This is absolutely amazing. I can't forgive myself for not discovering about Les Friction sooner, because their work is absolutely jaw-dropping, legendary, and gives the word "epic" a whole new definition.
When ever I hear this song I can't help but imagine a cute fantasy like world singing the first part about them self and the second part is them singing to a cruel and brutally realistic real world, but when it come to the "your world will fail my love" and "you can't fill a hole with a million empty souls" this is the real world singing to the fantasy world, because even though every thing the united, wonderful and magical fantasy world sing about the real world is true, the real world is still the only one that actually exist, and even though it is indeed a "hole" the fantasy worlds inhabitants are all just imaginary beings made as an escape from the cruel reality, so empty souls that will never be able to fix what is wrong with the real world... Seriously I wish I could draw cause the visuals in my mind when I hear this is fucking amazing and I would love to share it with everyone else but this description is the best I can do at this point.
Yeah I suck at drawing but if I spend enough time trying to get it right eventually I do just takes awhile so u should go for it u might surprise ur self if u put in enough effort

Honestly the song fits perfect for stellaris in general. Can think of it as a fallen empire talking to others, a devourer hive mind, or other perspectives
It will stay broken and people will continue to be deluded that they're the number one species. Number one, and somehow we can't even formulate world peace or come to a mutual understanding. I'm no misanthrope, it's just things like these that remind me why I hate people. Always thinking they're above animals just because we could build nukes or turn an entire species into foodstuffs.

It's what makes humans so scary, we're unpredictable.

Those fools doomed our empire if only they had listened to the advice of one who had encountered them before."
To put this concept into a more detailed form: "They all laughed at me when I said it would be a mistake to assault Earth. I kept becoming the punchline, shamed and dishonored as human forces fell beneath our shells and lasers, to say nothing of the dropship deployments. Monuments crumbled, nations shattered, and any possibility of defeat seemed to do the same. But they didn't understand. Not a single one of them. I am really beginning to like Les Friction and they're music, the music is like perfect, its rock, but not hardcore rock, and it fills you with emotion unlike any other song
I've got a hot take on this song... (I did have to look up the official lyrics though, this has quite a few wrong ones) This song almost seems to be about an alien invasion, where the enlightened are invading or destroying something quite below them. The song is definitely sung by someone who sees themselves as above "Your world". I would argue it's sung by a conqueror that considers themselves compassionate (Though if they are is up to you to decide), or perhaps more a prophet who is proclaiming the end of your civilization. "I come from a world where all alarms are false" (I come from a world where there are no real emergencies) I come from a world that only has one pulse (I come from a unified world) In all worlds nothing is immutable (We know that anything can be changed, and nothing has to be set) This is his belief that "Your world" can be changed. Compare this to "Your world". "You come from a world that suffers from neglect" (There is much in your world that has unmet needs) "Your world has got you alone and silent" (There is much individualism that is separating your people. There are people being silenced) Only one world is mentioned, so this is a single planet, ununified, with many peoples being silenced. Basically earth. So now the conqueror has made a judgement. "Your world will fail my love" (Your world and its ways are doomed) "It's far beyond repair" (There is nothing you can do to change this anymore) "Your world will fail my love It's all ready there" (Your doom is already beginning) Is this a story of the conqueror falling in love with an individual from this broken world? Or has he fallen for its people as a whole? You can decide. The change in the song's energy shares this conqueror's rage at this sight. Whoever he is singing to, he's trying to convince them that they can no longer fix themselves, but he has an answer. "Calm before the rage" (This is a false peace) "Hostage in a cage" (You're a prisoner in your own society) "Now its too late To wake up this place and bring you all back to life" (Things have spiraled out of control, you can no longer liberate yourselves) Is this a declaration that he can't change your world internally, suggesting that external force is now needed. "Your world will fail my love It's far beyond repair Your world will fail If you are alive you must run for you life" (Does he want you to run away from him and his destruction? Or toward him and his salvation?) "It's calm before the rage Hostage in a cage Your world will fail now What will it take just to wake up this place Bring you all to life" (Just what must I do to change this place, and fill you with life again?!) I feel like this could have three overall translations from this point of view. 1) Salvation: He is here to break apart this broken, irreparable world, and build it anew, filling its people with life again. If you realize this, run to me, before its destruction reaches you too) 2) Destruction: He is here to destroy your world, there is no helping your world anymore, its end is here. If you recognize this, run. 3) Doom: He is taking no action. He is condemning the world is impossible to repair, and the cause of its own destruction, which will eventually happen. I personally think the first option is the most likely, because the 2nd and 3rd options ignore his previous statement "In all worlds nothing is immutable", and he calls the individual or people of this broken world "my love", though I suppose this could be twisted into a dark form of mercy in the 2nd option. If this was a movie, I'm thinking... Someone is abducted by an advanced alien race. One of the aliens falls in love with that person, be it platonically or romantically, and the alien learns much about the world this person came from. The person is returned safely to their world, and a period of time passes. The person then receives a message from the alien, where he declares his judgements of this world, and that he can't stand to see this world suffer in this state any longer. The alien asks them to gather their loved ones, convince as many as they can to find safety, and await his return. The person now has to decide what to do with this information, and in their efforts to reach out to the ones they want protected, they find themselves being silenced by the officials of this broken world. They are on the run, they are a wanted person, they are considered a danger to the peace. In the end of this struggle, there are only a few who are willing to stand by this beaten, bruised, and shamed person, and they can barely hold onto hope themselves. ...and when all seems lost, the sky alights! Fighters and ships burn their way into the atmosphere, and proclamations are broadcasted in the native language from the largest ships. The siege of this world has begun. The streets are filled with panic, the world's military goes to war, but in the silence of their small shelter in the mountains, the person and the few loyal to them look to the skies with hope. Their salvation is here!
Beautiful. Simply, beautiful. Reminds me of that one movie where one guy wearing alien skin disguise in a covert mission to learn more about the alien race, only to fell in love with another alien and ends up betraying humanity... Except, you know, yours is cooler.
This song is talking about humanity. Our world has us controlled and silent about rampant corruption and oppression of anyone who is not rich. Our world has us alone and silent, isolated from each other as a result of our culture, either intentional or unintentional. Silent meaning we are all distracted from real issues and fighting each other. We can't do anything great with 7 billion empty souls, we are all depressed and dead inside, just trying to survive, one step away from destitution, we press on mindlessly. It is the calm before the rage, we are all hostages in the cage that is our stagnant system. Bring you all to life: "I don't want to survive, I wanna live!" -the captain in the movie 'Wall-E' If you are alive you must preserve your individuality. What will it take just to wake everyone up from this madness? And bring us all to amazing journey of satisfying life?!
I was trying to search anything start with “your world..” and I found this amazing video. I think the atmosphere of this song would greatly fit with any video games dealing apocalypse as a theme.
"S-sir? Should we turn the ship, sir? That glass isn't rated for kenetic strikes of that magnitude... I-I know they're just rocks, sir, but they're already that far from the planet, and they're pretty big... Yessir, turning the ship, sir." ~Helmsman Dorkei
YES! I haven't talked about that series in years and years. Depending on who you think is singing the song this takes on such a different meaning for different characters.
A perfect world with one mind, one pulse, and one sovereign power of mankind, established as the voice. Ideal in theory, massively bloody in reality. These are not gentle things. These are *docile*.
@@kikoolol740 It could very well mean that society is self-destructing, not the world. The picture is a metaphor, it isn't literally what the song is singing about. The planet, and its people, are 'self-destructing'.

Bring you all to life" (Just what must I do to change this place, and fill you with life again?!)
I feel like this could have three overall translations from this point of view.
1) Salvation: He is here to break apart this broken, irreparable world, and build it anew, filling its people with life again. If you realize this, run to me, before its destruction reaches you too)
2) Destruction: He is here to destroy your world, there is no helping your world anymore, its end is here.
That's an amazing interpretation.
Beautiful. Simply, beautiful.
Reminds me of that one movie where one guy wearing alien skin disguise in a covert mission to learn more about the alien race, only to fell in love with another alien and ends up betraying humanity... Except, you know, yours is cooler.
Amazing, can't get enough of Les Friction!
Hopefully, they will keep making music!
Bring you all to life: "I don't want to survive, I wanna live!" -the captain in the movie 'Wall-E'
If you are alive you must preserve your individuality.
What will it take just to wake everyone up from this madness? And bring us all to amazing journey of satisfying life?!
CAN'T. SAY IT. ENOUGH.
THIS SONG IS AMAZING.
I was trying to search anything start with “your world..” and I found this amazing video. I think the atmosphere of this song would greatly fit with any video games dealing apocalypse as a theme.
I think there was a Stellaris:Apocalypse cinematic with this song.
"S-sir? Should we turn the ship, sir? That glass isn't rated for kenetic strikes of that magnitude... I-I know they're just rocks, sir, but they're already that far from the planet, and they're pretty big... Yessir, turning the ship, sir."
~Helmsman Dorkei
"this is a really cool shot"
"indeed"
"now lets get outta here before we get destroyed aswell :P"
Metal Triops Sir, it's too late
Keanu Reeves Sir, why dont we roast some marshmallows with the scorch of the planet about to hit us :D
"As well" is 2 words
I'm hoping to make an animated short for this video. Not a good one but hopefully it captures the song well.
I don't even care!! I broke my replay button! Im so happy, I know all of their songs all by heart! Ive been waiting for years!! Im crying!
I JUST DISCOVERED THAT LES FRICTION IS THE SURVIVING BROTHER FROM 2000'S EPIC GROUP - E.S POSTHUMUS!! WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW
The 1st half of the song isn't bad but the 2nd half of the song is absolutely amazing
These lyrics remind me so much of the I Am Number Four series, such an amazing series! Such an amazing song❤️
These are *docile*.
because he destroy a planet ? , the situation is"far beyond repair" from what he said
@@kikoolol740 It could very well mean that society is self-destructing, not the world. The picture is a metaphor, it isn't literally what the song is singing about. The planet, and its people, are 'self-destructing'.
"We only took one planet!"
"True, but an example must be made. No one touches my things, especially small empires with delusions of Grandure."
I am so happy that the Gods of epic rock have returned
He was born to destroy planets....He was born to reign the entire universe
Nothing will stop his irresistible dream...
*Thanos triggering*
This song gets my creative juices flowing.
Perfect masterpiece by the best band in the world.
Once again les friction strikes our hearts with wonder and exitment once more.
:D:D:D
When you awaken the pacifist fallen empire
even if it's just the melody, I would love to have it in Stellaris, it fits so well
Never heard of these guys before, came here from a SpiffingBrit Cinematic edit, holy fuck was I missing out, their stuff sounds great
That’s how I found them too! I’d personally recommend Dark Matter, World on Fire, This is a Call, Firewall, and Love comes home all by Les Friction and can all be found on this channel.
Humans won't change, nor believe in it. Our world is unique, like many others in our galaxy.
Humans are idiots. If they won't change, they will stay idiots. This world is unique in ignorance
If sin and hate werent around to make humans idiots and vermin, maybe things would be better. But then again how would we improve upon things and make things better if everything is perfect without sin?
TheFallen Then what does that make you ?

And the powerful lonely warrior standed there from his ship
Watching for years
The planet so dear to him.
Besides the inhabitants being so cruel to each others
The warrior felt love for one maiden, a princess
That is the only reason that prevents him from destroying so cruel planet.
Years have passed and him watching his love
But like a blade tearing his skin apart, the princess revealed herself and he could see
When attaining the age of majority, she murdered her’s elders
So the planet had a new queen
The warrior haunted by his falses feelings, suddenly became beserk
Love gave way to hate, and now he knows:
“I cant fill a whole with a billion empty souls”
The ship energized and shot a lightning to that people cruel’s home
And in some minutes that place would be done
He cried as he saw his love running to save her life
But that place is far beyond repair
And now
Your World will fail my love.
The world of people, who disliked will fail.
I'll care about it.
I love how you confidently say that, but you completely forgot that we all live on the same planet.
Three years ago, sure, but I'm stealing the phrase "I'll care about it," for myself now. It's a raw line.
The extended part at the end makes the song a lot better
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought of Stellaris for this song!
Hey, that's a nice Starpoint Gemini Warlords wallpaper you have there!
finally someone who recognized it
POV: Peak civilization decides to crack planets for fun.
The chills are soooo reeeeeaaal, Les Friction just gave me another reason to live
SO DANG BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

They who?
This song makes me think of the game stellaris a lot.
too bad the picture used is from a game called strike point gemini
(its a cool game, you should check it out)
I mean, there is a Stellaris start with a doomed homeworld of your race that's about to blow up.
@@boxcarz to bad the games 0 fun unless you know a lot of friends that have it. AI is trash and to many meme/meta builds in open matches the last game the guy named his empire cancer and it was.
Love this song so much, every time i listen to it i get new DnD inspiration lol

At 1:23 just turn your volume down all the way as if to fade it out, pause it, bring the volume back up, press 4:00, and hit play.
Someone reviving les friction. Good.
Wow! Les Friction is back! As talented as ever!
This song is only good when you give it the full attention it deserves and become aware of it, rather than it being simple background noise.
Whoah, whoah, whoah! Les Friction is back?! I thought they had stopped making music. This is great :D
THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL! its amazing
They caught me in the second half, not gonna lie.
Legends came back! Finally!
I just realized how well this song fits Solas and Inquisitor Lavellen.
I can see this amazing track being used in a future Infinity War trailer, that would be so epic!
Better than the most popular pop/rap songs that everyone loves, they can all go to the trash when I hear this.
IDK why but I imagine how I play stellaris when listening this!
Somebody actually did a Stellaris: Apocalypse cinematic with this song.
