Pak-Mor Rear Loader - Ponderosa Solid Waste

Both their oldest truck and their only blue truck, this tiny little Pak-Mor makes up one half of Ponderosa’s recycle fleet, with the other truck being a much more standard Peterbilt 320 Bridgeport Ranger. It collects their commercial recycle as well as residential in certain areas. In light of the rest of the company’s far beefier East Coast style rear loaders this truck never really caught my eye, but after randomly running into it one morning it proved itself to be far more interesting than I thought. This body sits atop a 2001 Peterbilt 385, powered by a Caterpillar C12 with a manual transmission. The concept of running a one man, manual transmission rear loader on residential is rather unheard of for obvious reasons, but given the limited residential use it does it gets the job done.

that was a pleasant surprise. I wasn't expecting a manual or a growly semi truck chassis and Cat engine from the thumbnail! very nice job, it seems to suit the routes well. really liked that shot of him crossing the bridge earlier in the video too

Cool video! Wish this thing was doing resi the whole time with the toter EVRs and the scenery but still fun to watch stuff go into the truck from the dumpsters. Truck looks nice, also what state was this in?
