Dad lost his job due to the recession and we were forced to move back to a city we were trying to get away from in the first place. now its 2021, turning 21 with many personal, family, and financial problems. This song is just a punch to the chest. It feels like it’s about reminiscing about good times and how it feels to be in a relationship where the other person is losing feelings. It’s so raw and emotional. I’m so grateful for this band and their music style. It’s even more inspiring as a musician who’d love to put out content.

People will interpret the lyrics in different ways, but for me its a song about not being there, with the people I love, not being able to hug them, to hold them close, tell them its going to be alright. This song is gold but holy hell would it hit so much harder if the drums come in half way thru. My band covered it and I came in slowly on the break down around the 2:00-2:15 mark and crashed in. It was such a huge sound. I keep waiting to hear another band cover it that way, or see this band do it. It’s such a good song by itself, but with drums it just jumps to another level.
