mr.Oxhorn-
What happens if you have a female character with high luck when you go to the Death hand? Do you still resemble his father!?🤷🏻♂️

“Maintenance Service Needed. Great. And here I am with low repair skill. Well, at least we have a ‘tool’.”
😂😂😂
There is soooo much snark in this one I love it!!!
No Oxhorn. Screw Fallout 4's interpretation of Powerarmor. I prefer the non-limited older variants, where the t-51b had a built in power supply. Where the ENclave power armor had its own onboard reactor. This video just reminded me of one of nitpicks that caused me to dislike FO4
All power armor had its own on board reactor before fallout 4 came out
@@dekuton that just infuriates me more.
@@SenHai agreed. Been feeling annoyance for bethesda's handling of everything fallout sice fallout 3 was first shown off.
Like how powerfists and rippers USED to work compared to the bethesda versions.

Can’t wait till you reach 1 million subs Oxhorn, you’re almost there my dude
Ox youre almost at 1mil subs
Love your story telling it really pulls ya in and lives the way you explore every detail especially with the older fallouts cause I've never played them
Unfortunately chess with Zax is unbeatable due to a bug. It was supposed to be beatable for those with 10 intelligence, but a scripting error prevented this.
Got to hand it to these developers they were very thorough with their descriptions and terminology when creating the lore behind the FEV, that's really awesome to note!!
Why can't they remaster this game, even for phones or tablets? A killing is to be made.
CrEaTuRe -ZxVzX- it’s an old game with easy to proses graphics so it could probably be ported to most platforms
It’s actually a very funny story. The reason why we haven’t seen a remaster is because Interplay and Blackisle literally lost the source code for fallout lmao
Oh my goodness Fallout 1 has sooo many Lore gems that is vital to understand the other more modern Fallouts like New Vegas, 3 and 4, also 76....Wow!
You hear that, folks?! PvP has been in Fallout since the beginning! Multiplayer in Fallout is canon!
1 million subs OX! You got this man.
