Cupcake hints…use a larger size ‘cookie scoop’ to help make them the same size…cover your waiting batter with a sheet of plastic wrap and/or a kitchen towel so the batter stays the same consistency for each batch…don’t be afraid to take them out of the oven as soon as the toothpick comes out clean (even if the tops are still shiny) because they will continue to cook a bit as they rest in the pan (this goes for brownies too)…finally, add your sprinkles as you frost them and they will stick better for you. I love spending time with you! Thank you for opening your life to all of us!! 💕

This sounds like a cake I used to make as a teen for church bake sales. A trick to make a lot of cupcakes is to bake a sheet cake. Then use a biscuit cutter to cut them out. Then lay them on a cooling rack and poor the icing over them. After they cool put them into cupcake liners, add a swirl of whipped cream or chocolate icing or my favorite chocolate whipped cream with a sprinkle of toffee bits.

Anything from scratch also doesn't have all those preservatives. Especially ones you can't pronounce. I like Josh's thinking. Extra cupcakes? You can freeze them for him. I bit the bullet; I ordered a freeze dryer. Instead of the rolls don't they have a "sheet" now that you could just cut into strips? Not cheating! Was left over from another purpose. Your mom was probably ecstatic having all the grandchildren in her home at 1x. It all came out great Becky! You should be proud of yourself.

You can use the cookie scoops to fill your cupcake papers. I totally agree about the brown sugar and vanilla. When I make chocolate chip cookies, I use brown sugar for both sugars and then a generous pour of vanilla.

I really enjoy your videos, I can't believe how knowledgeable you are at such a young age. I love the 'naturalness' of your posts, you don't bother to cut out the mistakes and that so refreshing to see. We all drop things, spill things etc. I have learnt so much from you, especially about baking in large quantities and also storage and methods of preserving. Last night I watched the video of you and your mum cooking together, it was so lovely. Keep up the good work, it's not easy running a yt channel but it's much appreciated for sure!

Oh Becky look up Nigella Lawton’s Chocolate Christmas Cake , it’s not what you expect and is mostly made in a pan on top of the stove . It comes out and will sink in the middle but when you cut it you get that slurp sound as it’s so moist and makes a fabulous pudding as well if you pop in the microwave . Totally delicious

Btw not trying to be picky or annoying but those drageés are pretty but no one likes them. They are SO hard you feel like you’re gonna break a tooth and they just taste like cornstarch and chemicals.i know you were going with a theme, but even gold dusting or chocolate Jimmies or even a few curls of actual chocolate would class it up without those inedible dragées
And you need to sprinkle your topping right away- if they sit around while you frost a bunch more they start to crust and then sprinkles will not stay.
Everything looked AMAZING at the end!! I am so bad at planning food for showers I never know what to make. It always sounds nice in my head but not practical in application. It looked catered.

I just want to say that I learn so much more than just cooking from your videos. Your humility and ability to bounce back from hiccups in the kitchen is so what I need to see. I'm really a perfectionist and I panic when something doesn't go right. To hear you say "it's ok" and "no big deal" after glass ruined 2 of your dishes I was like, "you know what, it is alright!"
I shy away from A LOT of cooking because I don't want to make messes or make mistakes. Thanks for reminding me that it's okay to do that in the kitchen♡

The cupcakes would be much easier to fill up with one of those cookie scoops you bought, and then you'd be pretty even on how much you put in each. I use one for mine and it the perfect size for cupcakes.

We had a fair weather day today and we couldn't wait to get out and in the yard/garden. Trimmed back some flowers and organized some garden posts and pots. Sanded the egg sign and painted it. Made trip to garden center and got some more seeds. So anxious for spring to be here!

Original blue Dawn is THE BEST pre-treatment for oily/grease based stains! Works really good on HH’s inside collars, too! Plus,!it is chemically similar to Synthrapol a color preserving wash liquid quilters use to set dyes and prevent color bleeds.

Dawn dish soap will get most stains out of clothing. When I notice I spilled something like oil on my clothes, I put some on right away and toss it in the laundry. Then launder like usual.
