I will argue that touch and closeness already depend on country and culture. Its not uncommon is some cultures for parent and/or friends to kiss, hug, massage, sit on each other's lap, spoon, and all that in a non-sexual manner. And Jinx is someone that has/had attachment issues and anxiety, is traumatized, has PTSD, and is emotionally stunted. It is not surprising that she may not know or care about society's boundaries. And is craving touch and closeness, and has a desperate need to be trusted and feel connected and safe with someone. You can already see her having separation anxiety when she and Vi were young. And with VI "abandoning" her, it was probably so much worse and more traumatizing than what many of us could even imagine. Jinx is straight-up crazy, not TV-crazy were random/qurky=crazy, but crazy that comes from lots of stress on the mind and lots of different disorders combined. She doesn't know the boundaries most healthy and functioning humans learn as they grow. And Silco is exactly what Jinx wanted and maybe even needed in some ways after that last trauma of ep 3, someone that trusts her and will give her unconditional love by giving her no boundaries and allowing her to be and feel useful. The fact that he lets her stick his eye with that needle thingy says a lot about their relationship tbh. And Silco allows her all this freedom and allows her to have unconditional love because he sees himself in her, and he felt compassion. He genuinely loves her, and there is absolutely no sexual exchange between them. They are both just fucked up in the head in some way or form, and how close or far away they are from each other is the last thing on their mind. But I do not take away any of your experiences as a child/teen, this is just a character analysis of these two fictional characters that are far from right in the head. It all correlates with the character's emotional state and how it develops as they experience different things. This is why I highly doubt that Jinx and Silco had anything sexual going on because the writers went into this with the knowledge of the psychological traumas and responses the different charecters are experiencing. And Jinx and Silcos relationship, although unusually close for most of us, it makes sense with their background and how and why they are relying on each other in the way they are. This doesn't make it okay, but it isn't (I would be very surprised if it is) anything sexual about their interactions. Sorry about the long comment, I just get really into character analyses lol Much love ♡

26:00 from Silco's monologue in ep.4 I kinda gatherd that his initial plans where thrown right out the window by Powder bomb obliterating his base and further disrupted by construction of Hexgates. Initially he was banking on Shimmer as a great equalizer, but with Hexgates the conflict changed from "Zaun vs Pilltower" to "Zaun vs Pilltower & LITERALLY THE ENTIRE WORLD".
What I liked about this episode that didn't come up in your reaction was how Caitlyn comes across corruption within the enforcers for the first time. Vi being locked away without any apparent crime or record and the guards regularly beating her. The whole discussion with the prison guard or warden is very enlightening of how poorly the enforcers are run.
Great episode. The knee to the face and the whole fight was awesome. If you didn't notice, there was a little old lady (or whatever race Himerdinger is) moving to the trolley behind Caitlyn. By the time Caitlyn is in the alley down below, the same little old lady is behind her again. Funny to see you guys squirm during the baptism scene. The animators know what they're doing. Oh and the madam's voice was that of Mira Furlan. She was Delenn on Babylon 5 and Rosseau on LOST. SHe passed at the beginning of this year and I'm happy to have her work still reaching us. RIP.
Even though it’s probably not the same instrument(the one the studio recorded, not the tuba-violin thingy), I’ll never stop using the “played like a fiddle” symbolism during the performance scene.
Love that awkward moment when Silco has already threatened Marcus about their partnership, and then finds out Marcus lied to him a long time ago, and you know how vindictive he gets about betrayal.
All Musics/songs in this show is specifically made for this show Riot Games gathered many artists to make the songs. Fun fact: Riot's Musics are very well known for fans and non-fans specially Imagine Dragons so it's a hype for us. They sung the song for League named "Warriors" a world championship song in 2014.
Yea and it’s annoying at this point tbh. It’s literally confirmed by this episode that’s all they are. It’s a twisted relationship of co dependency, but it is not sexual in the slightest. I mean hell Silco literally refers to Jinx as “child”. You don’t refer to your lover that way.
@@mathies3598 For sure, but it kind of irks me no one is taking into consideration that Jinx was 9 maybe 10 and she had already lost both biological parents, her adoptive brothers, adoptive father, and her actual sister. It is indescribable what kind of damage that does to a child. She is essentially still stuck in the mindset of that child. Kids that age with attachment issues crave love and affection. The problem is Jinx was never able to grow past that point so now when she clings onto Silco like a child it’s seen as “weird” or “inappropriate” because it’s a stigma that big kids aren’t supposed to do that. Silco definitely had his own agenda in raising Jinx to be a radicalist but at his core he simply wants her to be strong.

Also, that violinist in the conert hall scene. He's modelled after a real dude, his name Ray Chen. One of the great prides of Taiwan, he's the music consultant for Riot games that help with all of the cinematic trailers of league of legends. That's why all their music is so good, all of the concerto played in the concert hall scene, he played and had it all recorded himself to make sure it's perfect. And all of the score (excluding some songs made by other artists), either he had a hand in faciliating its production or he did it himself.
"He would definitely push her off the cliff like Thanos" The fact that I also thought that at the start and then gradually started to change my opinion on him is what makes me like Silco so much.
@@gaybatgosqueak There's one scene in particular, on that episode, which made me go "Silco IS in fact a deeper character than he looked like at first blush." @@XpVersusVista Nah, you should be able to envision a version of yourself that has lived through some semblance of what the person you're imagining yourself as has lived through. Otherwise what's the point? If I see a bodybuilder and think "Oh, I'd just sit on the couch if I was him" like, wow? THAT doesn't make sense. OP is rightly criticizing how people tend to insert themselves into characters and how they would do it better/differently when that's incredibly pointless high roading most of the time. "Oh, if I was that depressed character I'd just be happy", "Oh, if I was that character with a traumatic childhood and trust issues I'd just recognize that I can trust this specific person". No, that's not how it works. For Jinx for example you CAN insert yourself and think of ways she could "become good" again, but it would be pointless to ignore the backstory.
I realize this is several months old, but a lot of reactions get confused as to how Vi could be in prison unbeknownst to Silco or Jinx after Marcus "rescued" her. Marcus still needed a fall-guy for the initial explosion at the lab. The council was pushing on a culprit and with Grayson dead, Marcus had an opportunity to get the big break he needed for his power hunger. He likely turned in Vi, had her disappeared, and explained to the council the that the head suspect was in jail, the rest dead in a gang fight. He needed that capture to reap rewards but also needed Silco unaware that she was still alive; so she was imprisoned without record. As far as Silco and Jinx were concerned, she ran away forever or died. Marcus became Sheriff for his work, kept standings with Silco, and maneuvered the entire justice system to work his needs, while lying to both sides.
Even later response, but an important element is that only Powder/Jinx saw Vi after the explosion and it's clear to observers that Jinx has hallucinations, including of Vi. She absolutely could have come to believe Vi died in the blast as well. All Marcus needed to do was say he never saw anyone else leave the building.
Imagine Dragons has a history with Creating songs just for League of Legends. They specifically crafted Enemy as a song just for the purpose of Arcane.
I can compare the people of the Underciry to the Faunus from RWBY. Vander is like Ghira Belladonna, who wanted the Faunus to peacefully gain equality, while Silco is like Sienna Khan, who wanted to use force where necessary to gain respect through fear.
In case you didn't know the song "Warriors" by Imagine Dragons is literally about League of Legends. They made it and performed it for the world championship final.
Yep, Marcus told Silco that he killed Vi after taking her, but actually he threw her in prison. This was foreshadowed in the beginning of the episode when Caitlyn said to Vi "there's no record of you or your crimes" meaning that Marcus made it so she couldn't be found; basically the next worst thing to being dead. Also it tells you how goddamn shady that prison is to have prisoners on the books with no criminal charges at all. It was the tiniest bit of mercy Marcus could show to her.
I think what's also a bit frustrating is that, if you googled even for just 10 seconds, you would immediately see why Imagine Dragons and League of Legends has such a tight partnership and that these songs were created in tandem for the show. I don't know, I just find it a bit weird to bring up a point in several episode and never bother to even check with 1 google search
EDIT: I'm learning that whoever runs Imagine Dragons's whole ordeal hasn't always been so generous, even with Riot. Most Riot music is fine, but taking caution with stuff involving Imagine Dragons is smart. I don't think the song belongs to Imagine Dragons, or their label/producer/etc, it was made for Arcane, so it belongs to Riot. Riot being heavily in tune with their streamer and youtuber community, they don't typically hit anyone with strikes on their content, because they seem to understand that the content creators are their biggest and most cost effective source of advertisement for their creations. Considering they've been in the music game for a few years now, music they own definitely falls under this "safe to stream" umbrella. Trust an avid League player and general content consumer, of the 11 years I've been watching, I don't think I've heard anything about a single copyright claim from that company, and I've heard much of their music being used on streams who are playing a game that has nothing to do with league of legends, particularly some of the "Warsongs" soundtrack, back when that was fairly new.
During Arcane’s first week, channel’s that did reactions got copyrighted so it could have been the Enemy song or something else (like a mistake on Riot’s part) but reactors now have been careful on not showing the song, so really can’t blame them.
You know what, fair enough. I had no idea the Imagine Dragons songs were such a problem. It's very odd considering everything else Riot is involved in hasn't seemed to share this problem, but I guess it does make sense somewhat.
Imagine Dragons also made the official song for the League of Legends Worlds (E-Sports) in 2014. And it's insanely good. It's called "Warriors" and there's an animated video as well. Might wanna check that out!

Imagine Dragons is one of the musical partners of riot. The other one is Zed. Imagine dragons also wrote a song for an international event for league of legends called Warriors
Why would radioactive(even though the line "I'm breathing in the chemicals" could apply to Sandir)or thunder be played for this movie?. The lyrics of this song match perfectly with Arcane storyline and characters The songs or featured songs should be more than just the beat if selected for a show, it's the lyricism and how well it accurately tells the story of whatever is happening or characters its written for. Which is why this theme song is dope. Take colors of the wind from Pocahontas as a PERFECT example
Cool bit of lore, 18:50, Sevika plays a hand that has "Death" and "The Magician". This is actually a reference to what Viktor will become if you know the game lore. Obviously he's currently on death's door, but if we look at the magician card we see 2 things. Firstly we see some sort of object floating between his hands, this is Viktor's Hex-Core. Secondly we see a third arm over his shoulder, this is the Hex-Arm that Viktor showed to Heimerdinger. And obviously we know that Hextech and the Hex-Core are used to harness magic, hence he is the magician.
Imagine Dragons and League have a bit of history and have worked together often, that's the reason for the intro and their cameos. It's a bit funny to see just how much they've used their song though, especially if you don't know the context.
Under Vander, the Underside was happier but it was stagnating. Under Silco, the Underside is sort of lighting itself on fire to fuel itself and as we see even that is barely enough to catch up since Hextech came in. So as far as being taken seriously and given representation goes, Silco may have been the best choice.
Agreed. Silco industrialized the Undercity and brought about a lot of progress - the problem is, in order to achieve even that bit of progress so much needed to be sacrificed. The undercity is so much richer under Silco, they have advanced transportation and access to clean air, but it comes at a steep cost: addiction to shimmer and the rise of the chembarons.
Regarding Vi, I think Marcus told Silco he killed her. Silco then probably told Jinx that he found out she was dead - though I doubt he'd say it was Marcus, just because he's still gotta do business with him and Jinx is there, and he wouldn't want an indirect reminder of Vi in his office all the time.
I don’t understand the Imagine Dragons hate all the time. They worked their asses off to make something of themselves and make some pretty awesome music. Oh well…
Riot didn't choose that track for their intro out of a list of existing songs. The track was commissioned by them. It was created specifically for the show.
If mining was the first thing improve by hextech would meant more resource/less casualty and lead to much more ease in developing in other areas, so I like them making the tools, also it is a really nice game reffrence
I wouldn't call Silco a groomer. He doesn't want anything sexual from Jinx. I am pretty sure what you guys are seeing is Riot's idea of a father complex on jinx' side. She probably has a crush on Silco. Silco uses pretty much everyone but i am sure Jinx is actually the one person he truly cares for. The same way Silco was Jinx' replacement for Vi, i think Jinx was Silco's replacement for Vander. Marketa's point "i think if Jinx messes up in a major way Silco wouldn't forgive her" is actually mostly disproven. Jinx' fuckup with the delivery would have gotten anyone else killed. He only sent her to her room, like a father would if you crash his car when going out without him allowing it. I guess they really need to binge the whole 6 episodes and really pay attention to see it though. Every Arcane arc was meant to be watched back to back. That is why they don't release only one episode but a full arc per week.
Jinx and Silco do have a weird but im positive its nothing sexual, he does care about her and she actually loved him like a daughter loves a father, wanting him to be proud of her and all. Kinda sad and tragic honestly...
Riot be like: SHACO LORE : 🚫 Imagine Dragons lore : 💯 Btw I love Imagine Dragon being with them for 7 years in the 2014 Worlds Opening Ceremony to Closing it was a Banger
The giant fish monster you were mentioning is probably a Jaull-Fish, its a fish native to a place called Bilgewater in League lore. Its pretty important for one of the characters in league.
I love the Harley and Joker comparison with jinx and victor with the baptismal method to erase your past Also love how they paint anyone as really good or really bad. Like life, it’s painting in grey instead of black and white
yeah they are quick to be biased. Like really quick. Calling Silco a "groomer" for example. I personally see no sexual interest from Silco in Jinx. He is literally the new "partner in crime" since he lost Vander, and always wanted Vander back. Jinx is literally the only person Silco truly cares for besides Zaun as a whole. Silco is continuing to do what Vander once did, and Vander also took those kids in, yet i don't see them calling Vander evil or a groomer lol. Jinx jumping in Silco's lap and stuff is less Silco's doing and more Jinx, who most likely has a "father complex" crush on Silco by that point. It's Jinx who is looking for the physical contact, not Silco.
"I know they were super excited to think about how it could be used for mining, but isn't that what dynamite was originally used for?" While yes, it's also a matter of efficiency and productiveness in consideration. If you have people chipping away at rock with hammers and picks to break out fist sized chunks of rock at a time when instead you can have someone carve out entire slabs and then pulverize them, or simply just precision carve ore from the stone and avoid all the extra work you can increase yields without increasing manpower. Conversely you might risk decreasing the work force, because if one person can perform the work of 4 through the use of new tools, you're going to lose at least half the work force when they're let go for redundancy. Unless you can expand operations enough that the entire current workforce can work at the same capacity at a much wider coverage, they'd probably be looking at some resentment for costing people their livelihoods. Of course this isn't actually touching the argument that it can be weaponized, I mean, come on. Really anything can be weaponized if you have the drive to attack someone with it. While a death ray claw is significantly more threatening, they would be very limited production, so any suspects are easy to find and even if they're fighting openly, it's still limited to operate in field of vision of the operator and their own reaction speed. Untrained gutterpunks with death lasers probably wouldn't win against a squad of enforcers with guns unless they've got something else to balance the equation, like a stasis field or a singularity generator.

Sorry about the long comment, I just get really into character analyses lol
Much love ♡
@@kunilsen2519 all I'm gonna say is if I had to see someone in real life act like they do , it would be odd and gross me out and theres no doubt about that . Adopted or not, trauma or not . Its uncomfortable to me in every way .
But like I said I do understand why they act the way they act . But literally most people who see the scenes of them being close cringe and think its very weird how touchy they get with each other . Theres a reason for that and it isnt wrong for the people who react to the show to feel that way . Yet people in their comments will get upset at them for it .
Not to mention how many times ive come across shippers of silco x jinx in the arcane fandom and questionable fan art of them .
But anyway, I get what you mean and I can respect it . Thanks for seeing it from my side as well ♡
When the music video came out for Enemy, I figured that it was funded by Riot for having so many scenes from Arcane and clearly adopting the same art style, but I DID NOT expect them to just pop up in the show itself 😭 I couldn’t help but get excited when the track started during the show, and now I’ll always see Vi’s KNEE TO THE FACE when I listen
RIP.
Heimer belongs to the Race of Yordles who know secret ways throughout Runeterra and live for a long time.
You should check out the music video for “Enemy”. It is all original animation for the music video!

Even though it’s probably not the same instrument(the one the studio recorded, not the tuba-violin thingy), I’ll never stop using the “played like a fiddle” symbolism during the performance scene.
Oh…
Damn.
6:17 No i disagree the song "enemy" is a nice fit for opening and it just makes since.
18:22
If I recall correctly, one of Vi's in-game voice lines is "Punch first. Ask questions while punching."
I'm sad y'all didn't say anything about Vi and Cait's flerty scene in a literal brothel.

"If she fucks up in a major way he probably wont forgive her"
episode 9: -_-
Mickey is so stuck on Silco and Jinx being something more...
@@Mizako96 well to be fair it's not that far away considering the "daddy" trend...
Eh I think it's clearly intended to be a skeevy and 'problematic' relationship. It's definitely fair to wonder.
@@pixadavid I do agree that its supposed to feel weird and wrong, but I don't see the Harley and Joker whatsoever
Did no one else see that old man beat Vi and Caitlyn using stairs XD
beat Cait. Not Vi. She just waited for Cait to give the clothes she stole from those randos who tried to rob/assault her.
He took the bathysphere, which had been Cait's suggestion in the first place.
“Where’s Kate?!”
“Flirting”

4:34 - Can we just talk about how Rana passed the remote control to Micky, fully trusting him? Especially after that disaster when he turned off the tv by accident during a Todoroki moment.
Marcus told silco he took care of Vi, its not shown but its implied.
"He would definitely push her off the cliff like Thanos"
The fact that I also thought that at the start and then gradually started to change my opinion on him is what makes me like Silco so much.
Agreed, I even legitimately felt for him in episode 9
@@gaybatgosqueak There's one scene in particular, on that episode, which made me go "Silco IS in fact a deeper character than he looked like at first blush." It's one reason I kinda fell for the writing here, the characters we follow most are all flawed but *believably* flawed... or having those believable noble streaks when they appear to be just evil f-ckers.
... now side characters, not nearly as fleshed out but still believable.
Ive watched this fully twice and many reactions to it... and I just now realized something because yall showed a couple seconds of it at @8:39. That old guy with the cane... when Cait lands in the underground area finally you see that old guy again just trucking along and Cait notices like "wait wtf." You'll see him at about @9:28.
6:00 I always find it really funny when people are like "If I was that character-" cuz it's always like dude, if you were in that character's position, you would have died ages ago
@@YourBlackLocal It's not though, why would you gain their skills while ignoring the backstory they had to get those skills?
@@YourBlackLocal what a bad comment lol
@@lyrrr.8059 not to be rude, but that is a dumb assumption. "why would you gain their skills while ignoring the backstory they had to get those skills". Because without it you wouldn't even be in that situation where you can "do it differently", thus making the whole point completely mood.
Either you take over for them in that exact instant or the whole thought experiment is useless, because none of this would be happening.
@@XpVersusVista Nah, you should be able to envision a version of yourself that has lived through some semblance of what the person you're imagining yourself as has lived through.
"What are you shooting for?"
Caitlyn: "Second Amendment bro! BOOM HEADSHOT!"
Every time Surej says "MEANWHILE", I love it so much...
they are not imagine dragons they are "believable serpents" according to league of legends
"Shoot your caviar in my face." - Chris instant Patrice comeback. 4:20
Hahahaha
18:22 funny enough vi's dialogue when she is picked in league is "punch first ask questions while punching"
I'm pretty sure Silco want independence from Piltover. He tells Vander their dream was the nation of Zaun.
vi and cait the ship is now sailing
Imagine Dragons has a history with Creating songs just for League of Legends. They specifically crafted Enemy as a song just for the purpose of Arcane.
Silco is a god damn good villain man
Forreal
the guy thats says flirting in the scene of jinx and silco, look...therapy it's a option for you too, wtf
I can compare the people of the Underciry to the Faunus from RWBY.
Vander is like Ghira Belladonna, who wanted the Faunus to peacefully gain equality, while Silco is like Sienna Khan, who wanted to use force where necessary to gain respect through fear.
I love every characters in arcane even the enemies are great that I feel compassion to them.
"That's my purse." absolutely phenomenal reference
10:43 "She has crazy eyes."
Well, Crazy-Eyes is crazy.
There have been quite a few for the Imagine Dragons song when it first came out.
It's very odd considering everything else Riot is involved in hasn't seemed to share this problem, but I guess it does make sense somewhat.
yeah i will be really happy if some reactor say ract to this part , any recomendation?
@@ToySouljah. that could have been due to other songs like Bea Miller's "Playground". Who knows these days with all the ridiculous rules.

Imagine Dragons also made the official song for the League of Legends Worlds (E-Sports) in 2014. And it's insanely good. It's called "Warriors" and there's an animated video as well. Might wanna check that out!

I (really) liked the Duo ov Vi and Cait, they got great Chemestry and work really well with each other.
Also love the Scene where Vi asks: "So whats it gonna be, Man or Women?" and after that we see Caitlyn sitting with a Women. ;)
And well the "You`re hot cupcake" scene where Vi pushes Cait up against the wall......the tension.....damn.
Jinx conecting with her past, sadly as broken as ever. I really dig her Character and im hyped for her further Character development, however it goes.
Still feel kinda sad for her tho.....possibly Schizophrenic, heavy Trauma, ect ect........*sigh*

Imagine dragons warriors is also another song done for league, amazing music video as well.
The lyrics of this song match perfectly with Arcane storyline and characters
The songs or featured songs should be more than just the beat if selected for a show, it's the lyricism and how well it accurately tells the story of whatever is happening or characters its written for.
This was definitely my favorite episode thus far
this and the third one for me
The ending of episode 4 is so 🔥🔥🔥 . All episodes are so rewatchable and great.
micky: ask questions first?
vi: punch first! ask questions later
30:43 "Mel is honey-potting him [Jayce]" -- "He's Winnie the Pooh if that's a honey pot." 🤣😂
8:50 Vi clearly been running in circles in her cell! lol
I don’t understand the Imagine Dragons hate all the time. They worked their asses off to make something of themselves and make some pretty awesome music. Oh well…
Riot didn't choose that track for their intro out of a list of existing songs. The track was commissioned by them. It was created specifically for the show.
idk i feel like mel doesn’t have super ill intentions but maybe i would be gettin my ass played too tho😂😂

Ask questions 1st? Vi's voiceline in the game is ask questions while punching!

The giant fish monster you were mentioning is probably a Jaull-Fish, its a fish native to a place called Bilgewater in League lore. Its pretty important for one of the characters in league.
I love the Harley and Joker comparison with jinx and victor with the baptismal method to erase your past
Also love how they paint anyone as really good or really bad.
It's Jinx who is looking for the physical contact, not Silco.
putting power in the hands of everyone

"I know they were super excited to think about how it could be used for mining, but isn't that what dynamite was originally used for?"
While yes, it's also a matter of efficiency and productiveness in consideration.
