Well said Dan. Looking forward to going back there with you to check out all the new stuff being built. Thanks again for all your help filming. Sterling Part 2!
Hey there, Sage! 😊 Your adventure through the MTB Sterling Forest was a thrill to watch! Riding through those flowy trails with tech sprinkled in, your excitement and appreciation for the little things on the trail truly sparkled through. Big thumbs up to Danny and Jamie for killing it, and to the trail builders for crafting such a masterpiece for riders like you to enjoy! Simply stunning! Keep spreading the stoke and just ride on!
Beautiful riding ! (You guys are monsters) i could tell you were putting everything into it , Where i ride theres maybe one or two huge rocks & i was thinking about them , after seeing your video , i gotta try em ! Hats off to you boys ! 👍
Great riding Sage. You and Danny killed it. All the techy side features are what make Sterling so much fun. Great riding in both directions so it never gets old LOl
Thanks Johnny. Yeah, I can't wait to go back and run it in the opposite direction. I hear there is a lot of new stuff now too. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I've been riding there at Sterling for 5 years now and know it well. Once of the best places to ride in the Hudson Valley. You can combine a large loop at Sterling and then ride over to Ringwood through a connector trail from Long Meadow Rd where it intersects Sterling Mine Road. Take the Cooper Union climb into Ringwood and then go up the Alligator trail to the old Alligator WWII landing craft near Shepards Lake. Between the two places you could easily do a 4-6 hr. ride. Great video!
That sounds like an epic ride man! I've done Ringwood a few times and l love it. Not sure I could handle both places and all that tech in one ride though, lol. Thanks for the feedback and kind words. Sage
You definitely look at rocks differently than me Sage 😂 I would never dream of attempting to ride most of the things you tackle, sending some Scottish kudos to you 🙌
Hey John thank you. Regarding your question it is the American Classic Tectonite. amzn.to/3TcMgV0 I'm currently in the process of testing them and should have a review done soon.
Check out Sprain Ridge in Yonkers, NY. A pretty awesome combination of techy ups and dows with flowy trails. Plenty of features, drops, roll downs, jumps, and punchy climbs. Would make a good video.!
It's a great place and they have added a bunch of new trails since we've been there. In regards to your question, we rode it counter clockwise. You can see a full write up here: trail-sage.com/2023/09/27/sterling-forest/
@pulser955 Absolutely. You could ride the loop then turn around and do it reverse. Also Ringwood is a 1 1/2 mile pedal away so you could get as many miles and as much tech as you want! If you want a tour let me know
I have some trails to reccomend to you. Flow, On your back, 2 crew live, and theres a fun tiny roller on jekyll that has been added i can tell you more about.@@TrailSage
You know it's a good trail system when you have fun despite the oppressive heat! With all the optional features, it's hard to not have fun here!

You definitely look at rocks differently than me Sage 😂 I would never dream of attempting to ride most of the things you tackle, sending some Scottish kudos to you 🙌
Lol, thanks Martin! I taking this to the end until the wheels fall off ;) I've never had a Scottish kudo, but if it comes in a kilt I'm all in.
Nice job filming - place is great.
Thank you so much Jordan! Sage
Dude this place looks epic, flow tech is exactly my type of trail. Leave it to you two to hit super hard features backwards😂
lol classic Dan and Sage right?!?! As for Sterling, you would love this place Zane. Def worth a stop on a road trip.
Nice ride your videos are great & you guys are amazing at the jank

Oh sweet. Thank you for the suggestion Ysael. I will def put that on the list if I ever get up that way.
Good stuff! I need to get there, it’s only 17 miles as the crow flys!
Was that clockwise or counter clock ways

So would you say this is worth the 2 hour drive from Beachwood Nj?
@pulser955 Absolutely. You could ride the loop then turn around and do it reverse. Also Ringwood is a 1 1/2 mile pedal away so you could get as many miles and as much tech as you want! If you want a tour let me know
I agree with Johnny. If you like this type of flow tech it's def worth the 2 hr drive Bob.
Come back to blue mountain!!
That's def on my hit list Willy. There are some trails that we missed the first time I would love to try.
I have some trails to reccomend to you. Flow, On your back, 2 crew live, and theres a fun tiny roller on jekyll that has been added i can tell you more about.@@TrailSage
У меня есть морские свинкиа у тебя хороший канал
Thanks for watching!
It’s better clockwise
Good to know. Thanks Anthony!
Think I'll be okay on fat tire bike on that
Absolutely James. I think a fat bike would be a lot of fun here. Just make sure you have the PSI dialed in.
Flow tech does not exist for me. Two very distant apart activities! Rad riding though 👍
It's a weird combination for sure. So glad we have cool places like this to ride. Thanks for watching James!
For those that like xc this is not your place …it’s not a fast ride ,,,with an more enduro bike and time it’s a fun place to ride
I think you're right. I would not classify this as a good XC place, but with the right bike you can have a lot of fun. Thanks for the comment Pino.
Ebikes?
No, we were on analog bikes Jimmy.
