15 years ago I say crochet snowflakes on Ebay. I think it was a Canadian lady. I ended up buying about 250 of them. They make a beautiful christmas tree. I combine then all the time with white and clear baubles or wit green ones, on theur owns with garland of tiny snowballs. And best of all they all fit in one shoebox!
I have a great idea for the green wooden Christmas tree that was in mummy’s bathroom last year 2021. Screw in small hooks at the end of each branch and then you can hang baubles/ornaments from each little hook. It will bring new life! Perhaps a woodland creature tree or squirrels and hedgehogs! 😉

When you put the lights away after Christmas, you should wrap the various sets around parts of the lids of all of the boxes you get in Cadeaux, then put them in rows back in that trunk or somewhere in Narnia.

Oh the Aloysius book... I purchased the book last year and read it for our Thanksgiving guests this year. I enjoy telling everybody I know about the Chateau Diaries and all the cast of characters.
I too purchased the Aloysius book last year! Keep it right next to my area of the Living Room that I enjoy best of all, and do show guests and also tell them about Lalande. It is great having a part of LaLande with you, I feel. It is the best I can do, and not maybe too much but I feel closer to everyone just having it here.
I love the pink wall color in the new bathroom. It is so pretty with the tiles and can't wait for when the wallpaper goes up. Maria - the flowers are beautiful!!! And the room and tree is SO awesome. If you wrap the lights around a piece of card, they don't tangle and are easy to use next time, plus, they store better like your trims do, flat! Aaaahh, now that there are dogs at La Lande I feel like it is complete. I'm a dog mumma and I just love their presence, wherever possible. A beautiful joyful episode, once again. Every second of it!
Ian reinforced the floor and put insulation in the main part of the attic this year. They can put a whole apartment up there some day in the new cleared out space.😁🍭❤🌺🌹🥂
I hate to make more work for Dan :) but I think the mirrored wardrobes should be in the more open area so that people have space to look at themselves when trying on pieces from the costume cupboards.

Okay so my extra suggestions for the full narnia effect if you want to do the victorian lamp post etc... you need to turn the old bathroom into a secret dressing room (for people trying out fancy dress options) with a small heater and winter forest wallpaper, but hide the doorway to it inside a wardrobe full of fur coats with the back removed.... and you need to find a way to sneak in a painting of an old ship in a storm somewhere in the big room hehe On a practical note while you still have space, can I suggest putting an old table and chairs up there somewhere so you all have a surface to rest boxes on or pile up the things you need to take downstairs without putting it all on the floor or always crouching down?

Saw your lights when you take them down wrap around large piece of card
I use rectangles of cardboard with notches on the edge to wrap lights. Saves lots of time. Would love a Narnia attic to help with organization

WOW! They walked in with boxes of groceries! Just put any of my Hostess Gifts to shame.
I store my Christmas lights by wrapping them around pieces of cardboard and taping the ends. That way they don’t get all tangled.
