Very great portable unit, I'm a fan of Zoom products, which I have 2 Zoom l 8's, Zoom Q2 and Q4, and my trusty Zoom R8. Had the R12, R16 ( a solid choice for those cramped on space ) and R20. Thing is with the R8, R12, Q2, Q4, and the newer models like the R4 you can use these in your vehicle via usb and also with a portable battery back. ZOOM IS VERY USER FRIENDLY 🤘🏆
Thanks for the review! I have an R4 as well and enjoy working with it. Question - in terms of powering the R4, one can use batteries or the manual refers to a separate 5V charger which is not included in the package. Am I correct that the charger is NOT included? I believe one can also use one's computer as well.
Thanks for the review I have one and it’s great for acoustic guitar. Super easy to get going quickly and no gain to set. Was wondering how you got the audio and video to align, eg did you record separately and edit later? Sounds great!
@@kurtross1402 I have done it both ways. Built in mics are pretty good. I also use a Lewitt 440 Pure large diagram condenser with great results and a new stereo pair Behringer c2 small diaphragm which are very good and inexpensive.
Yes - It's outstanding. Too good really. I try to overdub my vocal harmonies and it works great, but really reveals every mistake I make with startling clarity. Bad news for my lack of talent - good news for the R4 performance! It's an excellent bit of gear.
I just got the R-4 can’t wait to get started recording my music 💡 ideas! Thanks for the information.

That’s a good recommendation, thanks! I’m in the market for a portable 32 bit field recorder

Sure did. I synchronized the audio with Adobe Premiere
@@tonyleeglenn sounds great 👍. I have done that in iMovie but it’s not very exacting.
For acoustic do you use the built in mic? Or do you plug directly in or use external mic?

Hi Tony if you get a chance could you upload a tutorial video on the R4 after you get familiar with its features…. Love the singing ❤❤❤
Sure will. Video coming soon.
Are you able to load a backing track and add tracks to recording individual 4 tracks
Yes. That would work.
Thank you for responding 😊
Do you still like it? Recommend?

@@tonyleeglenn just ordered. What tripod stand is compatible?
@@mikemcconville2495 I just use my camera tripods or selfie sticks. It's the same threading.
Zoom Tps 5 stand works solid, Walmart and Amazon also sell stands which work very great.
