It was so nice to hear their voices described this way. I saw XG recently in Los Angeles and was so amazed with Juria. Her voice is simultaneously soft and powerful which is a bit harder to pick up from recordings. She's my singing bias in XG. It might be Chisa as well but she's my designated comedy bias. 🥹😂
I hope one day to hear them live. The recording does not show even 20% of reality. Their quality is so great (and there is still a lot to grow) that choosing one or the other is like choosing between two 100 years old French wines.🍷👽
She has great control over vibrato. I think her fluttery vibrato goes really well with her innocent singing voice. That’s what sets her apart from the rest. It also makes her runs sound like an instrument, sometimes like a flute, other times like a string. Simply beautiful. Her voice reminds me a bit of Tevin Campbell when he was a kid.
Thanks. One thing I noticed from them and Juria in particular because she did this song a few times is they improve performance to performance which is probably the reason they are who they are. They clearly watch tapes and concentrate on sections they want to improve.
Appreciate your genuine reaction coming from a classical singer like you who can explain the technical details enveloped in their singing and performance. And yes, I believe XG vocalists especially Juria and Chisa are on a higher level than of that kpop standard in terms of vocals and performance. I also love Juria's low notes as much as her highs and that she has full control over it as I have witnessed it myself in Manila. I have seen multiple fancams but the quality of the videos thou of high quality cannot do justice to how clean and precise she sings, the details she puts. I'm not sure she has limited range than Chisa's as she sings some parts which only she can sing I believe. I suggest checking their performance on The First Take yt channel - "Shooting Star" and "Winter Without You". Hope to see more XG reactions soon ❤
