    The work you accomplished on these old boats is awesome. Especially the details and quality give the project new looks that make for a better boat than it was when brand new. Truly inspirational and can’t wait to see the completed project.

    Yep, it’s (incredibly) nice when everything is working in a boat. It’s that feeling of accomplishment and “new” boat feeling.

    Yes and I live very close to you in the Keys. Working in the sun is a really hot job down here. So watch out for that UV and hang in there. I’ve promoted your channel over the years at Dinner Key and elsewhere. We appreciate your efforts, thank you…

    You're such an inspiration dude!
    Been watching you for seems like 10 years now. You have a great way of teaching in my opinionJust found your podcast channel too. Weird seeing your face instead of a transom and bundle of wires! SOmeday I'm going to figure out what kind of boat is right for me, and use all this knowledge! Making the full time FL move end of the year. Ready to be out on the water near our IRB. Have a great weekend

    When I install power poles or raptors I just use a 3/4 step drill works perfect for the grommet hole

    I love how the Minn Kota Raptor mounts to the jack plate instead of the hull. The less holes you have to put through the fiberglass the better. I’ve had bolt holes on my boat that weren’t properly sealed leak. It would have sunk if it wasn’t foam filled.

    Love your videos and great content.The only thing that you often do is call the different items on your boat ( Things ) As l am still learning many terms for the parts on a boat l would like to know just the actual names of these things your talking about such as a bolt, bracket, steering hose, drainage hose. ECT so when l go into a boat shop l can ask them about a type of clamp or switch or hose. Thanks 👍

    When you put the thing on, did you tighten it to the other thing? Love the boat revamp, coming along nicely.

    Haha, when you put it in I didn't realize that was a drain scupper for the amp wire feed through That's a pretty good idea I like that!

    Could you tell me what glue/sealant you use for the radio panel 🙏 thanks.

    • @BornAgainBoating
      @BornAgainBoating  25 днів тому +2

      Depends on the material, but for most panels: amzn.to/3YNMJzi
      And for starboard: amzn.to/48D235c
      Elastomeric

    That is an awesome job. When you did the batteries, I was hoping that you’d say what size marine cables you used.

    • @BornAgainBoating
      @BornAgainBoating  17 днів тому +1

      That always varies, but for the most part for engine, 2-4 gauge depending on size of engine and the distance

    Hey Aaron quick question brother. I’m in the process of polishing my boat. And I’m having a bit a struggle keeping the compound of drying up on me way too quick, I’m doing it late in the afternoon when it cools off. When it come to adding water water how much can I add? I’m using the ketchup bottle that you recommend. Thanks in advance brother. Looking up to the next live pod

      Um, I'm guessing it's cooler where you are than where we are lol you might be trying to work to much of an area to soon, are you doing like a 2-3' section at a time or going bigger? You might also have the polisher going to fast, hopefully you figured this out by this time :/ but you shouldn't have to water down the polish, I water down the compound, but not the polish

      @@BornAgainBoating yes sir I meant the compound lol not the polish. But that what I ended up doing, watering down the compound. And it turn down looking beautiful. I’m actually in SWFL lol hot as hell 😂😂
