I subscribed. You’re brilliant. Teaching the BIJONG facing instead of facing away. I really like that. You used your left on his right. A correct bong, a correct tan. That’s fantastic. I could tell you were a master anyways. Refreshing to see common sense structure.

So is biu sao a secondary? I myself believe it has 3 main uses offensive, recovery and a ploying hand that can set up other moves depending on range distance.
Thank you again Sifu Sigong great info!

Have you exchanged opinions on historical red boat Wing Chun before 1850's and the knowledge historically documented that wing Chun is Shaolin short strike sticking body art?
With respect to your undisputed contribution to Wing Chun.
But a new era demands from all Wing Chun teachers to base the historical evidence.

Sorry, but if you cant hold your structure from your rear leg... then you do not know how to proper Root with Internal Methods. There is a video of an old WC teacher.... Whom is standing on One leg... on top of a single Mahjong piece... which is placed on top of a Bathroom Scale. A man tries with all of his might, to push the old man off of the scale... and fails to do so. The people watch the scale, as the elderly master is being Pushed... and they see that scales values increasing... Which shows that the horizontal energy... is being routed down into the Scale... due to the Masters Internal Energy Routing Methods.

Im going to add... that you also dont just stand there, allowing a person to be pressing against you like that. Its not realistic to combat at all. If someone is serious about attacking you... you should have already have launched a KICK, LONG before they were in an Arms reach. Its one thing I despise about most WC demonstrations. They dont follow the natural Order of Operations, in how you are supposed to use the system.
If your mass is 100% over your rear leg, that leaves your LEAD leg weightless (It should be as light as a butterfly on a Leaf). This allows you to either Kick the OP as soon as they enter... OR... to use your lead leg, to Deflect the OPs kick-in-progress. If you had any weight over your LEAD leg.. and the OP launched a very fast low kick... you wouldnt be able to deweight in time... before getting your knee / leg kicked. My WC low kicks are fast as the quickest of Jabs... but hit with the power of a Wrecking ball.
Benny... we have met, in our past... as I trained under one of the HFY instructors, in upper NY. I was trying to be as open minded as possible... But every time I mentioned the issue of a Weighted Lead leg... Neither the Instructor, nor You... would give me an Answer. Not a single Blip. Why was this? Is it that you have something to Hide? Or is it that you dont actually know?
Well, one day the Instructor decided to do some Sparring with the students. I used my classic WC LEAD LEG oblique kick, to his knee. I probably only used about 10% on that kick. A mere Fraction of my short range power potentials. Yet even that was too much for him. He stopped, and asked me to go light / easier. I told him, that it WAS Light! ...but that Id reduce it further. I used just enough power, to make him realize... What he seemed not to Believe in. The potential for a Fight Ending, short range, lead leg kick. Maybe its because he never actually trained and mastered, short range power in his kicks. Maybe you, and your methods, are also missing such training. But I had mastered short range power, to Lethal levels... in both my handstrikes, and my kicks... Ages before I joined the HFY School.
I have never been so frustrated in ANY other school, as I was, when I was within that HFY school. From the very start... the instructor spent more time telling Stories, than actually having the class do any physical work. Rather than be lazy like the others in the class... I just worked on various drills, while he was spinning his tales. Eventually, he and the others, recognized their own laziness, compared to how hard I worked... and he started to be more serious, and increased the physical workload. But there was still a lot of open disrespect, that I had to deal with. The teacher would say "I dont know why those other WC schools do it This way" and he would chuckle, with an aura of Superiority. But hey... Since he was Asking the Question... I would then speak up, to explain the details into why these methods were utilized. After a few such explanations, he got ticked off at me, and basically told me not to speak out on these matters... since everyone was there to learn HFY.
Its one thing, if you respectfully challenge others methods, and are willing to discover the reasons... And quite another... if you choose to attack/mock others methods... while choosing to remain willfully ignorant. If you want to challenge someones methods... You have better Expect that if and when someone actually knows what the deal is... that they are actually going to Push Back. And if you Dont know the reasons... yet you have Mocked / Attacked others, despite this lack of knowledge... you are just going end up with EGG all over your face.
I didnt just Learn and Master Wing Chun methods. Ive learned TKD, Muay Thai, and Wushu + Northern Shaolin style kicks. Western Boxing methods. Shaolin style Iron Body conditioning. Some Tai Chi drills, and TC methods. And even did 3 years worth of daily silent mediation sessions, long before I even started learning any Martial Art. In fact, I trained under 3 different WC schools, and ended up learning methods from several different Lineages. Yet the HFY school, and its over-confident + clearly jealous students... all seemed to view and treat me, as if I had never thrown a punch in my life! >_< The truth is... I used to spar heavy contact, almost every Weekend, against fighters of various artforms... for several years, before I had even set foot in that school. I tried to swallow the open disrespect... to try to see if the Art had something of value, to be learned. But eventually, rather than progressing... the material just repeated... and my health started to take a nose dive.. so I decided to call it quits.
I believe there are some things of value to be learned, that have been Lost in other WC lineages. That said, I also believe, that there are Improved WC methods, that are in fact, superior to HFY's methods. But again... its one thing, to be forward about these things... and quite another... to be Secretive, and Selective... or at worst... Willfully Ignorant + having Bad Attitudes.
