Understand that a lot of these players have been playing this game for many years, some with upwards of 1000+ hours into the game. Don't get discouraged and feel free to ask players for advice if they are friendly enough.
first of all you need SPEED, and base knowledge of the game mechanics. how to train it? beat 1v1 brutal at every map using various factions, you need to learn and remember all unit cost, time to create, ability cost, cooldown, requirements, strong and weak vs, even micro ability if any, also you will need to know all important object in a map likt T spike and T field location so you know where to get reso or expand faster. Do it many times and slowly add difficulty by handicapping yourself. secondly you need experience, strategy, instinct and reflect. how to get those? As sparta said, watch replays from pro and try to mimic those players moves. Slowly but surely you will get the grasp. lastly you need LUCK mate, seriously at some point you will get unfortunate and say, fuck it, eventhough you really sure your decision was the best or your harvester got stuck and dancing like balerian, or even your right click got broken and your game got screwed all over or your machine got lag and hang with whatever/unknown reason and lastly power cut. They just build defences in their bases, waiting for their enemy to come at them, giving them all the tiberium on the map. If thats what you're doing, dont. Just try to get expansions on the map, dont be afraid. The rest needs skill, you need to see whats happening on the map quickly, know the unit/building costs and hotkeys of the game. Then you're ready to be an average online player.
+Tpico Gaming this game is like W3, you have the fun part and the esport part ( where you have to be on Korea level to at least win one game ) C&C is more esporty than W3 tho....... i am just a player of C&C 3 TW that can only defeat easy turtle AI ..... *shrugs* but i was really good at TD maps on W3 tho

The maps you mention in your description, do you happen to have them? Clicking one of them for download ends with a blank page.
I like having corrupters targeting mechapede heads, am a bit annoyed the head has a laser as it prevents using it as a mega corruptor.

there is a defencive structure named aa battery and its a bit useful when your opponent has three full airfields:-(
God...I'm not a pro but Panic did a real bad job. Going all out for attack with Air ships, no ground troops as support no defense. Nothing.
Lol Death and Cyber team had Mantis and Slingshots which is a pretty good against all that air.
there is also a faction named reaper and u can mix shard walker and tripods instead of feeding slingshats with screen air forces
Andre and Panic always play slow and gets destroyed from rushes like this
