- Last time we did a video with Big Lewis he was aged 13 and 1/4 and measured in at 5ft 2.5.
After turning age 15 he had grown to around 5ft 7, but now after turning 16, how tall do you think he is?
Watch the video and find out how much height he has gained.

I was 5'11.5 right after i turned 16 and 6' 1 at 17. dang he actually out grew me by more than half inch. I'm 6'2 flat now. everyone's grows differently
Daaamn he looks really tall, and i measure at 5'10" too (178,3 cm), i sometimes think that i am quite short but when i look at people that are as tall as me from far i realise how tall i actually look, 5'10" is after all a good height nothing to be ashamed of.

5'10 isnt short anyways. anything below 5'9 is since thats the average height globally for a male. it's how it would logically work. above average is taller, below average is shorter, and at average is average.
@@powerscaleroffiction959 5'9 is the average height in the U.S. and maybe in other western nations as well though I assume that the average height in northern European countries is higher... Anyways, worldwide speaking, the average height for men is 5'7.
It definitely isn’t lol, that’s just what the media portrays nowadays. 5’10 is above average in most countries and is considered pretty tall in some countries where male heights are below 5’6

Nah I feel bit of short even im near 5'11 so 1 inch not gonna make me tall. But maybe in USA and Britain it can be bit of tall if average is 5'9. Here average is between 5'10,5-5'11. And for young people 5'11,5. My cousin is gonna be exactly 6 foot and doctor told him he will be average.
@Jimmy Batson not all of Europe but the dutch are very tall, im around 6’2 idk how to say 187cm in inches but i think its a tad bit shorter than 6’2, us dutch people are on average the tallest in Europe and among the tallest in the world.

I guessed nearer 5'11 and I'm sure most people would assume he's taller due to his frame. At the end he looked nearly 3 inches taller that you but he's still at a very good height at 16!

In my case height really is genetic.I am on the nose 5'7 and my uncle is or was also on the nose 5'7(1.70).I always thought why am I not catching my fathers height(5'8).Then I just realized that my uncle has the EXACT same height.Its really amazing how the height gene can be transfered so directly.

wow im the same age as lewis and i just saw the most recent video of him being almost 6'3'. I was the same height as him here at the same age and im still the same height now at age 20 (5'10' and a quarter)
I measured my height today I’m 14 and I got 181cm - 5 feet 11.26
And to say I got a friend who’s 5’8 5’7 I can say this is accurate
I'm good at guessing heights so I wasn't surprised at guessing 5'10.5" only to be off by a quarter of an inch. Noishe.

I was 6 ft at 16.Didnt grew much afterwards.Maybe inch and a half.On the best day ever i measured 6/1/2 or like 187 cm.I was so fucking close in being generally tall 6.2 but alas.No cigar

Hey Rob, is it still possible to squeeze out about 2-3 inches after a significant growth spurt ? I was around 5'0 two years ago and know I am 5'11 but I haven't noticed any growth for a while. My goal is anywhere in between 6'1 and 6'2

@@shimshon8503 I am just under 182cm in the morning but my night height is very bad 179cm so I drop quite a bit losing about an inch throughout the day. So still 5'11 but I have made small height gains in cm from 180cm to 182cm

Hey rob,I love your website and look through it very frequently, I do find height/nutrion/fitness/human behavior very intriguing so as a result, I relate to a guy that studies height very close like you do, I am the exact same height as you, in the morning I scrape 5’9 and during the day I’m a little over 5’8. I just recently got a minor upgrade from 5’8 even to a little over 5’8. However, Ijust turned 17 years old last month. Will I reach 5’9? Taller? What do you suspect my final height will be?? I know I’m close to the end but just curious.

Yeah I thought he was about 5'10 maybe 5'11. When I was 16 I was measured at 6'1.5". Now im 24 and im just 6'2.75" so he maybe can reach 6ft

When I was that old, I had the same height as Lewis have now, maybe 1,5 cm lower. Now I'm almost 20 years old and I'm 6ft 1.5, I don't know if I still growing or not, but 1 year ago I was just a weak 6ft 1. I think he might can reach 6ft 2.

Anyone know if tape measurement has a major inconsistency? I ask because I've always received odd height measurements from tape measurement. Usually when I use tape measurement I get around 5'9" to 5"9.5" but my brother who is my height has been measured at 5'11" which makes more sense. My dad (6'3") is 4 inches taller, my mom (5'2") is 9 inches shorter and both have been measured at the doctor's office. Plus the height of all my friends would seem correct if I were 5'11".
What is my real height can anyone help me out? When I got my height measured at the hospital using the height/weight digital machine I am 5 foot 9 but when measuring myself with a tape measure and a rectangular object I am just barely 5 foot 8. can anyone tell me why
@Greg Lurik I always use can against the wall method and I always end up around the 5'9" to 5'9.5" range. There have been times where I've been measured at 5'8" and even 5'7.75" but I disregard those. I've even measured my self at diffent locations and I generally get 5'9. But again this just seems odd to me considering that a lot of people I know that are shorter than me will claim 5"10 or shorter and the guys taller than me will say they're 6'0" or taller. With this said it's makes It hard to believe that they are all measuring way taller than they actually are

hey rob my morning height is 6'1.25 and my evening height is slightly over 6'0.5" and i'm constantly asked "how tall are you?" because I was a lot shorter when I was younger and I usually say 6' 3/4" but people look at me funny when I say that because i'm using quarter inch increments. So should I say i'm 6' or 6'1"?

Hey Rob is it possible to stop growing at 15. I am 6ft and I don't want to be a big guy. I am an early bloomer (puberty at 10) and my height bugs me because I tower over most of my friends.
@@RobPaul Are there any particular signs of height growth ending? I heard that when you start widening out you stop growing vertically. I do question this alot because I do have an adult like body and my growth seems to be ceasing (not 100% sure though) but I still have my doubts.
To slow or stop your growth you would have to pick up a lot of unhealthy habits which is obviously bad.

Could be giganticism then. That kills you after a short while. Thats not normal at all, and you should check if u have a tumour on the pituitary gland (the gland that secretes human growth hormone). If you just have an extremely tall family, (i.e 7 foot +) then it maybe different.
