Auw I miss Loves. Thank u for this video. I’ve been unable to find a 🇨🇦 job as a new driver for a year now. I’m so discouraged. I messaged all the dealers out here today to ask for networking help. Come pick a rookie up from Newfoundland!🤓
I was just in Ontario and Manitoba a couple of weeks ago on vacation. Absolutely beautiful there (Lake of the Woods). Good luck with finding a job. Persistence pays off! You'll find something soon!
We used to just call that shifting the truck I guess the younger fellas call it floating gears there was no using a clutch or brakes the clutch was to start off to get it in gear the brakes were to hold the vehicle so it won't roll away or if somebody ran out in front of you
If you shift with the clutch and it is still able to grind it is not synchronized. In other words, if you have to time it perfectly to keep from grinding.
It looks simple enough. I have an automatic transmission only thanks to cr England but the company I want to apply for only has ten speeds. At what rpm do you start to shift? And what about downshifting?
Usually with a 10 speed, I feel my way through the first few gears. I only use 1st on a grade. Easy way to remember is 15 mph 1+5=6th gear, 25 mph 2+5=7th gear, etc... in the Mack with the MP8 motor, I usually take the RPMs to 1600 then shift. It should fall in the next gear around 1400.
@@musicman4782 i drive international with the beautiful maxxforce lol, its a 10 speed as well, I usually shift empty or light around 16/16.5 and loaded around 17. All engines shift different though.
Counting the gears really shows it's nothing the one time that you mentioned the speed you were going in the gear was slightly helpful if you would have continued to mention the speed and the gear that would have been helpful would have also been helpful if you would have told us if you down shifted from say V the first when you came to a stop and how you do that you rather get up and go into a lower gear rev it up again and going to a lower gear or did you just come to a stop in 5th gear switch the range selector and go to First and explain what you're doing
25 mph: 2+5=7th gear. 35 mph 3+5=8th gear etc... put slight pressure on the shifter before you let go of the throttle and it will come right out of gear when you release the throttle. hope this helps!
That's what I never grassped when watching videos about unsycronize trans. I thought you could be safe from grinding when double clutching. It's nothing like a car.
Love the sound of that MP8 😍

Very nice video man what are you using to record a go pro with a head mount ?
Yes. It's the GoPro Hero 5 Session (maybe 6, I can't remember for sure) on a head mount with a microphone attached.
Buen vídeo,sigue subiendo.
how do i know if my meritor is synchronized? 2006 volvo vnm 10 speed

Great vid bro just 1 question do you use your couch for range shift
No lol
I have that same ringtone on my phone😂😂😂😂😂
What gear do you usually start in? Just push the clutch for 1st and reverse?
If I'm loaded, 1st or 2nd. Empty is 3rd or 4th. And yes only use the clutch when stopped.

When you change gear do you fully release the gas pedal?
Yes. It's all about timing and getting it in the next gear at the right rpm. If you miss the gear, throttle up and try again.
nice video men (more videos)
As Simple as that.
Get some, big dog!!!!!!
Can u shift from from 5th to 7th
Yes. If the load is light enough, or you are bobtail, you can skip shift.
Is there a camera on your head?
No
Fellow Nebraskan👋🏽

I drove a tow truck with one of these 10 speed first time. Clutch or no clutch you still have to match speeds . Clutch dose no good
