Searching for Urban canal Pike - Night of Redemption

- I meet Jay somewhere in the heart of London yet again, in search of the the increasingly elusive pike which inhabit secretly shadowy corners of the urban canal network. Due to a new lack of time in life and in order to cover more area, I resort to lure fishing tactics instead of my preferred baiting techniques.
It would be the first time in several months that I do so, but as night falls I find my quarry. I come so close to success, but today appears not to be the night for it. I return the following day however, determined to change my fate.
Summer is over now, and Autumn is among us.

Reckon so many of those plucks were perch bites..stick on a smelly herring...half mackerel...wait for a big un...I was down in London today.... nearly went fishing... brought my telescopic rod...but unexpected events interceded alas...

Get a Rapala supershad rap, yes the big one, shallow runner, roach pattern, walk the towpath towing it behind you between 3-6ft out from the bank, both Pike and Perch leap at them, I guaruntee you'll catch first time out, I always did, never failed me
I'll be sure to browse for those, I've been looking at quite a few lures online recently. You'll definitely see me test out a few.

Can't agree with the "lucky" part though, over here most of us have to make do with what there is such as these dirty unprotected waterways. A mere 10% of my days out there get posted; the rest is all failure to catch or even find any fish.
