- M*A*S*H favorites, Loretta Swit and Jamie Farr talk with Michael Fairman on the red carpet at the 45th Annual Daytime Emmys Red Carpet about the special iconic series anniversary and their time playing the beloved characters of Hot Lips Houlihan and Maxwell Klinger.
People really miss out these days by binge-watching shows.... With a show like M*A*S*H, these people would come into your home every week for 11 years... They became a part of our lives in a way almost no modern show has done. I still know these characters better than most characters on TV today, and still love them dearly.
So true.
They are like family or close friends.
I grew up in Toledo and to hear "Klinger" Jamie Farr talk so much about Toledo.. Mud Hens, Tony Packos, Galena pool hall, on MASH, it always made me happy. Thanks Mr. Farr
Go T-town
Same here. Born in Toledo and I met Jamie in 1987 when I was 18. What a nice guy and he always talked up Toledo.
Jamie Farr was essentially playing himself as Klinger. He was from Toledo and served in Korea (and was the only main cast member to do so).
Nice to see them both looking & sounding well. Was recently binge watching episodes, and saddened to see how many of the cast had passed away. Thank you for some of the best years of serial TV.
I just love Loretta Swit and Jamie Farr. They are class acts. Miss Swit is very interactive with her fans. Jamie Farr served in Korea and wore his own dog tags on the show.
You are correct about Loretta. I have left her several messages on Facebook and she does reply, maybe not the same day, but usually in a few days to a week!
LOVE you guys soooo much. God bless you
When Jamie Farr looked at the camera at 1:14 i don't know why but i raise my hand and wave to him LOL ;- ) Anyway good to see both of them, its always a bit sad as we are losing so many who was in MASH. Still hard to believe David Ogden Stiers (Winchester) is no longer with us. Take care and happy new year everybody ; )
LOL OMG I did the same thing...
I miss Larry Linville and Edward Winter (Col. Flagg) too. The entire cast was superb.
So that's david ogden stiers as Winchester. He always struck me as the American/ boston version of British actor Peter Ustinov who acted as a doctor also in comedic situations. Probably Russian born actually.
Possibly the greatest TV series in television history. M*A*S*H is a legend.
I'm jealous, he got the opportunity to interview to great tv legends. I did get to talk to Gary for about several minutes back in 84 while he was filming After M*A*S*H. it was the pilot episode .
Adoro essa série. Atores fenomenais.
Go hot lips, pride of Passaic n.j...my brothers grade school classmate at Holy Rosary
My favorite characters was first Radar and next Klinger.
The ppl next to them oblivious....blah blah blah, missing out on a great interview. Youngsters I suppose....it’s a new generation.
New generation my eye, im a fan and i was born after the series had ended...ive collected the whole series and to this day still watch it
That's the cast from The Real, a talk show doing their own press.
That's Loretta switt. I believe she had/has involvement wwith animal welfare organizations. So does Brigitte Bardot . I know that many never heard of Brigitte these days . I used to do occasional odd jobs for Brigitte in Paris.
His nose grows bigger and bigger.
