Paultons has been my absolute favourite UK park for almost 30 years now (not just because it's my home park!) I can't put into words how happy it makes me to watch them go from strength to strength 🥰 Was so lovely to see all the appreciation at the event a few weeks back... sooo well deserved!
Lawrence has got to be one of the most well-balanced, engaging figureheads in the industry, his & Paulton's approach is super refreshing... Can't wait for what's next!

My home park and my favourite place! I cannot wait to see where this park goes. We followed the Splash Lagoon construction and we are now following Ghostly Manor. So exciting!
I honestly can't put into words how excited I am for Ghostly Manor haha
We pop in like weekly and we are always sticking a camera in any construction holes we can find 😂

Brilliant interview! They will become the UK's best park in time for when Universal opens to the public. They certainly are the best at what they already do.

Exciting times for Paultons!! I first went there back in 1990 when i was 3 and althoughi dont remember much of it my mum showed me some pics bot long ago and its a very different place now haha
Took my son last year for his 3rd birthday and he loved it! Cant wait till my daighter is a little older so we can all come back and experience everything the park has to offer!
Lawrence seems to be down to the ground and understand what rhe general public (and thoosies) want 😁
100% I love the idea of having conflict in yourself between enthusiast and park operator haha if that was me I'd lean into my enthusiast desires haha probably best I don't run a park... haha

I get how everybody wants to see thrilling coasters at Paultons but for me their aim should be to become the UK version of places like Efteling or Europa Park. I mean they might no be able to achieve the same scale but I’m talking about the tone and feel of the place. Yes they should have some more thrilling attractions but the theming and immersiveness is what makes it stand out in the UK. Any new attractions that fit in with that, I’m fully on board with! Fill it with dark rides! 😂
Well put! And more dark rides needed across all parks but at least Paulton will make an effort with theirs!

Fantastic interview as always. We visit Paultons Park every year and it the best presented park in the UK. Hoping to see something like Fonix at Farup Sommerland as an investment with the usual high level of Paultons theming.
It’s definitely an exciting future for the park!

no need for snippets, just a nice casual chat, it's always worked for me! I won't put words into Lawrence's mouth but how I interpreted it was that there's a Vikings area with some rides within but that could be wrong

Very disappointing if they are actually not planning a more extreme ride, I think at this point is is the best business decision they can make. No family from Scotland is going to decide to go to Paultons becuase they get another family friendly ride, but enthusiasts from around the world would come if you got just one world class extreme ride. Think about how many people visit plopsaland now and that's on a land mass with loads of amazing rides, the UK is quality devoid.
Plus RMCs have shockingly low height minimums, this shouldn't just be a selfish enthusiast pipe dream, at this point it's a sound business move.
It’s confirmed Chris. No RMC here… it just wouldn’t work for me. Not at Paultons.

I believed as soon as the teaser came out that an RMC at Paultons Park was a crazy interpretation of the teaser! 😨 it was really unlikely to be an RMC.
I believe it'll be some sort of multi launch coaster (Intamin I'd say?) along the lines of Taron, Gotham City Escape or Toutatis at the moment and will have at least one inversion. 😀
I'm very intrigued but I have a feeling that the trailer is showing a land and not a specific ride. I reckon the next teasers (what Lawrence referred to in this chat) will tease the rides.
Has project horizon been delayed?
It has it was scheduled to open next year but work hasn't even commenced on the site. The building that will be home to a scare maze this Scarefest will most likely house Horizon related stuff after Halloween with an estimated opening of 2026... MAYBE if all is still going ahead
Great vid really interesting, I definitely think paultons are up there with thorpe park chessington and towers, wait! Maybe merlin will by them 🤔???
In terms of appearance, operations, food I’d say Paultons wipe the floor with them they just need more rides to compete with the big boys and a dark ride that will hopefully stand head and shoulders above the rest! Appreciate you watching
