You blew my mind with that tone in the beginning, Scott. You’ve been part of the Keeley family long enough to watch my team’s growth. Honestly, you can run it in an effects loop. Don’t worry about the drive control. It’s really lush in a loop! Midi is coming in 2025 for Keeley. You know us Scott, we develop everything in house. And then have to built it! 😂. It takes us a little while to catch up. I’m glad you feel that the tone is top of the line. That’s what I’m after first and foremost. Many thanks for your great review!
Great video Scott, I especially like that you spend adequate time on the ergonomics of these new larger pedals, the big Bakelite knobs are definitely a great design idea. I think the one thing that could work out great would be to extend the edges or move the switches in slightly so that when placed side by side you don't risk hitting the wrong switches. When these do go MIDI I'd really like to see presets and the big knobs converter to expression knobs that could see midi output to control other pedals. It is unlikely you'll be using a Rotary sound on everything and a pedal like this would be ideal for quick foot controls to more compact pedals without eating up the real estate you want in a mid or full sized exp pedal.
Don’t know if you meant to say it, but each Strymon rotary reference was for Flint - whereas their rotary pedal is the Lex. Flint has nice trem though! I have a Keeley Rotary coming, and hope to use it to replace my Lex or Neo Mini Vent2… both great. For readers, this pedal also supports a brake function, ramp rate, low speed setting (for ramping high to low or low to high). Thx for the demo👍😁.
Yes, I have had so many pedals over the years simple slip. I love the Strymon stuff, I just never seem to keep it. I’m also working on a Zoma video, so many ways to shake the sound 😂
@@ScottGailor hehe… no worries (I get it😁)… Yes, Bob and his team are knocking it out of the park with these recent pedals. Looking forward to receiving my own Rotary (hopefully shipping this week!). Cheers!
How many rotary pedals has Keeley made now 🤔 ??? And didn't Stevie Ray use a Fender Vibratone ? Not the same as a Leslie, almost but doesn't have the treble horn. And did you mean Strymon Lex instead of the Flint ?
I have three total. Not sure how many overall. Stevie did you use a Leslie on the Alive record (that was the reference I was thinking of). I sold al flint, lex and big sky. So simple mix up
I always think about this when someone says XYZ used ABC product, they probably used a tonne of gear we’ll never even know about too 😂 Glad you enjoyed the vid :)
He used the Vibratone, until he was big enough to tour with the Leslie. The Vibratone works fine. That Pedal Show had a guy with a Vibratone on recently, and they show how big a difference there is between it and a digital one.

Thank you !!!! I’ll try the loop tonight. This will be a permanent fixture on my board ❤
Thanks guys, it’s so great to have both of you believing in what we do :)

Some delicious rotary tones, great work Mr Keeley and great work Scott on the demo 👍
Thank you!

How does this compare to the keeley Monterey? It includes the ability to use rotary with an expression. Thanks!
This is more “rotary” sounding so to speak. I have the Monterey and that is more Uni Vibe ish. Hope that makes sense.
Well, it is Black! (I have got White covered)
