can I connect the red wire to the normally closed terminal on the pusher cut out switch because putting anywhere else means 3wires on one terminal. it's also connected where it only get energy where the acceleration switch is pressed. is that OK.
The first shot is most likely weaker than the successive shots because of the diodes in the stock trigger cluster area which lower the voltage to the flywheels. They're the reason why the stock Rapidstrike's motors rev up faster while firing. I haven't actually seen the internals so I am only assuming.
the power is picked up from one of the motors (should also go through a diode to stop feed back but mine doesn't which is why you will notice the lazer light dies out slowly as the motors decellerate in this video) then through a 5V voltage regulator to the lazer diode so it comes on when the flywheel motors are energised
I just mod a Rapidstrike and wish to build something realy cool into it. I don't want to use a Laser because a Laser can be very dangerous. do you have another good idea (flashlight into the sight)
Hey Will, Yes, I would definitely come to an event ... my biggest problem is finding time lol My mods usually only get 1 hour spent on them 3-4 nights a week and weekends are usually all family time so I squeeze my Nerfing in where ever I can lol. I have a dream of one day doing a large HvZ ...in like an abandoned warehouse or something like that .. I would love that ! Cheers
3 x 9v in series or parallel ? ... so 9v with 3 x the milliamperage or 27v ? List of inclusions : 1. Stock mod = 3rd mid lock point 2. Motor replacement (french 130s) 3. Rewire = (15awg? 20awg?) 4. Switch replacement (3 X 5a microswitches) 5. Voltmeter mod (connected to jam door switch) 6. Laser sight (connected to Rev trigger) 7. Muzzle flash mod (4 X super bright LEDs connected to pusher switch ) Am I to supply the donor blaster or are you ? Please confirm so I can quote accurately, quote will be in AUD$ ( p.s. my time and skills are valuable so it won't be real cheap ) Cheers, Jodo.
27v, stock mod= no, motor replacement =yes, rewire= which ever one will last longer, switch replacement= if its needed, laser sight= no, muzzle flash= no and you plz supply the blaster best regards ronnie from team orichalcos
Team Orichalcos the motors are only 12v rated, you can get away with slight overvolting up to a max of around 16v but 27v would burn them out and destroy them. I could build it to run on 2 x 9v batteries (18v), I would just have to erp it down a little to the motors so they don't burn. Give me your email address for a quote or contact me via facebook page "Nerf Mods by Jodocast" ... Thanks
Maybe a 24v motor but I have never seen one that will fit ? ... if you want to have a look and see what you can find you are more than welcome ... I just don't have the time to look for parts like that... it needs to be either a 130 or 180 size motor. With the budget you are speaking of I can include everything that is on this blaster including postage and you still won't go anywhere near your budget
I don't think I could part with this one ... it has EVERYTHING in it .... would have to be the best RS around. The only way would be if someone made me a rediculas offer that I just couldn't refuse ...like $1000.00 or something crazy ? lol
Yes, down under you don't HAVE to have an orange tip BUT ... it the blaster could be "reasonably confused for a real gun" then it's pretty much illegal ... it's kinda situation dependent if you know what I mean ?
The paints look very good.
Damn! You transformed that Rapidstrike into a BEAST!!! Great job...
I love how lights flash when you shoot it, very cool and did not expect that. Nice work :)
Im in AWE! Mate this blaster is the truth! .Wow mate this is a work of art! Congrats!
That is the coolest Nerf Rapidestrike ever
thank you ... I love it myself 😊
If I broke into someone's house in the middle of the night and they whipped this thing out I think I'd shit my pants. Just the sound alone is insane.
These guns are unstoppable at virginity defense!

That's great blaster!
Nice paint job

Ummmmm..... Nothing in this is stock ... watch part 1 and you will see what I mean

What clear coat did you use to keep the metallic paint from dulling?
That's crazy good!!
This is the sexiest gun ever!
Thank you :D
Glad you like my work
Full of surprises! I have something in the works l know you'll like?
What wires and where are the wires you connect the laser diode to. How did you calculate the resistance for it.

The trigger mod is very slick. Email me a link to the motors, I would like to trial a set.

Think you would ever come to a MNW or HVZ Melb event? I know a lot of people including myself would love to see you there.

J0D0CAST I'm pretty sure the next hvz campout is going to be in an abandoned warehouse, just saying.
will schlecht So now I am very interested ! lol ...when is it ? web site ? link ? ...Thanks heaps :)
Just like the HvZ Melbourne page. It's not an official event yet. We do have monthly events that get big turnouts though.
cool ! done :)
do u sell nerf guns the u have done mods to I'm looking to get a modded rapidstrike cuz I don't have the tools or know how to do it my self
how much for one of these instead running off 3 9 volt batteries with no paint job or trigger mod

ok thank u very must for responding
Thats illegal without any orange
Not in all countries ! .... and believe it or not, yours is not the only one in the world where people mod Nerf blasters ! lol
J0D0CAST well if I were you without an orange muzzle I wouldn't go outside with that thing lol
J0D0CAST do you really not need an orange tip? In the U.S. that's way illegal
Yes, down under you don't HAVE to have an orange tip BUT ... it the blaster could be "reasonably confused for a real gun" then it's pretty much illegal ... it's kinda situation dependent if you know what I mean ?
