In this webcast, we discussed the thought process a trader might go through in selling a covered call prior to earnings. We placed an example covered call trade to illustrate the concept. We also discussed how a trader might consider managing an iron condor trade. We placed an example trade to demonstrate legging out of an iron condor position. Lastly, we placed 4 new example trades based on trade reversal patterns. The trades included long call verticals and short put verticals and all of the example trades included targets exits and were placed on the thinkorswim paperMoney platform.

Do you have a short on when to exit on loosing option trades? I've been watching for a few months and right now that is where I question myself.

In this class we trade a lot of different option strategies. We a long vertical for example, the goal is to exit if the position is down 50%. With a long option with a 1ATR target, those trades are managed in a very specific way each day. If you look at the example trading plans within the Trade Management Mini Session there are some exit guidelines included in each strategy.
