Great job with this review. We are all looking forward to seeing your review of the Cervelo S5. Will that be coming soon? Can you also compare the S5 to the Dogma F that you tested and describe which bike accelerates faster, holds its speed better, climbs better, and overall feels like a faster bike. Thanks!!
I'm working on the S5 review now. I need to get a few more miles on it, but I should have the video up in the next week or two. Also, good suggestion about doing a separate comparison to the Dogma F!
do u think the curved shaped design they did at end of the seat will last for long without breaking , i am worried about the long term duration that that seat design , any thoughts on that ?
thanks for taking the time to tell us what to expect, I have a question; How do you compare this one to the previous one? I have the gen 6 and I just love it. I also have the Emonda which I bought it after the Madone and the only thing I didn't like about the Emonda was the stiffness around the seat tube. I would get a lot of pain around the kidneys due to the vibrations of the road and I also felt like I was too upright, that gave me a sensation of being unstable. Now, my Madone is the same size, same stem length, same saddle height and has also the same reach but the stack is slightly different and I get no pain at all maybe because of the ISO speed.... best bike I ever had hands down. With that being said I don't want to spend a lot of money on another "EMONDA". So, do you think that TREK dropped the ball with this gen 7 not having the iso speed? Is it worth it over the gen 6? thanks !
Great questions! I haven't ridden the previous generation Madone but I do think the new Gen7 is pretty smooth, but it is still a race bike. Trek claims that the new Madone has the same comfort as the old iso-speed set to its firmest setting. Maybe that can help you compare?
@@utahcanyoncycling Well I just went to my local Trek store and asked about a madone they have in store, Its the smoke’ish charcoal gray color to be exact with Rival, I’ll probably test ride it tomorrow if I have time, but the manager told me that the Madone is stiffer than the Emonda, and he has the same Emonda as me but in red. I told him my concern and he definitely agreed with the fact that the new Madone is focused on being aero for the most part rather than being comfortable. He said that they are waiting on the new Emonda that will probably come out in 2024… but still I feel like the Gen 6 is by far better than the Gen 7 because the option of adjusting the stiffness, and pretty much they agreed with me. My weight is 160lb and I am 5’10” so I am not that heavy
I see that you use garmin on stem, i will do the same because this blendr base mount comes with the box (mono base) and also duo base i had for light&garmin together getting loose after few KM ride or ride in some bad roads with vibration. This is very annoying issue and i never had this problem on my old 2020 Trek Madone frame with it's original stem&handlebar combination...
I use a 3d printed mount that screws into the bottom of the saddle and extends just enough to be able to fit a saddle bag underneath. -- In this video I just used the standard Garmin mount with rubber bands since this was a loaned bike.
@@utahcanyoncyclingis the madone slr faster than the s-works sl7 tarmac??? I'm thinking about swapping my SL7 frame for the matte black trek madone SLR frame..I need more comfort..the SL7 beats me up after 30-40miles
O ok..I own the 2022 s-works tarmac..do you know how the Madone compares to the Tarmac?? I'm thinking about getting the all matte black trek madone SLR..the tarmac tends to beat me up after 40mile rides..I love the speed but need comfort..
This bike costs more than my car. Unless you are a pro it's a waste of money to buy this bike. Maybe Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, or Elon Musk could afford this bike providing they ride of course.
Finally a regular person’s review of the madone
I totally agree..I said the same thing to myself
Great review!
These are the reviews I like to see from the customers

I care a lot about the paint job and that is a big influence to bike I buy.

Great review. How tall are you for 58 size and how did the fit feel? Trek online guide has smaller height for 58. Thanks!
I’m 6’1” or 185cm the 58 fit me really well.
@@utahcanyoncycling Awesome! Super helpful
Im surprised at the flexiness of the bars. Can those be upgraded? Thank you!!!
Yes, you can change out the bars, but you’ll need to purchase a different stem and headset cover first.
Good review. Thanks

Try some loctite on the bolt that holds the Garmin mount and stick with just the mono base.
Heavy? Please state the weight
7.7kg with pedals, not including computer mount.
Hi, what Varia radar Mount do you use?
I use a 3d printed mount that screws into the bottom of the saddle and extends just enough to be able to fit a saddle bag underneath. -- In this video I just used the standard Garmin mount with rubber bands since this was a loaned bike.
Great vid. I'm looking to get their cervelo S5. I'll be looking forward to that video.
Working on it right now. Should be up next week!
Which bike is stiffer/more racey, emonda or madone?
Both are great race bikes. The emonda feels snappier, the madone feels faster.

This is the SLR version

Is the handlebar really that flexi?
Yes, they are not very stiff.
Yes
How good is it for climbing?
It climbs well, but not quite as sharp or snappy as a lighter stiffer bike.
Emonda is way better. Not madone not bad
"I didn't like how heavy the bike was," is a subjective opinion," is a subjected opinion. What is the weight of the bike?
It weighs about 7.7kg with pedals, and a tiny bit more once you add in any computer mounts, bottle cages, and light mounts.
😊

That's true but if like me you love bikes and hate cars it's a worthwhile investment
It's also an investment in your health.
