    Hi Carl. No one could accuse you of not having a go. You certainly are getting the most out of our hobby.
    Cheers and good DX. 7 3 de VK4SOE

    Another very nice video, I really enjoy your campouts always beautiful scenery, and I also enjoy your detailed explanation of your gear that you bring along, you always explain why you brought along that particular piece of equipment.

    I have been watching your channel for a few months now. I really like to see videos like this one because the idea of getting out of the shack and camping out with the radios is awesome. The only time I have ever done anything even close is on field day. I think I will try doing some time.

      Thank you, yes it's a fun thing to do, keep it simple and make a list of kit to take, I've learned the hard way 😄

    Nice DX contact :-) .... the halo antenna looks like a real winner, particularly for portable use. Cheers, 73

      2E0EZT amateur radio I was quite pleased with that contact, too. I was working /p with 50w and a 7 ele OWL yagi up 9m on Culver Down, Isle of Wight. 104m ASL. I’d seen a Facebook post describing your activity so beamed at you and heard you very quickly. Congrats on your operation and channel. Steven 2E0PUT.

    Well, the home brew halo did not let you down did it? What a great contact P to P as well. Super mate. 👍

    Nice. I plan on making some camping videos too. Maybe do a meet-up in the summer?

    Great vid. I spent an evening camping with radio on other side of Axe Edge Road about 25 years ago. Rather murkier condx that night. Never been to that trig despite living so close in Flash for many years. I also think some of those ‘parallel paths’ are sheep runs.... designed to confuse. Hope to catch you next Sunday and unless you around on 2m between 1700-1830 local this evening? I’ll probably call in after the RSGB news (Keele/SOT) on 145.525. Cheers for now. M1DDD

    Are you interested in SOTA it may help you make more qso's, assuming that trig is a SOTA summit. good video

    • @M0SZT
      @M0SZT  5 років тому +2

      Thank you, I'm interested in SOTA but don't take part mostly due to limited time to access summits further afield. If I was to start something (like SOTA) I get too focused and my family will hardly see me 😄

    Which Winlink server were you using ?, or was it a Peer to Peer link.

    • @M0SZT
      @M0SZT  5 років тому

      It was a server WNLK-1 on APRS via a packet repeater.

      No problem mate. They are actually now redundant due to GPS but very useful as markers for navigation in hills etc.

    Next time your going up on a hill put a short video up the day beforehand, so we can keep you busy on the radio.

      Yes I'm heading up today, I will use a couple of the radio Facebook groups and also post an update on UA-cam now. 2m, 6m (FM) and also 20m all with military kit.
