The speed of advances in AI is astounding. The voice sounded very realistic. This technology opens a whole new world of creativity and who has access to it. As a musician, I have concerns about the loss of the personal experience of physically playing an instrument. For me, there is something magical, ineffable about the experience. I know this doesn't matter to the listener, but it does matter to the musician, as it affects the creative process itself. This could be a good or bad thing, as our physical limitations are part of what defines us as human, but it can also be an obstacle to seeing what we are beyond that.
I do agree...playing a real instrument is an amazing experience....these tools have to be seen as way to enhance your possibility as musicians....like the midi guitar, or any other virtual instrument....but of course the experience and the journey of learning an actual instrument, evolving time after time is unbeatable. Thank you!

Brilliant, i love a bit of A.I. my bandmaster used it to separate a guitar solo I played on a live band recording and use it in a studio track. Brilliant stuff.
Fascinating technology. Not something I will personally use, but it's pretty cool. I think some of the creativity from using AI tools could come in the form of mis'using them in a way. EG, making a voice sing in an inhuman pattern or way like inhaling too much or holding a note beyond normal human singing length, etc. AI in audio itself can be pretty interesting. I used Eleven Labs a few months ago to record myself speaking in different voices or accents and then generated voices from that. It didn't work quite as expected but I learned a lot from what the algorithms liked and how different voices were represented. It was a lot of fun. cheers

Discussione interessate...sono combattuto se abbracciarli o combatterli...per me Synthesizer V è come un qualsiasi virtual instrument ... va programmato e la parte di composizione resta tutto in carico ai musicisti...quindi secondo me è un bel strumento. The AI vox sounds like an averagely good singer singing averagely well. Not much character to be challenging, and no-one will hate it. But ... music should be about more than that. IMHO. Of course, you could spends hundreds of studio hours tweaking and adding character, but why not collaborate with a real human being? (Complete with their egos, vanity and ... creativity.)
Yes...good points...but you know, not everybody can have access to a real singer...and we can say the same thing for a drummer....or a piano player...in my demo songs I use a lot a virtual drummer....I mean EZDrum...you may say that a real drummer would be much better...but it would be impossible for me to produce all the songs I use in my YT videos with a real drummer...so that tool is really enhancing the possibilities I have to create songs...this Synthesizer V is pretty similar. If you think Napster helped killed the music industry, just wait and see what A.I. is going to do to it. But let me say that nowadays Virtual Instruments are pretty common....EZDrummer for drums, or VST bass amps or bass...are pretty common...Synthesizer V is like a virtual instrument...the creative part is up to us musician, that we have to create the song and all the vocal parts with midi and text...like we create the drum parts with midi. Here the creative process is not substituted by machines, ... the music is mine and not created by the I.A. Then of course there is the soul of the singer and its interpretation, that are invaluable and can't be substituted....but it's like the soul of a drummer or a bass player.... For sure it's a controversial topic....and to me the "thin red line" is when the creativity part is left to machines, I mean when machines create the music track.... Thanks!
I am very familiar with the Virtual instruments such as EZ Drummer, also using Midi with my keyboards, they are great tools. Do I use these tools, Yes I do for performing and recording original music but you miss the interaction of a musician or band. I am a solo singer/guitarist and perform using my keyboard with midi files....Does it sound good...Yes, but then you get accused of being karaoke by some even though I'm playing all the guitar parts....You are Right, it is a thin line...I do Love your channel and you are a tremendous player with great insight into the music scene....Much appreciation.@@LeoGibsonGtr

I embraced the modeling a LONG time ago, back in the 90's and with modelers emulating real amps, which btw you do incredible sound comparison videos with digital vs the real amp. I always thought there will come a time they will do some type of gear where you can dial up a singers voice such as McCartney, Freddie Mercury and you start singing and your voice will sound like there's....I suppose you still have to sing in key though. ..lol. .I guess we either embrace or get left behind.@@LeoGibsonGtr
I didnt like her singing. it was like a typical musical theater performance. Very typical, perhaps suitable for Disney film as a backing track .. Thats all it is so far.
@@LeoGibsonGtr The only capacity in which I could discern and would suggest they were AI generated is consistent with my previous comment, where my experience with vocals is heightened to the unusually distinct clarity and precision of enunciation. That is the primary clue to me. Otherwise, it is quite convincing. Now that I am aware of these AI vocals however, I will undoubtedly be suspicious about what I hear in the future, and may be able to develop my “AI radar” a bit better. Cheers Leo!

Real vocals are never that clearly and precisely enunciated - to my ears, real vocals are routinely mumbled, smeared, and difficult to discern.
