Mardi Gras Fountain, Lakeshore Drive, Lakefront, New Orleans, LA 03.11.07 Photo's by Spot & BigFD007 Music by A. J. Loria - If Ever I Cease To Love [theme song of Rex Organization]
I grew up in New Orleans but now live in Georgia. I would love to see the fountain one more time all lit up with color. We had so much fun around the fountain as kids and as a teenage girl I loved to watch the couples and dream of the future possibilities. Makes me so homesick for NOLA and all the good things of the past that I loved so much.
Thank you!! This is my all time favorite song after seeing Rex and Comus meet for the first time - I sobbed for days feeling as if I'd been invited to Cinderella's ball - thanks again!
This song really describes all of New Orleans and our love for it... It's heaven on Earth and a whole lot of beautiful nonsense.... and no matter what... we will NEVER stop loving this place.
This song makes me cry as I grew up in New Orleans. Also seem to remember the song "Tonight" from West Side Story at the fountains when I was little ~ Thanks, Cheers, DAVEDJ
People tend to not believe this is the Official Mardi Gras song... that's because you from other places catch beads and show your stuff... we're sweet!
FIFTY FOUR + YEARS AGO I ASKED MY WIFE TO MARRY ME AT THIS FOUNTAIN. THERE WAS NO FENCE BARRIER AROUND THE FOUNTAIN THEN. WE MARRIED IN 1967 AT ST. JAMES MAJOR CHURCH ON GENTILLY BLVD AND WOUND UP LIVING DIRECTLY ACROSS FROM THE CHURCH AND LIVED THERE TILL '75 WHEN WE MOVED TO CALIFORNIA. CAN'T SAY MUCH MORE THEN "THANK YOU FOUNTAIN" AND THANK YOU "NOLA" {{ AND I'M THANKFUL THAT MY WIFE BROUGHT WITH US HER CULINARY SKILLS MAKING IT POSSIBLE TO ENJOY FAVORITES LIKE GUMBO, SHRIMP CREOLE AND RED BEANS AND RICE. YAHOOOO }} THAT'S MY STORY AND I'M STICKING TO IT. HAHAHA....}} P.S: GREAT SINGING A.J. BOTH WIFE & I THOROUGHLY ENJOYED, AL

Finally with the words!! Awesome
Thank you. My grandpa sung this to me before he sadly passed and we’ve been trying so long to find this version.
My greatest thanks
