there should be a meet up once a year, where we all contribute shell sizes for every skate model is available and try on each shell. An event like this would save a ton of money of online orders and shots in the dark in terms of fit and performance
I just ordered a pair of Razor SL Classic Black and blue today can't wait to get them I have skated since I was 17 I am 38 so it's going to be interesting
It's been standards when buying any Razors SL since they got released to ditch the base liner; back in the early 2010s the go-to option were the Jug liners, now thankfully after 11 years Razors includes Reign liners.
There have been so many THEM releases I find every now and then shops sell any left over at a good discount. I recently got the 908 limited edition blues brand new for £99/$137 pretty good deal right!
I have a pair of Cult 4's from like 2007 or something that I never stopped skating. Just recently picked up some Aeon 60s and Carbon Frees, the difference in skates over the years is amazing. Love your channel man.
I Bought the Roces M12 . they was super tight around the ankles and hurt so bad, but I used my heat gun to heat mold them and now they fit like a glove! order one size up tho for best fit
Sway 57's here and absolutely love them. I've never had a skate fit me so well, so I think I got lucky as I was just looking for the best value skate to get BACK TO BLADING. I'm looking at retrofitting a 45 strap, which looks easy enough, but I can't find them for sale anywhere at the mo!
As far as I'm aware they don't sell the sway 45° strap separately. If you can't find one the kekoa columbian straps are really nice, only thing is it probably wouldn't line up perfectly with the pre-marked drill holes so you'd have to measure and drill your own. I've got the sway 57s and I put in my crown liners from the farmer sways and I found I didn't need the 45 strap. I found it was the USD basic liner more than anything that wasn't giving me the best fit. Anyway good luck!
Great Episode as usual! Really hoping for you to get the Roces Domestic Punk and the Trigger Jeff Dallas Skates - I would love reviews from you on those skates! Thanks in advance....
Excuse me, are Razors better than USD or FR for aggressive skates? I just hear about the Razors and every channel and person say are the best and i want to buy the best aggressive skates
switched from carbon free to Them 908 and I never had better fitting aggro skate before (maybe xsjado was in line), also I love the narrower soul plate, wings on carbons were just too much for me :) It's all abt your personal style and Them offers what I was looking for over years.
I know it’s an old vid but you’re exactly right I’m a 9 and my aeons literally make my feet fall asleep even with 2nd skin liners. I wish I had seen this before buying
How bad is it for a 50 lb overweight almost 40 year old, back to blading, sorta beginner/sorta not, to start learning aggressive from scratch with only some roller hockey as a child, commuting in college, and adult beginner ice hockey under his belt? I figure I'm already falling trying to learn again, might as well try to fall with some style. Looking at getting a pair of the Razors SL or SL DH 2 for my wide feet. I'm liking the idea of the lower ride height and supposedly easier soul plate grinds (if that's the correct jargon).
Never too late, just set realistic expectations on yourself. If you’re already comfortable on skates that’s a big advantage. Just make sure to stretch before skating and wear a helmet. Have fun!
Nice review but I have some questions coming back to blading it been years(since the 90’s) now I wanna get some aggressive skates but there’s so much to choose now before there weren’t much brands but what’s a good intermediate skate with great comfort and good for long skates and has feature for grinding rails and ledges ?
I found my carbons had the most uncomfortable liner I've had and I've skated alot of brands, just felt tough and unforgiving. Maybe they changed it since I had one of the first carbons they made
@Back to Blading I wish you talked about the Gawds skate. Is that an actual soft boot or just skinned to look like that? And is it a flat boot or raised heel?
You mentioned the USD carbons are very comfortable and fitting like a shoe. I'm hoping to get the new shipment in May. Would they feel comfortable for wide feet?
@@jonathan.johnson6552 thanks for the tip! Since they are heat moldable I'm hopeful 3rd time will be the charm and I'll finally get a skate that fits right
@@anawkwardlifemedia it's so difficult these days, my old Salamons are still my standard and nothing touches it yet. Everyone has different feet and preferences. I only have a few hours in the carbons, and they are not perfect, but so far they are the best. I'm guessing my wide feet would love the Razors but I hate having that huge heel pad and didn't want to gamble removing it and having it not work out right. If my aeon pros were wider they would be my fav by far.
@@jonathan.johnson6552finding out after riding that your boot kills your feet kills the vibe. I was thinking 5th element would be the only boot that fits since its the widest but roces have a squeaky sound from the shell I hate. Maybe I'll go for adapt since it's custom made
My foot is 26.5cm length and I skate with Razors SL size US 9. I believe it fits fine, but I wonder if I could downsize to an US 7 shell (which is exactly 26.5 cm in lenght). Any thoughts that could help me?
Hey I love your videos maybe you can help me a lot, Im 37 years old doing freeskate for 10 years, but now I want to try aggressive I have nice skills in freeskate, wich skates you recommend me to start taking into account that I already have experience in freeskate many thanks !!!
Hey mate, If i want to try antirocker should i try Kizer Fluid 4 Frame or Kizer Slimline II Aggressive Skate Frames on my usd sways? I think the slimline is the safest choice cause i can go flat with that setup as well? Regards
Your backwards, Law... Deshi would be the grandfather of USD Carbons, not the other way around. I used to Have a pair of Deshi CH1. Now that would be the great great grandpa that 1st started using carbon.
"comically long frame" if anyone has any of those 298mm K2 Unnatural Large frames, hit me up. I'm tryna get them. I've got an ISO on Blade Trade Outpost.
Switched from USD SWAY to RAZORS SL DEREK HENDERSON. I got a EU43 size and couldn't be more happy with my new skates... Greetings from Bavaria/Germany!
I got some disposable income comming soon and Im planning on giving away some triple 8 helmets I really wish all would wear them that skate, I want to get involved in getting helmets on heads. Maybe I'll give away even my personal triple 8 matte grey with fresh unused Velcro. All I have to say is can we get a carbon boot with a fucking removable liner? Like wtf this is like the special Olympics.

So glad blading is coming back. I havent skated in 15 years. Bought a pair of razor cult all stars.
You are a legend for making the Deltron reference. You are a true G.
Rite??

that wall is a walkthrough museum.
Managed to find a pair of "new" Them 908s on ebay for $200, only used twice. Can't wait to try them.
i personally prefer 908 over 909, you will have a blast on them! Happy skating
@@afusake Awesome. Thanks!

I gotta grab a set of those 50/50 frames that are bolted to the sways you featured. They look like a beauty design for a flat setup!!
I used Razors Sl shells 6-7 with a 8.5 liners; worked perfect for me.

The razor sl's stock liner sucks but i modify my stock liners with a simple trick.
Now the stock liner is even awesome😁

I have a pair on order. They’re a soft boot with a plastic skeleton. Flat heel

Got the 2021 carbon. My feet are wide they fit my shoe size very well. If your feet are extremely wide you would have to size up.

K2 Make and still make the urban skate the uptown even for 2021, which you can add k2 souplates and any ufs aggressive frames.
The only people getting K2 sole plates are the people who ride for K2. You have a better chance at finding bigfoot than some varsity sole plates

Most skates are vegan. Pretty sure the last time i checked, that plastic doesn't come from an animal.😆😁
