During season’s 1 episode 5, a character listens to “Berlin Chair” while driving a car, and repeatedly skips the song backwards, as she tries to decipher a word in the song’s chorus. The character initially thinks that the lyrics are “If you wait, I’ll give all my eggs to you”, before later realising that Rogers in fact sings “I’ll give all my aches to you”.
Needs the awesome silver dancing man. That was the secret magic to the visual impact of the song. Both the song and silver man imprints onto your brain. This clip could be any band with hair and guitars just add Austin Powers

wow! they made a usa version video for this????? ahh interwebs....you always seem to find something new to surprise me with. ALSO sounds to my ear like the track was remastered for this as well.....interesting. 18 years later & its never too late to discover something new about stuff.

I had Sound as ever and hi fi way in 95 and was living atop a pub at the time Annandale Hotel .and got to see a lot of the bands. They basically sounded like the records no real difference (a bit disappointing) and their groupies snuck upstairs to snort coke in our bathroom (not cool) Glide,Sidewinder and Drop City were the.three best bands to play regularly there at the time in my opinion and i only saw You Am I once to be fair.
It wasn't particularly glamorous, They had no interest in me, They probably couldn't even tell the name of one of You Am I's songs, Typical Groupies, Alternative music wasn't popular at the time, All my friends listened to Thrash Metal and Hardcore Tecno, Whenever i put say the Cure on the stereo all my friends would say is get that shit off.
@@kriz716 i loved the Annandale Hotel for gigs. Was hanging there at the same time most weekend nights so we were likely bopping in the same room :} Sidewinder were fucking brilliant! Saw them there & at the Metro every time they played those venues. Did you ever catch Rail at the Annandale? I really liked them too but they were a bit more mellow. Also Big Heavy Stuff were a great underrated band that I think played the Annandale. Of course the Fauves always rocked the room too. Oh what a great time for aussie rock! Some of the best memories of my life :}
What I see here is a bunch of people bitching about how bad the video is, but 28 likes and 0 dislikes. I personally prefer this over the first version, it has better shots of the band members.
I actually heard this song on the radio in the US once. Once. This was actually after I had heard it on the Quarantine soundtrack. But anyway, as the video shows, their US promotion wasn't very good.
SANITIZED NONSENSE. BRING BACK THE DANCING ABBO AND MY 90'S GF NOW OR I'LL SHOW YOU HOW YOU REALLY REALLY SMASH A GUITAR UP! WHAT IS THIS? HITLER'S GERMANY?
If by 'made it' you mean they were never big in the US nor sold a gazillion records, who gives shit. Considering the song below was number 1 in 1992 and sold over 1M copies in the US, I don't think either figure is a yardstick for good music. ua-cam.com/video/B0yGvypBwyA/v-deo.html
The only shit that really ruins here is having to read that comment without any constructive criticism, thus letting all your intelligence be seen here. It cannot be expressed better, sorry bro you, you are a artist sorry 😂😂😂👍👍
@@killerkendro yes im watching de orher clip The problem is that this band was not supported enough to be able to create high quality clips like other bands, but despite that the quality is shown in their music, not in the video
Greatest Australian band song ever.

What does Tim

what an uninspired clip for an awesome song. Give me an elderly man in a sparkly jumpsuit any day
I'm 8 years late to this comment but 100% FACT! (didn't know this clip existed)
Funny how the US versions of things are always remembered as the shit ones
I disagree this video is improved by not including that little sub.
Havent been able to finish this one without going back to the original.
Um...why the need to re-do?
Doesn't an old bloke in a skin tight sparkly suit translate to the u.s.?
Whoa anyone notice how high Andy Kent’s backing vocals are in the mix of this version?
I just watched the aussie clip and yeah, youre 100% right.
yea, theyre louder, and the "oooo"'s in the chorus. also the bass mix. i like it more honestly, as odd as it is.
One of the best lyric writers ever in rock and roll history, and by the way plays a fucking mean guitar. Love YouamI
Give me the original clip any time
Love this music.
Awesome song!!
Now the singer is in another great Aussie band, the legendary Hard-ons, perhaps the best live band to walk the earth in my opinion.
First time hearing, love it ❤

c´mon to Granada (Spain)
I like the 60’s Faces like clothes they wear in the other clip. They look like 60’s blues bands like the Yardbirds in this clip.
