I knew people on the internet were stubborn. And personally, I already knew they wouldn't immediately reconsider how they feel on all this. But I never once expected they'd go out of their way to IGNORE new evidence. Twitter is shallow, but as someone who hates it, even I didn't expect it to be this shallow. Love or hate Dream, it's a fact that he brought more to the table than his detractors did. And it's fine if someone doesn't buy anything he says, but like, I thought that they'd at least LISTEN before throwing it all out of the window. But you can tell that literally none of them have watched the actual video. I even had a personal friend who was watching it all unfold on Twitter, and without watching the video at hand, he began to mirror all of the talking points these people have been saying to discredit Dream. And honestly, they don't even have to be this way. I'm sure there's some part of Dream's video that can easily be called into question, but none of them will actually do it because none of them have actually watched the goddamn video. I couldn't imagine being this stubborn and disingenuous. Maybe if these people took a neutral stance from the beginning, they wouldn't feel the need to stand on a hill not worth dying on.
you're so right about the shallow part. The same crowd that complains about men's mental health and claims that "false allegations of rape are very common" are the ones who hate him the most. Shows how superficial the cause they pretend to care about is. Like this guy has (very obviously) fake allegations against him but they choose to believe them just because they don't like him😭😭 and then will turn around and give the benefit of the doubt to actual predators. Like come on.
Even if you would dismiss some of the evidence he provides(witness testimonies) he still gave more than enough proof to prove all of those accusations wrong. For example his statement about no legal report ever being written against him
@@arikrex9978 Genuinely, I learned about his response through an 8 minute summary of the entire video, and it STILL disproved just about everything against him, despite being EIGHT MINUTES of the total hour and 20-something minutes.
More people really need to see this video. I don't like Dream, I'm definetely not a fan of his, but this is ridiculous. Everything people say his "crazy stans" do, eg. doxxing, ignoring information, etc, in reality, are what his haters are doing.
@@JustthesameJnonly one speed run was fake, which isn't even on his channel. his manhunt videos are legit, you can see the analysis on his second channel as well and decide for yourself
“They are bullies masquerading as advocates for justice” is probably the best way to sum up the entire internet’s hate campaign against Dream for the last 2-3 years
@@RozeLightTwitter was bad, but at the same time commentary channels seem to accept their views of Dream and make videos basically spreading misinformation about him, so they aren’t any better. At least EntLaiser apologized and even put a disclaimer on his past video on Dream to not accept it anymore lol
Twitter has been doing this for the last decade, we've given so much power to teenagers who know nothing about the world beyond their screens, and now nobody can agree on anything, and everybody thinks everybody is stupid and racist and misogynistic, and racist, and homophobic.
@@Paulie_Geelie How do I not get called a dream stand everytime I side with him. it's because im his biggest fan, i don't even like watching him that much. I just side with the victim because it's the right thing to do
Most of twitter users are double down or die. They will choose a hill, and remain on it regardless of what that hill might actually contain. There is no care for victims, all there is is a need to find anything to justify their hate for an individual. Gumball's voice actor situation shows this perfectly, anyone with a single braincell can see how fucked up nicolas is but that was completely disregarded and ignored, and why that is? Because the "opponent" was dream. Absolutely ridiculous.
I'm so glad this is all over. I'm so glad I don't have to defend dream anymore as it seems more people are on his side than before. I only chose to defend him because I believe in the idea, innocent until proven guilty. I honestly thought this guy was innocent, and I absolutely loved his response, I hope his video can be a lesson to those who are easily deceived by things they see online and actually start developing some critical thinking.
@@UCezI1mEFSJR_GHO4Z7bs8YAdude yeah, when the drama regarding him and gumball came out I thought "surely this will be his big break, surely people won't support a psychopathic narcissist who fucking physically assaulted him, surely" people are genuinely insane nowadays
I had a feeling the accusations of dream were kinda bullshit from the very start because the person that said they talked to dream when they were still a minor was the same one from a year ago and nothing happened then but this time a whole incident happens like huh? why did you wait so long to tell us this?
This is the most human yet logical take I’ve seen to this whole situation. At some point It’s really not just about whether you like or dislike a creator… It’s about seeing what’s wrong with this culture that Twitter has manifested and why you shouldn’t be a part of it.
as a dream fan who had hella bad year on the internet - thank you. its such a relief to see that people are willing to take a step back to look at the situation and admit that dreams hate is way out of a proportion
right? im a fan and im shook that there are now actually people saying HES in the right, this is genuiney the first time ever ive seen so many people be on his side
@@possieMCas Proverbs 15:1 says, ‘a soft word turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger’. In the past (as far as I remember), dream didn’t deal too great with the allegations, but in this video he dealt with them very calmly. I essentially stopped watching dream because I wasn’t sure what to think, but now that it’s been cleared up, I feel like I can watch without any guilt.
As someone who has went through false allegations myself, I know EXACTLY how this feels like. It's horrendous to be treated like an outcast and to be put at blame. I had my ex which pressured me to be in a relationship with her, where she would downright abuse me in such horrible ways, but yet, after she broke off, she tried passing me as some vile evil and twisted "pedophile", despite my neuropsychologist even confirming I wasn't. Things got really bad, even recently with events still ongoing. It goes to show people refuse to hear all sides of stories, they just wanna make themselves popular, they want to ostracize others, it is horrible, but unfortunately true. That is why I'm not very judgmental on others. Great video, by the way. You earned a new subscriber.
I have been through assault allegations in middle school as well and while it did not spread far and was forgotten about, it still made me so angry that people could be so casually cruel and rude so I know what you have been through so I hope you have a bright future and an even brighter future in the after life my brother, ya got yourself a sub
it's very sad that the videos on dream's response that continue to spread misinformation and slander his name are the one's getting the most views while the ones like yours which are logical and calling out the real problems are sitting at 350 views(as of commenting). People listen to what they want to hear. I agree with you that the state of twitter right now is deeply disturbing, and i worry that it will only get worse from here.
Bro sticked to his promise and made it through the REAL LIFE MANHUNT. The internet left him at half a heart mental damage but as always, he pulled the most mind exploding clutch ever and won the game. The video was a slap across the entire internet's face, a marvelous counter attack packed through out time.
yea he brought the internet into the light with his response i see, i dont watch dream anymore since the dream smp ended but i was always a fan, idk what happened rly, but still seeing another victim of meme culture with those stupid teath bringing emoji cut outs is just sad
i never thought i would see the day where i form an alliance with dream stans to take out the greater evil, this reminds me of sonic adventure 2 where sonic must team up with eggman to destroy the biolizard
I was a dream hater before I watched his video. I blindly believed all the bs surrounding his name. I've been off twitter for about a year now and its the best decision I've made. its such a toxic environment that blinded me to so much. Dream is literally a normal average guy. I feel ashamed for ever participating in tarnishing his image because like Dream said in his video, it causes REAL victims to suffer and REAL predators to go unnoticed.
respect you for being one of the few hate train members to actually be open and hear him out, unlike everyone else who just says shit like "I AINT READIN ALLAT" and keeps hating
To add onto putting yourself in his shoes. I feel it never sat right to be that people took the old image of him; and consistently fat shamed him. Only for him to finally reveal his face, and the louder voices saying how ugly he was and to put the mask back on. Overcoming that leap in life and changing how you look for the better for your own self positivity, only for people to make you out to be disgusting looking is awful.
about a year ago, i was sort of into the dream fandom, and despite not being in it now, i made friends with some of the most caring, sweet and kind people. i think the "dream stans are crazy" can be basically applied to any fandom if you look close enough, but obviously dream stans are the only ones people talk about is because dream is the punching bag of the internet
Fr. Like of course there were and are toxic fans, but you can look at ANY fandom and find the same level of crazy. But it takes five seconds to realize that the dream “stans” stand out because the fanbase was so massive during the pandemic when everyone was chronically online and then relentlessly harassed day in and day out.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this, majority of fandoms if you looked at, are practically the same as what people say dream stans are. Thinking about it now Creepypasta was and still is similar to dream's fandom. People cosplaying, making small edits with dumb songs in the background, a lot of other things that people do to show that they like this fandom, just stupid crap. I just think that people don't personally like the guy, and seeing how his fans are acting makes it seem like his fandom is the only ones doing this. When in reality all fandoms do the same damn thing!!!
I've always thought this. People go on and on about how "parasocial" dream is with his audience but honestly, what the heck does that even mean? Isn't that like, every streamer ever? How are you defining it in a way that makes him so much different from everyone else?
Thank you soo much for making this video. As someone who likes Dream (but not in an obsessive way💀) I was so stressed about this whole situation, even to the point I was afraid to even interact with any Dream content on any platform, this was a MASSIVE breath of fresh air! I'm glad that at least some people are realising that their former statements about Dream were at most misinformed. I can finally enjoy cringe minecraft man in peace lol.
Exactly. I used to be a huge fan of his, down to buying merch that included the coins, but it died down a couple years ago. It’s so nice seeing someone addressing it in a more factual manner while looking at why people are going at him, despite having such a well made response.
3:12 Thank you for this take on "Dream Stans" btw. Its a lot more fair than most of the other takes I've seen. While there are a fair share of teens, a lot of my online friends who are fans of Dream and myself are full adults. We just exist in our little corner and block people being toxic, make fanart, talk about streams and videos and events and stuff. I even met up with some of them when we went to one of Dream's concerts! I've shown Dream manhunt videos to friends, people I'm dating and my younger siblings. I remember when the finale Manhunt came out, I was babysitting my younger siblings and all of us watched the video together after dinner. It's just really good minecraft content. Also while I've known in the back of my mind that most of the people on twitter are just insanely obsessed balls of hatred, it is very nice to see that brought to light for the entire internet to see.
It's a valid take. People hate Dream stans but the most they do is be cringe and annoying online. That's it. His haters on the other hand are so obsessed with him that they harass him, stalk him and send SWAT to his house.
What happened to innocent until proven guilty. I just had my English exam over the Crucible by Arthur Miller and I am seeing so many parallels between twitter today and the witch hunts happening back in the 1700’s
There needs to be some sort of consequence given to these sort of people, not by Twitter execs exclusively but also by the law itself. Twitter needs help, Jesus Christ
Subscribed, glad to see someone actually approaching this in a comprehensive way and not trying to placate the braindead twitter mob. Hope this gets you many more subs
I genuinely hope Dream and his family are doing well. The constant swatting and doxxing is no joke. No one should have to live in fear at all. Dreams response video was really good. Cleared up so much information and talked about his life to the internet. Just sucks that twitter has to be so toxic.
This is the first video i watched on dreams new video, and i am so glad i did. I was scared that nobody would listen to what he had to say, but im glad that someone did :)
Bro I have such an insane amount of respect for you. It is NOT easy to say “My last video on dream was wrong and filled with misinformation” and such. You’re an incredible inspiration. Keep owning up to your doings. You’re amazing.
Finally, a person who can decently give their best and rational thought on this hell hole of drama in a response video without adding more fkng gasoline to the inferno of toxicity that I see spawning in the comments section on almost every other video I've seen on this topic. God, why cant people just let people breathe on these damn apps. What surprises me the most is how relatively calm Dream was in his own video and yet there are people in the comments literally saying they want to hate him because it's satisfying. Maybe those people do not desire peace in their lives or in the lives of others. Twitter is a part of the hell on earth as far as i'm concerned. Thank you for the tone and calmness of your video.
Dream really lives rent-free in the mind of his haters. Like imagine that the people who hate you are more obsessed with you than your so called "stans".
i know that if they watched the video they’d have absolutely no way to refute and have to admit they were wrong, so they just don’t watch the video and keep spreading the same claims
really good video. as a fan of dream's who has been on the other side of things completely aware of just how misinformed the general public was about him, it's been insanity inducing. i'm really glad to see that his video was able to get quite a few people to see the truth, but i unfortunately knew twitter would probably be a lost cause no matter what. so many of these people just want the joke to keep going. other people have centered so much of their personality and self-righteousness around hating him for over a year now that they literally cannot get themselves to admit that they were wrong because what does that say about THEM? so they double-down and then they triple-down, even though it becomes clearer and clearer that they care very little about actual victims in the process. it's awful. i just hope that more videos like this get made to help the tides turn more over time.
As a fan it's really made me more skeptical of things I read on the internet as a whole. Things said about rando internet celebs that I would have just heard and accepted before - now I question those things before I just straight up believe them. It's a good lesson to learn, but I wish it didn't take so many death threats.
This was one of the best videos I have seen about Dream, because it was made in an intent to spread the truth and change the perspective of some people, instead of simply make views regardless of ther views on Dream, and it made me see meme culture differently, I am and always have been a fan of Dream, but I supported and laughed at PNG-tubers being bullied on UA-cam, but while most people will agree they are more cringey than Dream (well every rational person will) this was still not acceptable, yes they wanted to make money in a cheap way, and yes they were very cringe, but these are inoccent people, which were not just insulted online, but harrased in real-life too, and it's because twiitter, and to some extent, meme culture.
As someone who's spent a LOT of time around Dream stans: they aren't nearly as bad as the internet makes them out to be. Yeah, they suck and do weird stuff and start fights but SO DOES EVERY OTHER FANDOM. They're just as "bad" as any other internet fandom and have their faults but they way they've been weirdly demonized into somehow being worse than every other fandom on the planet is just gross. The biggest controversies in the fandom recently have been over large accounts being extremely parasocial towards Dream - there was even a recent situation back in late October where a bunch of large accounts had been exposed for being huge bullies to the rest of the community, and one of those large accounts took it upon themself to REACH OUT TO DREAM HIMSELF AND GET HIM INVOLVED IN FAN DRAMA which was a HUGE breach of boundaries. Fortunately the majority of the community completely clowned on them and they they got removed from any positions of fan power that they were a part of. (Also in case you were wondering a lot of Dream stans are actually between the ages of 18-28ish, at least in my experience they're mostly around his age. Which makes the above paragraph infinitely funnier because it means a bunch of adults were sending death threats to one another one another over minecraft youtuber drama.) A lot of dream stan twitter puts a ton of weight into Dream, getting noticed by him, getting his attention, treating people who he follows like Gods, etc etc and it wasn't until recently (October) when they started waking up to the fact that behavior was unhealthy, Dream ISN'T their friend, and large accounts aren't always right just by the fact they're large accounts. I think Dream revealing that he doesn't run his own fanart account, that he doesn't like serious shipping, and reiterating that he and George aren't dating helps a lot too, as shipping discourse was one of the biggest things tearing the community apart. Naturally there are still weirdos who think he and George are married or whatever but they're slowly becoming the minority in the community. At the end of the day I think Dream's video was just as beneficial to stans as it was to his haters - the reason dream stans are *Like That* is because the internet hates them and they feel the need to be hostile in order to defend themselves, but with the tides turning in Dream's favor it relieves some of the pressure on them and allows everyone to CALM DOWN. Anyways lovely video I really appreciated it and I hope you have a wonderful day
Ngl I feel like someone needs to say this shit about Twitter. I just didn’t expect that him being the punching bag being able to call out the hypocrisy Twitter has. So yeah nice job Dream and hoping for your improvement!
Whats forever going to baffle me is just how supportive of gumball people were in the uber ride video. Like yeah there were the accusations of dream being a pedophile that he hadn't even talked about but gumball was acting like a literal spoiled child.
can2 is no different from a child in both personality and actions, even demanding a solo with Dream and threatening to "take Dream back to heaven" WTF😂☠️?????
I saw SO MANY comments on dreams video just harassing him all over again, not caring- and I was so heated. It’s so sad because these people are so prideful and will rarely ever change. :( I hope these monsters get better.
One thing that I felt really showed how well Dream handled the grooming allegations was him saying “you’re hurting real victims,” and he’s right. I usually side with the victim and was trying to put my bias aside because I genuinely enjoy Dream’s content and am a fan of his, so hearing him address it in the way he did while acknowledging actual victims and the ramifications of false allegations was one of the things that helped me to side with him, because he’s right. This DOES make it harder for victims to come forward, because he’s innocent and some people hate him enough to do this. These allegations will always haunt him, as you said, because people choose to twist the truth because he’s Dream. This will be remembered, and things like this is why some don’t get justice for one of the most traumatic experiences a person can go through. It’s because people can throw these allegations around so loosely and not realize the gravity of what they’re lying about, and it will always make it harder for actual victims. Actions have consequences, and people don’t realize the consequences can be more devastating than what they thought they’d be.
"They are bullies masquerading as advocates for justice." Is something that needs to be pointed out more. These people are hypocrites, freaks, and just some of the worst people you can meet yet it is *them* time and time again who use the pretext of 'justice' as an excuse to harass and abuse others because in truth they don't care about justice they want an excuse to be a horrible human being. Thank you for saying this.
the fact that someone called his grandma to scam her, just because they don’t like dream… that’s vile. no matter how you feel about dream, don’t bring an innocent, elderly woman into this, that’s just fucking wrong
Good commentary video. You and AugustTheDuck described Dream's response prefectly. Twitter users will go out of their way everyday to make someone as miserable as possible just because they dislike them. Really glad Dream debunked all the ridiculous allegations in one video and didn't argue with his haters on Twitter to worsen the situation further. Even though Dream's haters will continue slandering him, I hope Dream will take a break off Twitter for his mental health.
I have never enjoyed Dream's videos. I was kept up with the "drama" happening on twitter and was excited to see him either fail miserably at proving his innocence or successfully shut it down completely. His response was near to perfect. People are upset that he put the allegations mid way through the video, but I fully believe that if he just addressed the allegations and not everything else that I wouldn't have believed him. He brought up every issue that has surfaced over the past couple years and did it wonderfully.
i really appreciate talking about the teenage stans thing, a lot of how the hate goes down is literally just people bullying teenagers for "being cringey" even though being a teenager is SUPPOSED to be silly and cringe
the things the haters do to just make Dream look bad is crazy. I'm not a fan of Dream anymore(I just stopped watching him), but the way they just hate him already without even watching his full response. I agree on the Dream stan thing, they think the Dream stans are crazy but they don't understand the meaning of the stans to Dream. Dream literally receives hate EVERYDAY, and I'm actually surprised he's still mentally and physically stable.(I think)
Well to be fair.... he currently still is.... my god i would've succumb to my depression and i wouldn't be surprised if i thought about suicide more than once.
It's funny because I've read a fair few comments on videos by Dream and people talking by Dream and I've seen maybe one or two stans, as opposed to dozens and dozens of people hating with no justification. I'm glad you looked at this rationally. Thank you
Unfortunately people had an insane amount of hatred for him beforehand too, some of the top trends immediately after were ‘PUT THE MASK BACK ON’ and ‘HE’S UGLY’ with tens of thousands of posts insulting every inch of his appearance, doxxing him, threatening to kill him, and feeling so morally superior about hating the ‘right’ person. It’s crazy to watch, can’t imagine being in his shoes
I watched like 98% of Dream's video, just skipping a few seconds here and there, and I honestly think it's the best response he could possibly give in this scenario I've also never used Twitter/X for this exact reason
Dream had the best apology and talk to internet being his anti is literally to this point not wanting to watch the video. And all the proof of him being bad being fake Is it enough to destroy someone’s whole life without even wanting to learn about them damn, maybe he’s not wrong yall are.
Funnily enough, the burner account watched the video, and said that they weren't sure about the reliability of their accusations. They then deleted their account.
I watched Dreams response video, every second, from beginning to end. He: - Thoroughly debunked all three of his major grooming allegations - Disproved he was posting thirst traps to a younger audience - Showed his demographic was 18-24 (yes those statistics are unreliable but you cant just say "but everyone knows-" because not everyone does) - Admitted that before his face reveal he didn't understand parasocial relationships, but became more aware and avoided them more afterwards - Admitted that, while not intentional, he did cheat his speedruns - Admitted that his response to "housing an abuser" was emotionally charged and that he regrets his actions Now I'm not a dream stan, and while I am subscribed and like his content, I don't engage with that community. But the man dotted every i and crossed every t, and showed at WORST that he was guilty of being a bit cringe. And yet people still go after him. It's fucking insane. I watched a few response videos, at least what I could find, and the main criticism is that "he still fostered parasocial relationships". But he literally addressing that, saying that once he understood the impact of them he took steps to move away from them.
As a person that has watched most of his videos, his entire The Truth video, and still subscribed to him, I am still faithful to Dream, because he was the one that got me into minecraft, and made me love it.
First the kwite situation and now this. I swear to heck what is wrong with people. I’d honestly clip moments from this vid and upload them on a variety of platforms to spread the word, since this was such a good view on the situation
I honestly completely agree with every word you have said with this video, and I have come to the same conclusion. Thank you for putting them into words!
Ayo get this man to the trending tab! I'm gonna spam this video all along Twitter. Thank you for this man I feel so bad for dream and you put my emotions in A video. You dropped this btw 👑.
i feel like most dream haters: 1. feed off of hate and/or drama 2. just want to see someone they find cringe go down 3. dont like to admit when theyre wrong 4. dont care about real victims 5. want to pin the blame of being crazy on people who like dream seeing people outright go to twitter and lie about what dream said was bad enough, but seeing people with the attention span of a goldfish take the word of someone whos probably known for hating dream instead of watching his video just really, really let me know the internet is going to shit. i was born in the 2000s, so ive had the internet all my life. my mom always tells me about a time when none of this shit happened, and when people just got along. i always wonder where it went wrong. i feel like people thrive on negativity now just to be able to tell themselves their shitty lives arent so bad. i used to be like that too, but i realized that feeding off of negativity is just a coping mechanism for those who are too lazy, or just dont care, to try to make their lives better. the age of the internet has brought a downfall to genuine human emotion and connection. dont take it like im saying "the internet is the devils work", or something like that. im just saying that when people can hide behind a screen, and like to create drama to make their lives less empty, then its bound to happen. trust me, life sucks sometimes. but thats no excuse to try to make other people feel miserable so that your life doesnt seem so bad. i know im ranting, but i just think that this whole situation embodies what im saying perfectly. if you read my entire rant, i hope you have a great day, where ever you are, whoever you are, and ill see you all next time! (yes, that was papa jakes old outro. it was kind of cringe, but its nostalgic to me lol. i think i messed it up too).
Honestly thank you for this Just being a casual fan of dream on the internet during the last year has been hell on earth i cant even imagine how it felt for him. I know that i couldn't hande that. People who did that to him couldn't either. People love witchhunts and they love the feeling of "delivering justice" no matter the methods
“Don’t want to support a groomer” the monetization is literally going to charity, as said at the BEGINNING of the video. They are just lazy and have too short of attention spans
I can imagine that if it remained monetized, more people would start talking about how he made the video only for the views, but if he demonitized it he would be harrassed for being a whiny baby and just wanting attention instead. It is crazy how far these double standards can go. The hypocrisy is crazy too, because all the people who are making a name for themselves posting these lies are getting money from it, which I can also imagine is part of their motivation. Like, millions of views on unidentified moaning targeted at someone the twitter users seem to be hating is stupid.
I could say a lot more than I’m going to. Dream, I’m so sorry for you, I was fooled by the internet but now I believe you. I feel sorry for you. But I’m so glad that through all this you’ve kept on going because there are 31M people out there who love your content ❤
I was honestly just like the people in this video, but after watching the WHOLE thing it really turned things around for me. I really learned a lot after this experience.
holy shit war is over in my almost exactly 3 years of being a dream stan, ive seen the reason people hate on us change so much. ive seen it morph and transform before my eyes to the point where the reason we're getting hate and the severity of it are so far removed from the original reason reason we were hated in the first place, a stupid one at that, being cringy, and its severity. in 2021, the most hate a dream fan would get would be getting called a dream stan (back when that term still had negative connotation to the people in the fandom) and being told youre cringe, and that sucked too but it was so tame. in 2023, ive seen people on my tl on twitter get death and rape threats, get doxxed, have dozens of accounts flooding to their completely unrelated tweet saying something positive about dream telling them things like "youre too old for him" and "dickrider" and "hes a groomer" its fucking disgusting how far people will go to hate on someone they dislike, and to think this all started from a community that is sort of cringy. people already disliked dream and his stans before the speedrunning drama and then he was disliked even more, then the leaked picture happened and people had a new thing to make fun of, then the donating to charity drama and the mask music video and the kkk edit from 2015 and even more stuff i cant even remember that made people just really hate dream and his fans, though if they didnt already have a bias theyd probably see how unserious most of these dramas were. then the fake grooming allegations, an amalgamation of all the hate and peer pressure and attention seeking of twitter users that hated dream. im glad the allegations being disproven was the final nail in the coffin to make people realize dream did not deserve this and neither did his stans, yet i still feel the urge to say i told you so. cause we tried telling all of you so many times and nobody was listening. its so freeing to finally have people realize something you stood by in spite of everything is the correct thing to support. a lot of people are saying this feels like a weight lifted off their shoulders, and it really does. i havent felt this proud to have always stood with dream since 2021. we told you so lmao
It really is such an "I told you so" moment but honestly I think your comment is literally the first time I've actually seen it. All of us were just so relieved that instead of "I told you so"s it's been "oh thank God we're going to stop getting death threats yay!"
@@silverstring9928 it really is sort of insane how instead of doing what basically every human does when they're right, feel proud, we felt relieved that the hate was finally over. most of us completely forgot about what youre supposed to feel when youre right about something and it speaks volumes about how we were treated.
Even if I dont really like Dreams content, I completely agree, Dream make best response he can, saying everything, most people on twitter dont even watched his video Just come on it and disliked, I dont say that everyone should Watch his video, But if u want argue about dream drama you should Look At two sides of conflict, #savedream
@@anniefano7 you don't have to put tw on it cuz I'm more than capable enough to handle hearing about any news anyone throws at me, but thanks for catching me up
You couldn't have talked better, it's my first time in your channel and when I clicked on the video, I genuinely thought it would be like the videos you described but no, I was wrong. It was just talking the truth and most importantly, could feel empathy. I appreciate every single word of yours, thank you in advance. You gained a subscriber tho; not because you said things I want to hear, but because of the vision you have.
I really appreciate this video. I love that you are not below admitting own mistakes, like much of the internet, and actually look at the arguments, evidence and points made instead of dodging any decent arguments by responding with toxicity and disinformation. It makes your message much more reliable. Thanks for having rational thoughts fellow internet person.
Oh my god I didn't even know about that with Illumina, I loved that guy before...Damn that's tough. But it really goes to show: Everyone is obsessed with Dream, but there are content creators around him getting outed-for real-and they don't care.
People cant change their minds because they cant not be right they have altered their opinion towards hating someone and this goes for anyone so much that they always have to be right and if even given the perfect amount of information to make them wrong they just either scream, disapprove, or go as far as to harm people because of it. Anything to just ruin a person.
Props to making an honest reaction to his response video cause when I hopped on twitter after watching it I couldn’t believe what some of the people were saying on there
Thank you for having a respectful, well-thought-out take on a situation involving actual human beings. Subscribed. I watched Dream's response video myself, wrote three pages of notes about his evidence, and came to the conclusion I believed him. Then I logged onto the hellscape that is Twitter, expecting to find respectful discourse about his video (that was my first mistake). Instead, there were walls of hate, gross memes and death threats. It's like they don't realise they can dislike someone's personality *without* also believing every negative rumour about them is 100% true. Barely any of these dicks even *considered* actually watching his response. This is like what happened with Kwite, but horrifically worse. Do people not learn from their past mistakes? What's the point of hating on someone if you don't give a shit about the validity of the evidence, anyway? Among the walls of hate made by people who refused to admit they could be wrong, there were some more considerate people sharing links to videos like yours and calmly asking others to reconsider their opinions. At least there's that.
"People see what they want ro see, people listen what they want to listen." I read this back in the days when I was new to Justin Bieber. I always disliked him cuz I blindly followed the hate train and misconceptions. After I opened my god damn eyes, I saw the truth. And yeah.. it's history just repeating itself. Not surprised.
I always say this and I still stand by it, you CANNOT have an opinion if you refuse to listen to both sides of the story. This is esp true with the haters on twt
Honestly, I feel so bad for dream even though I don’t like his content he doesn’t deserve this amount of hate.. and he deserves way better I thought his fans were bad. His haters are way worse…What’s happened to our humanity? what happened to our morals? What happened to our level of sympathy and empathy? it’s like nonexistent I hate people sometimes and I hate living in this world sometimes.. the length these people will do to ruin Somebody’s life is just pure evil just because they deemed him as cringe who is really the bad people here?
bro u're legit based, u admit to your mistakes and grow as a person AND content creator. Please continue searching for truth and sharing it with us, it is hard to find a reliable information source these days
Dream could tweet "I hate hitler" right now and a 40k like meme QRT would instantly materialize reading "OH, THAT'S DREAM ATTACKING A SUICIDE VICTIM"
Or bring back the edits he made back when he was 14 years old.
or edit him sayin "love" instead of hate
Nah fr
Or they'll say he's lying
They would say some strawman shit like "Oh, you hate Hitler? That must mean you love Stalin!"
This. This is what frustrates me the most about all this.
Basically it's called twitter, no one listens on that platform
you're so right about the shallow part.
Considering after he face revealed how people started allegations randomly it kinda shows
yeah exactly, i've never been a fan of dream but the haters are really overreacting and trying to bring him into the mud cause they're pathetic

That's it.

What surprises me the most is how relatively calm Dream was in his own video and yet there are people in the comments literally saying they want to hate him because it's satisfying. Maybe those people do not desire peace in their lives or in the lives of others.
Twitter is a part of the hell on earth as far as i'm concerned.

You're probably new to the real world lol, these situations have been happening since humans started to roam the earth.
really good video. as a fan of dream's who has been on the other side of things completely aware of just how misinformed the general public was about him, it's been insanity inducing. i'm really glad to see that his video was able to get quite a few people to see the truth, but i unfortunately knew twitter would probably be a lost cause no matter what. so many of these people just want the joke to keep going. other people have centered so much of their personality and self-righteousness around hating him for over a year now that they literally cannot get themselves to admit that they were wrong because what does that say about THEM? so they double-down and then they triple-down, even though it becomes clearer and clearer that they care very little about actual victims in the process. it's awful. i just hope that more videos like this get made to help the tides turn more over time.
bro fr like almost all of this info was common knowledge to fans but no we're the insane ones for defending him all along
Which makes the above paragraph infinitely funnier because it means a bunch of adults were sending death threats to one another one another over minecraft youtuber drama.)
A lot of dream stan twitter puts a ton of weight into Dream, getting noticed by him, getting his attention, treating people who he follows like Gods, etc etc and it wasn't until recently (October) when they started waking up to the fact that behavior was unhealthy, Dream ISN'T their friend, and large accounts aren't always right just by the fact they're large accounts.

Even though Dream's haters will continue slandering him, I hope Dream will take a break off Twitter for his mental health.
Twitter was changed to X, but that didn't change the people
I have never enjoyed Dream's videos.

Funnily enough, the burner account watched the video, and said that they weren't sure about the reliability of their accusations. They then deleted their account.
The thing with Dream is that his Stans ARE crazy but his haters are somehow even WORSE
I watched Dreams response video, every second, from beginning to end. He:
- Thoroughly debunked all three of his major grooming allegations
- Disproved he was posting thirst traps to a younger audience
- Showed his demographic was 18-24 (yes those statistics are unreliable but you cant just say "but everyone knows-" because not everyone does)
- Admitted that before his face reveal he didn't understand parasocial relationships, but became more aware and avoided them more afterwards
- Admitted that, while not intentional, he did cheat his speedruns
- Admitted that his response to "housing an abuser" was emotionally charged and that he regrets his actions
Now I'm not a dream stan, and while I am subscribed and like his content, I don't engage with that community.
Thank you for being kind and and looking into the truth!!!
First the kwite situation and now this. I swear to heck what is wrong with people. I’d honestly clip moments from this vid and upload them on a variety of platforms to spread the word, since this was such a good view on the situation
I guess people have a thing against faceless UA-camrs/streamers who wear green hoodies?
@@jayistootired WAIT I DIDN'T EVEN THINK OF THAT XD
I honestly completely agree with every word you have said with this video, and I have come to the same conclusion. Thank you for putting them into words!
Ayo get this man to the trending tab! I'm gonna spam this video all along Twitter. Thank you for this man I feel so bad for dream and you put my emotions in A video. You dropped this btw 👑.
Please spam this video, I ain’t downloading Twitter lol
You know its fucking bad when people are telling dream to die and rot in hell
I always knew this because the amount of hate Dream was getting for Such little reasons was Insane.
More people need to see this video. Now a days, its easy to construct fraudulent evidence and ruin somebodies lives just because they, "wanted to".
i feel like most dream haters:
1. feed off of hate and/or drama
2. just want to see someone they find cringe go down
3. dont like to admit when theyre wrong
4. dont care about real victims
5. want to pin the blame of being crazy on people who like dream
seeing people outright go to twitter and lie about what dream said was bad enough, but seeing people with the attention span of a goldfish take the word of someone whos probably known for hating dream instead of watching his video just really, really let me know the internet is going to shit. i was born in the 2000s, so ive had the internet all my life. my mom always tells me about a time when none of this shit happened, and when people just got along. i always wonder where it went wrong. i feel like people thrive on negativity now just to be able to tell themselves their shitty lives arent so bad. i used to be like that too, but i realized that feeding off of negativity is just a coping mechanism for those who are too lazy, or just dont care, to try to make their lives better. the age of the internet has brought a downfall to genuine human emotion and connection. dont take it like im saying "the internet is the devils work", or something like that. im just saying that when people can hide behind a screen, and like to create drama to make their lives less empty, then its bound to happen. trust me, life sucks sometimes. but thats no excuse to try to make other people feel miserable so that your life doesnt seem so bad. i know im ranting, but i just think that this whole situation embodies what im saying perfectly. if you read my entire rant, i hope you have a great day, where ever you are, whoever you are, and ill see you all next time! (yes, that was papa jakes old outro. it was kind of cringe, but its nostalgic to me lol. i think i messed it up too).
Honestly thank you for this
Just being a casual fan of dream on the internet during the last year has been hell on earth i cant even imagine how it felt for him.
For real. Twitter is cruel and they dont care, honestly i wish twitter was tooken down

imagine the world where elon musk took down twitter as soon as he bought it
None of this wouldve happen, twitter is like hell
The Bible says "if you hate someone you have committed murder in your heart"
Poor dream. He doesn't deserve this. No one deserves this 😢
I was honestly just like the people in this video, but after watching the WHOLE thing it really turned things around for me. I really learned a lot after this experience.
A year ago, I wouldn't have thought anything in the world would get me to like dream, but here we are.
holy shit war is over
in my almost exactly 3 years of being a dream stan, ive seen the reason people hate on us change so much. ive seen it morph and transform before my eyes to the point where the reason we're getting hate and the severity of it are so far removed from the original reason reason we were hated in the first place, a stupid one at that, being cringy, and its severity.
in 2021, the most hate a dream fan would get would be getting called a dream stan (back when that term still had negative connotation to the people in the fandom) and being told youre cringe, and that sucked too but it was so tame. in 2023, ive seen people on my tl on twitter get death and rape threats, get doxxed, have dozens of accounts flooding to their completely unrelated tweet saying something positive about dream telling them things like "youre too old for him" and "dickrider" and "hes a groomer"
its fucking disgusting how far people will go to hate on someone they dislike, and to think this all started from a community that is sort of cringy. people already disliked dream and his stans before the speedrunning drama and then he was disliked even more, then the leaked picture happened and people had a new thing to make fun of, then the donating to charity drama and the mask music video and the kkk edit from 2015 and even more stuff i cant even remember that made people just really hate dream and his fans, though if they didnt already have a bias theyd probably see how unserious most of these dramas were. then the fake grooming allegations, an amalgamation of all the hate and peer pressure and attention seeking of twitter users that hated dream. im glad the allegations being disproven was the final nail in the coffin to make people realize dream did not deserve this and neither did his stans, yet i still feel the urge to say i told you so. cause we tried telling all of you so many times and nobody was listening. its so freeing to finally have people realize something you stood by in spite of everything is the correct thing to support. a lot of people are saying this feels like a weight lifted off their shoulders, and it really does. i havent felt this proud to have always stood with dream since 2021.
we told you so lmao
It really is such an "I told you so" moment but honestly I think your comment is literally the first time I've actually seen it. All of us were just so relieved that instead of "I told you so"s it's been "oh thank God we're going to stop getting death threats yay!"
@@silverstring9928 it really is sort of insane how instead of doing what basically every human does when they're right, feel proud, we felt relieved that the hate was finally over. most of us completely forgot about what youre supposed to feel when youre right about something and it speaks volumes about how we were treated.
man i didnt like dream but watching his whole apology makes me feel sick with guilt
And this is whats making me question whatever is happening woth Wilbur right now...
This video is very well done. You brought up points I have been trying to express for years. Thank you!
I swear if this is gonna continue this is gonna turn into a Inquisitore3 situation.
What?

i pray for dream, may all this get better for him 🙏
You couldn't have talked better, it's my first time in your channel and when I clicked on the video, I genuinely thought it would be like the videos you described but no, I was wrong.
Twitter users are like a sheep, following the crowd just to ensure they aren't an outcast amongst others.
they're too far gone and have made up their mind about him. no matter how precisely he clears the allegations and accusations they'll not care
People cant change their minds because they cant not be right they have altered their opinion towards hating someone and this goes for anyone so much that they always have to be right and if even given the perfect amount of information to make them wrong they just either scream, disapprove, or go as far as to harm people because of it. Anything to just ruin a person.
Yeah, instead of trying to make things right, they’d rather just be in the right…
Props to making an honest reaction to his response video cause when I hopped on twitter after watching it I couldn’t believe what some of the people were saying on there
Thank you for having a respectful, well-thought-out take on a situation involving actual human beings.
At least there's that.
i’ve been a fan since early 2020 and i’m so greatful for people like you who won’t follow the crowd in this situation for publicity :)
"People see what they want ro see, people listen what they want to listen."
I read this back in the days when I was new to Justin Bieber. I always disliked him cuz I blindly followed the hate train and misconceptions. After I opened my god damn eyes, I saw the truth. And yeah.. it's history just repeating itself. Not surprised.
Goodbye 2023... I will miss you it's now 9:33 PM on new year's eve, Happy new year everybody
We did it again, we poured all our pent up rage on a singular human being.
I think I'm also guilty of this
I always say this and I still stand by it, you CANNOT have an opinion if you refuse to listen to both sides of the story.
