That poor drummer was trying so hard to cram all those subdivisions in XD It's always hard to set a pulse rather than follow one when the total ensemble is that huge, let alone when also dealing with such a speedy and often-doubling-or-halving sort of rhythm. The tempo push-pull is noticeable, but not too bad all things considered. Solid performance, I dig how you can definitely tell the musicians all really feel the lyrics and enjoy the song.
hey, that's a fair critique, i guess... we did it better, in '81 in my school choir, and with much less... ha ha.... that song was not my favorite, there was another song or two i've forgot, that i liked better, but i just remember how it felt great to sing with the choir and actually sound good, without all the musical clutter and crowding, ha ha...
Great production and soundtrack glad its being remembered and played today still.....The Grammy's recently had an all-star rendition of it worth seeing too
