DTC Tips & Tricks course at dtcuk.co/online_courses/test-... is suitable for experienced learners and international drivers
Many learners who fail their driving test, do so within the first or the last few minutes. Let us start off by talking about the first few minutes. Why are so many mistakes made at the beginning of the test? Well, the main reason is that this is when your nerves are at their highest. You properly have 101 things running through your head.
The good news is that there are positive steps that you can take to ensure that you drive just as well in the first few minutes, as you would drive throughout the test.

I totally agree with sticking with same shoes and clothing 👍
Hello 👋 Thanks for the support
Thank you for the tips,i got my serious fault in the first few minutes of my test because of the nerves, the rest if the test brilliant so next time I really need to relax more and be positive.
Hello Katarzyna 🖐Best of luck!
Thanks for this video. I was a learner myself almost 3 years ago and I passed first time in automatic with only one minor fault. I was insanely nervous during the test for its entire duration. I was reasonably confident during the lessons, but very nervous during the test. I was relieved when I got my test certificate to say I passed. The examiner advised me to move forward a little so I could see vehicles coming from the right better, since my view was blocked by a van. I took the examiner’s advice, and I parked up after the final turn and got the result! 😃
Hello. Thanks for sharing your story.
Good tips there thanks, I passed at the end of May and until my test I was so nervous but soon as I met my examiner he put me at ease, lovely man and we chatted a lot. My local test centre is on a 20mph zone on a trading estate so that gives time at the start and finish to go slowly and get comfortable for the drive ahead. My instructor had taken me to by the test centre several times and made sure I was confident with all the turns off that trading estate and that really helped.
Thank you, Alison, for sharing your story

I was lucky I watched this video before my test yesterday and I passed (in Bolton) on the first attempt with one minor for hesitation. Thank you so very much for your detailed videos.
Congratulations. Drive safely
Very good tips for the learners. This should help them immensely. Thanks
P.S. hope your thumb is on the mend.
Glad you think so! 👌
As always, thanks for another video with great tips.
I'd like to ask you, a video if possible, explaining about tyres. I frequently see cars passing by with flat tyre, but can we change a tyre if we know how do do it, or it is no allowed? Thnaks
Thanks Fabian. Great suggestion! Video on Tyres coming shortly, within next this month
Exactly
