Boating on Periyar Lake at Sunrise | Muttathil Restaurant | Road Trip Periyar to Kochi Kerala

Just got round to editing this footage. This video was shot when we visited Kerala in December 2018.
We started out day 4 in 'God's Own Country' really really early, with a sunrise boating excursion on Periyar Lake. Two Roving Hearts spent the night at the Periyar Tiger Reserve in the Thekkady district of Kerala and woke up to the serene mistiness of Periyar Lake at dawn. In this video, travel with us as we make our way back to Kochi from Periyar and stop for lunch at the iconic and highly recommended Mattathil Bakers & Restaurant (location: SH 1, opp. Marginfree Shop, Kuravilangad, Kerala 686633, goo.gl/maps/wM....
At Mattathil, we devoured some delicious dishes that were perfectly prepared ... Meen Vattichath (Spicy Fish Curry), Prawns Pepper Fry and delightfully light Malabar Parathas. The meal was super satisfying and we to this day, dream of going back on that road trip just so we can make a stop to eat at Mattathil.
