Great video. Thanks. Another adjustment I do is turn the RD Gain down to 4-6 and turn on Transmit Boost

Good video. I also change ground filters especially switching to Band Pass, which can help a lot too.
Before turning down the sensitivity, I would first turn down the RX Gain. Neither has any effect of output signal, but the RX gain is amplifying all the EMI too, and so that is where I would go first of thee two.

I always see these videos about getting rid of EMI and tweak everything. The problem many people have with the V3i is there are too many adjustments to make and people like to just turn on a metal detector and go hunt. The first thing I would always do is ground balance first. Then if I was using a wireless headphone I would go to the Audio section to make sure the green bar is 90% green if not you have interference, change the channel. Last go to Sensitivity Probe and look at what Noise reads if it’s zero or very low you should have very little external noise. I would do this before I did any of the changes you suggested.

In my opinion, you're loosing a lot of depth and sensitivity to deep targets of the V3i by turning down DISC first. Your goal should be to try to keep the DISC setting as high as possible and reduce the interference with Filters, Lower RX Gain setting, Frequency offset. If in a area with extreme EMI use single frequency. If you haven't reduced EMI with these options then reduce DISC.
