- Though a Senate committee approved a bill that would require women to register for the Selective Service, the bill is still far from becoming law. It must still be approved by both chambers of Congress and signed by the president.

IF there is a draft, historically, the names are picked anonymously, as far as I know. I'm not sure why you are even asking that question because Selective Service has been law for decades. Maybe you just were not aware of that and should research it.
Does it matter how people get rich to you? Some of them offered you a job out of poverty and the same opportunity they had. If you want to put them in one big evil bucket,---enjoy your poverty. The moral way to get rich is with real free enterprise, (hard to find today as communism has taken over our free enterprise), that you and I are suppose to be able to compete in.

Eh... all they have done is raise the age limit from 25 to 26 for the draft pool. Selective Service registration has been law for decades, so registering for the draft is NOT anything new. However, judging from the comments I've seen on the news videos about the age limit change, I am guessing there are a bunch of Gen Z'ers who have been totally oblivious to the Selective Service requirement. This particular video was about some idea that some in congress have about having females also register for Selective Service. I wouldn't worry too much about it... I don't think conservatives like the idea of women being required to serve.
Less families? Only about 20% of the kids in our local rural Michigan schools come from whole families. That destruction is almost complete now.

The thing about it, the people who complain about it loudest have not spent one moment in the military in any capacity. There have been women in the military for many decades and now, ALL jobs are open to anyone ***if they qualify***** for the job. My career field, 70% washout rate but there were plenty of women then and even more now doing that job. All these low information FOX News viewers think that the military consists ONLY OF COMBAT rolls which is wrong. Most military jobs are non combat support rolls. Most of these morons think that everyone lives in open bay barracks etc. So out of touch these people are. The typical FOX News viewer is old, T-2 diabetic, obese, uneducated, weak, stupid and everything the military rejects.
Selective Service registration is unconstitutional and violates the principle of gender equality, discriminating against men. Either everyone should be required to register and serve, or no one should. I strongly advocate for the abolition of mandatory registration!

Ironically, I support this measure. If women want to talk loads of crap about being equal and not needing men, then the draft should include women. You want equality, then you need to take everything that comes with it. No refunds.
The draft ended in 1973! Selective service just registers for a potential draft and frankly, I feel that there should be a small draft, maybe 30,000 across all the branches on a yearly basis. We need to spread the obligation across all socioeconomic areas, and include women in registering and draft when they turn 18 or get rid of selective service. It is unfortunate that FOX news lies and gaslights on this and many other subjects. Women serve in the military currently in case you missed it.

I disagree, there shouldn’t be a draft at all. No one should be forced to give away their life to fight in war, regardless of gender.
Also, women speaking of wanting equality is not crap. Without women voicing their opinions loudly, we wouldn’t have the rights we have today. I’m thankful for the women who rubbed men the wrong way with their ‘crap’. We will keep being vocal too. you may not see a need for change, because you don’t live in my shoes, but there’s a reason why so many women still advocate for equal rights.
Advocating for ourselves doesn't mean that we see men as lesser. I think we need men just as much as men need women. It is wrong that men are faced with the fear that they may be forced into war. If you don't want a draft, then make your voice loud about that.
Look up who was leading anti-draft protests during the Vietnam war. Many women were organizing causes to help men afford their right to life (Gwendolyn Zoharah Simmons).

About 12 years ago, I ran into a younger couple who had an obama sticker on their car and I told them what a mistake that is. She told me, "The was inappropriate", as they walked to their car with their 8 year old daughter. If there is to be equal rights it is imperative that women register for draft otherwise your lying to everybody and it's NOT EQUAL AND SHOULDN'T BE EXPRESSED AS THAT!
Women can serve but just shouldn’t be placed in positions they may not be capable of handling. It depends on the woman too, because some are extremely capable of anything and everything. The problem with the draft is that since it’s no longer voluntary, a broader mix of people are brought in, and some may not be as equipped for the job, same is true with the men. We’re a more diverse society than we’ve ever been, so a draft wouldn’t yield the kind of homogeneous results it once did.
It is about combat, a emergancy response would only result to combat. Only us men should have that obligation to die for our country in service. Bring the draft back only to men if drafting women isnt enough to prove a point thag femisnim with equal rights shouldnt be equalized

From all the comments I have read seems there are enough who support that a draft isn’t needed. It’s easy to say you support this until it comes to drafting your children.
