    Will never play this type of game since I found out that the game operator can change the pay out rate, meaning that it has absolutely nothing to do with skill and pushes it into the category of being rigged.

      All these games are rigged. That’s the whole point of these games.

    This one was a really good one! The problem with those games that you need to click on time, most of them are a scam, Mark Rober made a robot to play it and click on the button on the exact time and even clicking perfectly it always misses, so is hard to play without going bankrup haha. Anyway good job!

      @@helloyanis That video shows scam in america but this is Japan. The only "scam" here is that they arrange the items in such a way that little will fall when you only active it once or twice.

      yea there is a big difference between the ones in the us and europe and the ones in Japan. the ones in Japan are more skill based. the ones in the US are half payout half skill and the ones in europe is 100% payout.

      @@radry100 Don't be so naive, the japanese ones are just as rigged as any other machine outside japan.
      Claw machines will always have a loose grip for X amount of tries until they finally get a regular strenght grip.
      These rotating ones are always set to overshoot 4 out of 5 times even if pressed perfectly with a robot.

    • @thetallguy9068
      @thetallguy9068 Рік тому

      ALso remember that the mark rober video showed one of those games where it was one big bonus, not like this game where there were so many arrows. I promise that if we took that same robot and modified it to work on these games, it would probably work the same or better!

  • @JustPlainRob
    @JustPlainRob Рік тому +60

    One of those machines was clearly moving you off the arrow well after you hit the button. I've seen that a lot in the US where games like this aren't super regulated, but never thought I'd see a blatantly 'rigged game' in a Japanese game center.

    • @WargasKitar
      @WargasKitar Рік тому +6

      Well, most of the machines are rigged to some extent - claws can grab harder or softer depending on the settings, you know the drill. But the easiest ones to rig are these pure programmatic cabinets like ones in the video, since people can easily misattribute even the most blatant rigging to their timings, not seeable mechanisms. That's why I've always skipped this bullshit while living in Japan. Easily one of the most unfair machines out there.

      These are everywhere and perfectly legal. Its how the arcades make their money. Guarantee so many lose before giving out a prize. Really takes the fun out of the games
      The machines in Japan that arent "rigged" like these tower games are in a way rigged that you would have to usually play many times in order to get the prize. But they are more skill based and more fun because there's a small chance if you are skilled enough you can win much faster than others. But arcades in the end are like casinos. The house always wins.

  • @lowenevvan8619
    @lowenevvan8619 Рік тому +16

    You can see just how rigged the big towers really are. Every other light has an arrow. It should be a 50/50 that you can hit an arrow, but it makes you think you're consistently too early or late, which isn't likely at all. And then he hit the same arrow twice in a row, one that was already down, showing his timing was clearly not bad.
    Not to mention the way it's stacked. The trays on the ramen tower basically can't fall through, preventing a lot from falling in. The 2nd tower had chocolate bars on the bottom to act as a platform so you need 2 or 3 arrows before it'll budge.

    These games are always rigged, but still fun to watch. The ways that the cups and stacked are made so that less falls but it looks good, and the timing is always off. Yet I still like how these types of machines are coin operated compared to the US where these machines usually only take credit card or debit card. I think that your next video should be opening these prizes up! I would love to know what was actually inside those 46 candy boxes!
