  • We've watched a few stages of the Tour de France cycling race from our motorhome at the side of the course. But, we remember when we first saw all the vans lining the route and wondered, how do they know where to go? We put together this video to help you if you fancy taking your motorhome or campervan to France to see it for yourself.

Big thanks, didn't realize the pre-race caravan was so marketing/entertainment oriented, or that there was one. Did figure it was a game of cat and mouse to jump a stage for a spot and watch the Tour De France go by for all of a few minutes. Again thanks, TV doesn't show much of the pre-race spectators staging!

Foolishly or otherwise we're going to see if we can find a spot on the Col de Tourmalet. It goes there on Saturday so we may get there on Thursday and hope for the best.
