NoMa Washington DC is coming on the up and up as well, with a lot of high net worth individuals moving into the area. The bargains for row houses are outstanding, along with it being a more reserved area of DC, oppose to the NW area of the city. I frequent most of these areas in the DMV, finding that I love Arlington, Virginia and NoMa DC. The upload was amazing! Keep up the excellent work!

Yes, lots of new construction in NoMa. Though we love Arlington more for its casual low-key vibe. Thanks so much for tuning in!

Old Town Alexandria is great too. Jazz, opera venues and an assortment of restaurants, some with a view of the Potomac.

I lived in Georgetown when I worked in DC shortly after I graduated from college. My apartment was right around the corner from then-Secretary of State Madeline Albright. To say the least, the presence of Secret Service agents made our neighborhood extra safe. Plus, the bustling streets of Wisconsin and M were a sight to behold especially at night.

I grew up in the DMV. You covered everything in this video very well. Great job!

The DMV is so beautiful. Too bad it lacks the character and excitement of other Northeast regions like NYC and Boston. Once you get past the monuments and the museums, DC is VERY bland.

True. It’s difficult to top the activity and culture you’ll find in NYC and Boston. The DMV has a very serious and less playful vibe to it. Thanks so much for tuning in!

NYC has too much congestion and rats. A literal safety hazard at times. NYC is a city you stay at for a week or so and then go back home.

Chevy Chase, MD includes a super dense neighborhood (fun fact, it ranked as the most densely populated census tract in the US for years-not sure if it still is or not) of high rise condos and apartments, it's not all single family.

Ok…I live in Bethesda, but not in one of the McMansions so popular in the area. We live in a older neighborhood that was built in the 50’s, with many of the homes, at least on the outside, like ours, pretty close to how they were originally built. Many residents of the DMV are current, former or retired Fed gov workers, like my husband (he & 1st wife bought this house in the late 80s.) Most former or current gov workers who live in this area bought their homes two or three or more decades ago when the homes were much more reasonable. Even a higher level government employee, or couple making a combined $200-$300k a yr wouldn’t be able to even touch most of the homes around here now, at least not without a struggle. New construction homes in this area rarely start below $1 million. So besides gov workers, you have a lot of attorneys, lobbyists and other professionals who must make very high incomes to afford the homes here. So many “not so high income” people commute from much further out. Like the crazy high home prices of many other populated cities in the US, home prices here are just out of site for many people, putting a stress on those who are not able to afford to live closer in to their work.

Yikes, McLean does not have a county club. Great Falls, with a country club, has a slightly higher income level. I lived in Potomac for 23 years, don’t forget about Sergeant Shriver (father of Maria Shriver) Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad and Lynda Carter to name a few notable present or past residents. Also Massachusetts Height, in upper northwest DC, Massachusetts Avenue is actually known as Embassy Row, with numerous mansions and Embassy’s, even Washington National Cathedral (6th largest in the world) and Elite American University. Mass Avenue is an area in DC of inherited wealth, so don’t go by salaries.
Great job, however, many residences in these areas are far more impressive than the ones you showed in your photos. I think Darnestown, Md with its mansions and horse farms outshines Vienna, Vienna is not considered to be special by DMV wealth standards..
I’ve lived in Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Potomac, upper NW and now McLean. As a senior whose lived in the DMV most of my life.

Many thanks for all the DC tidbits! Unfamiliar with Darnestown. Will have a look into it. Thanks for watching!
