The reason for his success is his line and length. He makes the batsmen play on the front foot and beats them with his spin and flight. You will notice that in almost all his wickets, the batsmen are playing on the front foot.
This is why Nepalese fans commented "Where is Sandeep?" All the time in Delhi capitals page Edit: when he played for the stars BBL teams could only play 2 overseas players in a match. From this season onwards BBL allows 3 in the lineup and 6 in the squad.

What I think is RCB might be going for him in the next auction because Harasanga came in for 10 crores, Karn Sharma for 7 while they can rope in the same quality or even better leg spinner for less than 2 crores(just an assumption this). And he has actually played a lot of cricket in flat tracks of TU which is just as a batting paradise as Chinnaswamy. On the other hand they can actually bid in the auction with the remaining money rather than just watching the teams going for Green, Brooks, Stokes, Curran and more.
