This is Rich Mullins' O Come All Ye Faithful, not the Christmas carol of the same name. I heard Rich Mullins sing this back in the 1970s.
I have loved this one from the second i put the CD in the player, I can't put my finger on exactly what... i like the poetry and the Scripture. And Rich's very realness. Amy Grant said something about Rich giving away his best stuff (and now I am wondering if she said that or someone else, it is late lol) - anyway, he wrote this but was it Debby Boone who recorded it? What a gift to get to have Rich himself singing it. I'd love to sing it in church but it's been 20 yrs since I sang in public.

i am trying to find something Rich did that i didn't like. even the fact that he died shortly before he was supposed to join the corrupted catholic church is a miracle of God's grace.. hope to jam with you in heaven, brother. thank you for all you left behind
