Only difference between Northern/Southern Watch & OIF is during N/S Watch we kept them at arm's length, and OIF we held onto their belt while we each drove daggers into each other.
Don't fool yourself that Desert Storm wasn't the same as Iraq War pt 2 Desert Boogaloo. They were very much the same protracted boondoggles. Desert Storm & the Watches also gave Osama his rally call to build AlQueda.

Found an Arab cassette bootleg copy of the AC/DC live album Jailbreak Live outside of a busted up Iraqi tank near Kuwait City. Put it into my Walkman and while the sound qualify wasn't very good. The war in question is the Spanish Civil War. But, like many songs about war, it applies universally.
For those who don’t know, “For Whom The Bell Tolls” is about the novel by Hemingway, (which is also called “For Whom The Bell Tolls”) - the novel is about about American volunteers fighting in the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939).
It’s a badass story in and of itself, and Metallica absolutely did it justice with one of the most iconic metal songs of all time.

Some countries today are doing better than they did before like competitor China but every 6th graduate wishes to move out today still . I watched the lines of 3/7 Marines marching north (packs so big you couldn't see the men, just bags/ammo/legs) stretching as far as I could see. A black wall of oil fire smoke from sand to sky on the horizon. Only hours later our boys had infiltrated thru the first obstacle and were clearing Iraqis from bunkers on the far side....all while we listened to the BBC on the radio talking about a last minute peace deal. We just looked at each other and chuckled.
