I still think we need a bit more depth, to give us more options in and out of possession. Interesting point on Casemiro, Eriksen and Bruno all being able to carry the ball from deep. Hopefully we can add more players with that skill set.
Definitely need more depth, but it's about building the foundations this season. Organising the squad, implementing a new vision not only on the pitch, but across the entire club. Which is something it's probably lacked since Ferguson
hi reese idk why but this never popped up in my subscriptions. im very happy to be told ive got this wrong but I'm not convinced united are building up how you've presented it. to my mind weve been using this 3-1-6 volpiana variation against front 3's and front 2's since as far back as Southampton. its worth noting as well that varane isnt the greatest on the ball and a feature against 1414 midblocks is varane charging up the pitch on the right hand side to engage the block as he cant seem to break lines with any consistency esp when u contrast him to that wizard martinez. bruno very rarely drops into that space on the right hand side as we go super compact on the left about 90% of the time which may explain antony's lack of influencing games. very happy to be told im massively wrong etc as being incorrect is a learning opportunity plus im hugely excited to hear more about the box rest defence in the future.
Hi Vaughn, how are you? Unfortunately I’m not a Man Utd fan! So I only had few games to use for analysis and reference, so you may have noticed things across a bigger volume of games. I’ll definitely take a look out for what you’ve pointed out!
