@@umbreonandespeon Yeah, me too. I think the OP is correct “in spirit” though, because the audience won’t really regard it as “music” as most commonly would use the term. It’s “rhythmic noise” that conveys more raw emotions of stress and anxiety.
@@UndertakerU2ber I guess that's more subjective, I was just showing this scene to a friend of mine and I told him how much I loved the "music" for the aforementioned reasons I stated, but I would also agree that it isn't "music" per se, but regardless, I think it's a phenomenal scene 🙂
@@umbreonandespeon I think strictly speaking, sound is determined to be music or noise based on whether or not it has a recognizable rhythm and tempo. An atonal drumbeat is considered to be music if there's a recognizable pattern to the beats. If the drumbeats are chaotic and without structure, then it's just "noise." Same goes for singing, where a structured progression of notes/chords is music, but random howling and screaming is just obnoxious noise pollution.
What makes it great is he read that gon would fake and go to the left side of the screen. You can see it in his eyes, he tracks gons destination before he went there.
My favorite moment of Hunter X Hunter is when gon landed that awesome hit flush on Hisoka’s face, and then handed him his number back. That was awesome.
Unlike Hoshin Engi and Berserk... What I like about the remake of Hunter x Hunter is that: It stays true to the manga It doesn't try to be all dark and edgy like the 99 version It has the color schemes that Togashi intended to have for the characters and The designs/art style matches the manga more than the 1999 version
This was one of my favorite scenes, Gon gives him the badge from the Hunter exams back because he was finally able to punch him like Hisoka did in the exams! ♥️
Great story Great fights Great villains Great characters Great animation Great power system Hxh is nearly the perfect anime which is why it’s the best anime
One of the better shoenen fight scenes. The absolute aura and atmosphere. The lack of crowd noise, lack of commentary, lack of soundtrack. The ominous droning? It's crazy.
I could re-watch this video for hours. It's not the same as when I saw it the first time, but it's still amazing. Since I have nothing better to do, I'll say what I like about this fight so much, and probably what most people like about it. The fight itself is just downright epic, it's just awesome overall. Then there's the stakes. We already know that most likely, no one is going to die, so nobody's life is on the line. So what makes this so awesome? Well, since neither of them will die (most likely), it means that we (at least I) had no idea who was actually gonna win. In battles to the death, in an anime like this, it's usually easier to tell who'll win, since the protagonist often has plot armor (There are exceptions of course, but this seems to be the case most of the time). Since this ISN'T a battle to the death, it's really anyone's match. The stakes aren't their own lives, or the lives of others, they're the pride of the combatants. Mostly, the pride of Gon. Hisoka utterly humiliated him, and Gon wants so badly to win to restore his pride. More than anything, Gon wants to punch Hisoka and return the badge he was given before. And he does. In a way, that single punch fulfilled Gon's goal. I remember being on the edge of my seat the whole fight, wondering who would triumph. Hisoka was obviously stronger, but maybe--just maybe--he'd slip up, and Gon would win. I really WANTED Gon to win, because I knew how utterly satisfying it would be. Just punching Hisoka once isn't enough, Gon has to WIN. But at the same time, I couldn't tell. Because Gon won't die, his plot armor is rendered useless in this battle. So once Hisoka began to take the lead, and the judge began to favor him, my heart rate about doubled. Gon would win... right? His pride is on the line, he HAS to win, right? Wrong. After all, Hisoka IS objectively stronger. Gon punched him, and restored his pride in a way, but even then, despite all of his training, he wasn't strong enough to bridge the gap between himself and Hisoka. The whole fight kept me on the edge of my seat. And for once, the protagonist restored his pride, but still lost the fight in the end. The opponent was too strong, and no amount of determination could change that. The stakes and the setting were both perfect to ensure that the victor would be a mystery. Such an incredible fight. Alright, I'm done rambling now.
This scene was when I realized HxH could be on par with DBZ (DBZ was my favorite). However after watching the Alluka arc, I would say that HxH is the best anime I’ve ever seen yet! But this scene was when it started to jump the list for me!
