- Things definitely start getting interesting at around $50,000 with these trucks. The MSRP is around $55,000 for a fully loaded Trd off-road and around 53 to 54 for a sport depending on the options and at this dealership you can get an SR5 with the lift kit, wheels and tires for 49 to 50 and if it’s a Trd model expect to pay 50 and up ! The good news is you should be able to get at least $5000 off of any 2020 for Toyota Tacoma right now. I bough my 2019 Tacoma Limited brand new, fully loaded only $37,700 on sale! Drove it 5 years Only 50k miles since!
in CO they’re offering 6k off, but not on TRD models.

If Toyota would have updated the looks and and tech, kept the V6 with minimal price bump it would be a whole different scenario in sales.

Do you read anything guy? The turbo 4 which by the way is outperforming the older underpowered V6 was designed because of the strict EPA guidelines for fuel efficiency. That is why everyone and eventually Nissan will have to do the same thing. By the way the 2024 Tacoma rated by JD Power is the most reliable MidSize truck so far. It is also the top selling Mid-Size truck.

@@briansalisbury4764 I read plenty about car stuff. EPA indeed has incentives for sure for car manufacturers to make smaller engines. In regards to horsepower and power that is not what built Toyota their customer loyalty.
That V6 sucked. It was a Wheezy Atkins cyle POS. I had a '19. Sold it.
Tacoma should drop the prices immediately, example SR 4wd, 25,000.00 SR5 4wd 28,000.00 Sport 4wd 32,000.00 TRD Off-road 4wd 35,000.00 TRD Pro 4wd 40,000.00 Trail Hunter 4wd 45,000.00👍

Yeah the truck market has been out of control for a while but it even worse with inflation not a good time to buy unless you have to and if you do you could probably get a good deal now because they see not many can afford or are willing to pay that price’

Starting to see quite a few in my area now. Crazy how many are taking the risk wuth that kind of money.
If you get a 2024, don't completetly rely on it until it's determined if the transmission is going to need replacement and the front strut towers/caps will need some type of repair. I've been awaiting the '25 4Runner to arrive but not if the 4Runner has major problems. I can keep my $60K+ and Toyota's dealers can keep its new vehicles.

What issues specifically? The turbo four has been tested by numerous testers to be better than the V6, including Car & Driver. An underpowered engine. And what issues are you talking about. The Tundra was having problems. The Tacoma is one of the most reliable Trucks so far in 2024. So where are you getting your misinformation from? Please post it.

I went to buy a tacoma and left with a tundra for the same price, this is what i'll never get over. These trucks need to be $40 - $45 fully loaded so that red one would be $35 with the lift.

These trucks look nice, I’ll give you that. But for the money they’re asking, you could get a nicely equipped Colorado ZR2. Neither one of these trucks even has the rear locker. What goofballs are buying these things?
Ask the dealer if they give you the factory wheels and tires when you buy one of these.
They do not. Which is why most do these mods after purchase, hoping to sell them online only to find out everyone has theirs for sale also and the value isn't what they hoped. Unless they fit older trucks.

They look OK, but man for being made in MX w/4's and the turbos... no. Buyers have to remember the max you'll get out of a turbo is 125k miles and that's with good maintenance. Then what... $2500 - $3k to replace the turbo? Ouch!! Honestly, what were Toyota executives thinking.

It's hilarious, the Tacoma is still outselling every other mid size truck. The only thing close is the Sierras and Colorado sales combined. To those complaining about the price, get the SR trim 4x4 double cap automatic for $36K. It still has ATRAC and if people are honest, it is sufficient for most offroad needs. However, if you want the iForce Max Hybrid power and torque, 14" infotainment system, 12.3" all digital cluster, crawl control, MTS, stabilizer bar disconnect, rear locker, Bilstein/OME/Fox shocks with remote reservoirs, 33s, dual-zone climate control, leather interior, heated and cool seats, heated steering wheel, power everything, park assist, lane centering assist, adaptive cruise control, surround view cameras, JBL sound system, etc., etc.; well, you gotta pay for those. It is 2024, not 2004. There is no more 99-cent Big Mac, $3 matinee movies, or $1.19 gas.
