3 of them were sahabah, others were faqih and muhadith, and the 12th one , some claim he didn't exist while others say he died very early... May Allah have mercy on all of them.

That shia scholar didn’t even know his books and every difficult Hadith was weak espiacially the Hadith about the Quran with 17.000 more verses tthan the Mushaf that we have today was pointed out as weak, but we can read that it was classified as sahih by there own shia scolars hahahah epic debate it was.

Shia must understand that the concepts of KHALIFA and IMAM are both after NUBUWWAH (prophethood), so, these two are not part of Nubuwwah.......this means that it will never affect Islam , it can never give Islam more insights like new Hadiths etc. But if you look into Shiism, they claim that their so called imams have come with what they call Hadiths (like the Al-Kafi and other shia lies) ....that is just entirely against the Quran = Al-Imran 3:19 : ان الدين عند الله الإسلام .......... Becuase this Islam was with Allah at the period of the Nubuwwah of Prohet Muhammad (pbuh). He was not a companion of the prophet (peace be upon him). He remained and died as a Muslim. He caused some major fitna in medinah leading to Muslims being killed. He also spread Islam to Cyprus. He did both good and evil. However, he did NOT kill Hussain رضي الله عنه just to make it clear. Yazid was in Syria whilst Hussain was in Karbala. Yazid and Hussain were related as cousins since the prophet (peace be upon him) was Muawiyyah رضي الله عنه brother in law. The people who killed Hussain were acting upon their own commands. Yazid only sent a brigade to Karbala where Hussain was to come to an agreement. Yazeed spread Islam to Cyprus, what did the Shi’a ever do for this ummah excerpt betray us like the Fatimids in Egypt. Yazeed is better than you, at least he never committed major shirk, his tawheed was purer than yours Ya Khabeeth.

As an ex Shia I would say that’s rubbish. By the way I did not become sunni but Zaidi. Anyway the problem is on the Shia and not Muslims at large because to Shias imama is the MOST fundamental aspect of faith and they want to establish it from various hadiths, none mutawattir and by interpreting them according to their doctrine instead of constructing a doctrine from the Hadith. The imama concept as understood in twelver Shiism has no Quran if basis which is the source of belief, Hadith can only expand on a belief, explain it and give details, not establish it as a fundamental
Came here randomly researching for the status of the 12 Imams. But I gotta say from an objective perspective his statement makes no senese. He claims that the prophet should be more specific although the Quran itself is sometimes not revealing itself. And this is his argument. I get what he is trying to say but this does not refute anything so far.
I agree with what you and I'm not shia. His argument is weak. I will research on it. The sunni argument is not impressive. May Allah guide us. I am not a shia hater. They perhaps they have a better argument as I've observed.

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (saaw) CLEARLY states that Imam Ali (as) is his successor after his death. He states “For whosoever I am his leader Ali (as) is his leader”.

I can’t agree with this explanation fully. I agree that the first section of the Hadith is ambiguous but to say that ambiguity nullifies something in Islam isn’t exactly true. We have various things in Islam that are left ambiguous and we accept them. Some examples are that of laylatul Qadr, it was given to us but it’s exact date is hidden. Would we consider laylatul Qadr null do to this ambiguous date? No of course not. Also we have Hadith such as those of the pen and paper, Hadith in regards to fitnah and of course the signs of the day of judgment which are all full of grey areas. Grey areas don’t nullify something all the time, sometimes what is said or written in this manner is used as a means to use logical reasoning to come up with an answer to it. In Islam we are encouraged to use reason and intelligence is wonderful. As for the second part, sheikh says we need not ask who are these 12 persons due to the fact that in a separate narration we don’t really need to know who those who were whipped in hellfire were. However the context and the flow of the narration is different and once can associate a specific context with all of those separate and individual texts that come after it, in this case one piece of text containing sarcasm could be attributed to a separate text containing a more serious tone, and in this way one would misinterpret the meaning of the latter by attributing that context to the last text. It also says specifically here that the believers would agree, there will be a consensus on who these 12 persons are. This nullifies the sheikhs conclusion that who these 12 are is irrelevant, because it’s clear that these 12 persons will indeed become relevant to the believers and a consensus will be met. Asking who they are is important, by asking is the only way one can know and by knowing is the only way to reach the conclusion. In history and theology, we’ve only ever had a consensus on a few specific things. For example, Abu Bakr(ra), Omar(ra), Uthman(ra) and Ali(ra) were the first 4 caliphs. But even then there wasn’t a consensus as a whole, because the first three and especially the third were highly opposed by various groups of sahaba. While there was agreement within the large groups, not all groups agreed and therefore that isn’t considered a complete consensus rather partial. Now if we consider the whole ummah throughout time agreeing on these caliphs we still see that over time it’s fluctuated, at times certain sects had more power than others and leaders of the past were contested on their piety, morals and leadership throughout time, it wasn’t always a straight road, especially during the Abbasid period. So all in all this is not a convincing refutation of what the Shias claim, the logic doesn’t add up. I’m not saying that the Shia are right but I’m saying this refutation isn’t sufficient and it is lacking. May Allah forgive if I said anything wrong here, may Allah guide us all, ameen 🤲

The hadith only talks about the strength and power of Muslims under these caliphs not (whether these caliphs are righteous or not) and that is historical fact. Don’t you believe that Your imams are humiliated by the umayyads and the abbasids and one of them is still hiding. How can Islam be successful under humiliated and hidden imams?

Cannot be because the prophet specifically said the words 12 from Quriash shall command you, plus the words either Caliph or Emir (commander) there are multiple times were the prophet spoke or the same thing. Mawla can have several meanings. If Ali Radi'Allahu anh being appointed as a Khalifa was revealed from Allah, why didn't Allah reveal about it in the book? Why didn't Rasulullah explicitly proclaim it during Hajjatul Bida when Muslims came from all corner of the world instead spoke to handful of people near well? Why didn't he repeatedly warn people about it in his majlis with clear cut speech as he used to do in other cases? If it was such a crucial aspect of deen, as the Ithna ashariya claim as "foundation of deen", then the logic necessitates there has to be qati and repeated nusus from Qur'an, so that no one can oppose it. Just as Allah revealed and addressed repeatedly about the issues like Tawhid, warning against shirk, resurrection after death, etc. Or is it the case that the Qur'an is incomplete?
The Quran is a book of guidance. Why doesn't Quran tell us the number of Rakats to read in our Salah? We get that from the Holy Prophet through his actions, hadith etc don't we? The fact that the Prophet told us quite explicitly to follow Quran and his Ahlul Bayt is evidence enough that these two things are inseparable until they reach Him at the pool of Kauther. Only the Ahlul bayt can teach us the true meaning of the Quran because both are pure - makes sense when you think about it. Imamah doesn't need to be mentioned in the Quran (even though there are verses that do allude to it) when the Prophet is telling you to follow the Quran and them!

The Hadith doesn’t say the caliphs are righteous, not just yazid but many umayyad caliphs weren’t righteous. But the Hadith only talks about the spread of islam and the military strength etc. not a righteous caliphs

The other six will come in the end times and they are: 7) Harith ibn Harrath, 8) Imam Al-Mahdi, Caliph of Allah, 9) Shua'ib ibn Salih At-Tamimi, 10) Dhul-Qarnain (Al-Mawla), second son of the Imam Al-Mahdi, 11) Al-Qahtani, fourth son of the Imam Al-Mahdi, and 12) Al-Mansur Al-Jahjah (or Jahjal), third son of the Imam Al-Mahdi. The authors offered this list with an explanation to the events of their lives based on hadiths. A man by the name of Jared Rothschild also mentioned this in an article he wrote in his facebook account.

@@millat_ibraheem From what I have seen on this same channel, seems Abbasids were bitter enemies of the Ummayds for the same reasons as Shias, the only difference being, Shias monopolized the caliphate for the descendants of Ali RA, while Abbasids believed caliphate can only be held by Banu-Hashim in general and is not just for the descendants of Ali RA. I could be wrong though.
@@millat_ibraheem I think I saw it in one of the videos from Hani on this channel, he was saying initially the shias weren't as divergent in aqeeda as the shias of today, in fact except for the political differences there they weren't that different, in terms of aqeeda alone the gap between shias, Abbasid or ummayad wasn't that great, and that shias gradually moved away from ahle-sunnah. I may be paraphrasing here based on my memory, I have little knowledge but keen interest in the history of Islam. May Allah forgive me for my ignorance.

I just wanted to say something about the words KHALIFA and IMAM.
These two words are very confused in Shiism. Shia must understand that the concepts of KHALIFA and IMAM are both after NUBUWWAH (prophethood), so, these two are not part of Nubuwwah.......this means that it will never affect Islam , it can never give Islam more insights like new Hadiths etc. But if you look into Shiism, they claim that their so called imams have come with what they call Hadiths (like the Al-Kafi and other shia lies) ....that is just entirely against the Quran = Al-Imran 3:19 :

Us Shia curse the companions who hurt the Ahlulbayt (a). We have narrations where our Imams (as), including Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (a), that they cursed the enemies of the Ahlulbayt (a). I will list a couple for you:
We heard Aba-Abdillah (Imam al-Sadiq- may peace be upon him) while he was cursing four men and four women after each obligatory prayer: Such-a-man, and such-a-man, and such-a-man, and Mu’awiya - and he named them - and such-a-woman, and such-a-woman, and Hind, and Umm-ul-Hakam, the sister of Mu’awiya.
Al-Kafi, by Al-Kulayni, volume 3, page 342, and Tahdheeb-ul-Ahkam, by Al-Tousi, volume 2, page 321
Imam Jafar Sadiq (as) said :
"Whoever mentions the two (Abu Bakr and Umar) and curses them every morning, Allah would write seventy good deeds for him, and erase ten bad deeds, and raise his rank by ten degrees"
Tafsir al Ayyashi, vol 2, pg 131, no 1535
In the mafatih of Mullah Salih from Imam Sajjad (a who said :
"He who said (allahumma la'an al jibt wal taghut) once every morning, Allah would write for him 70 million good deeds, erase from him 70 thousand bad deeds, and elevate him by 70 degrees"
[Hamza al Nayshaburi said] :
"So when Abu Jafar passed away, I said to Imam Abu Abdillah (as) :
"I heard your grandfather and father [saying] so” He said: "Would you like for me to give you more ?" So I said: "Yes by Allah, may I be sacrificed for you" So he said :
"Everyone who cursed those two once in every morning, not a sin would be recorded on him that day until the evening, and he who cursed them in the evening, not a sin would be recorded on him until the morning"
[Source : Dhiya al Salihin, pg 652].
So you can clearly tell that the Ahlulbayt (a) did curse the tyrants.

The belief of Ahlus Sunnah in regards to Yazid bin Muawiyyah is that we don’t love him nor hate/curse him. He did a lot of evil without any doubt. He was not a companion of the prophet (peace be upon him). He remained and died as a Muslim. He caused some major fitna in medinah leading to Muslims being killed. He also spread Islam to Cyprus. He did both good and evil.
However, he did NOT kill Hussain رضي الله عنه just to make it clear. Yazid was in Syria whilst Hussain was in Karbala. Yazid and Hussain were related as cousins since the prophet (peace be upon him) was Muawiyyah رضي الله عنه brother in law. The people who killed Hussain were acting upon their own commands. Yazid only sent a brigade to Karbala where Hussain was to come to an agreement.
Yazeed spread Islam to Cyprus, what did the Shi’a ever do for this ummah excerpt betray us like the Fatimids in Egypt. Yazeed is better than you, at least he never committed major shirk, his tawheed was purer than yours Ya Khabeeth.

Anyway the problem is on the Shia and not Muslims at large because to Shias imama is the MOST fundamental aspect of faith and they want to establish it from various hadiths, none mutawattir and by interpreting them according to their doctrine instead of constructing a doctrine from the Hadith. The imama concept as understood in twelver Shiism has no Quran if basis which is the source of belief, Hadith can only expand on a belief, explain it and give details, not establish it as a fundamental

I can’t agree with this explanation fully. I agree that the first section of the Hadith is ambiguous but to say that ambiguity nullifies something in Islam isn’t exactly true. We have various things in Islam that are left ambiguous and we accept them. Some examples are that of laylatul Qadr, it was given to us but it’s exact date is hidden. Would we consider laylatul Qadr null do to this ambiguous date? No of course not. Also we have Hadith such as those of the pen and paper, Hadith in regards to fitnah and of course the signs of the day of judgment which are all full of grey areas. Grey areas don’t nullify something all the time, sometimes what is said or written in this manner is used as a means to use logical reasoning to come up with an answer to it. In Islam we are encouraged to use reason and intelligence is wonderful. As for the second part, sheikh says we need not ask who are these 12 persons due to the fact that in a separate narration we don’t really need to know who those who were whipped in hellfire were. However the context and the flow of the narration is different and once can associate a specific context with all of those separate and individual texts that come after it, in this case one piece of text containing sarcasm could be attributed to a separate text containing a more serious tone, and in this way one would misinterpret the meaning of the latter by attributing that context to the last text. It also says specifically here that the believers would agree, there will be a consensus on who these 12 persons are. This nullifies the sheikhs conclusion that who these 12 are is irrelevant, because it’s clear that these 12 persons will indeed become relevant to the believers and a consensus will be met. Asking who they are is important, by asking is the only way one can know and by knowing is the only way to reach the conclusion. In history and theology, we’ve only ever had a consensus on a few specific things. For example, Abu Bakr(ra), Omar(ra), Uthman(ra) and Ali(ra) were the first 4 caliphs. But even then there wasn’t a consensus as a whole, because the first three and especially the third were highly opposed by various groups of sahaba. While there was agreement within the large groups, not all groups agreed and therefore that isn’t considered a complete consensus rather partial. Now if we consider the whole ummah throughout time agreeing on these caliphs we still see that over time it’s fluctuated, at times certain sects had more power than others and leaders of the past were contested on their piety, morals and leadership throughout time, it wasn’t always a straight road, especially during the Abbasid period. So all in all this is not a convincing refutation of what the Shias claim, the logic doesn’t add up. I’m not saying that the Shia are right but I’m saying this refutation isn’t sufficient and it is lacking. May Allah forgive if I said anything wrong here, may Allah guide us all, ameen 🤲

Mawla can have several meanings. If Ali Radi'Allahu anh being appointed as a Khalifa was revealed from Allah, why didn't Allah reveal about it in the book? Why didn't Rasulullah explicitly proclaim it during Hajjatul Bida when Muslims came from all corner of the world instead spoke to handful of people near well? Why didn't he repeatedly warn people about it in his majlis with clear cut speech as he used to do in other cases? If it was such a crucial aspect of deen, as the Ithna ashariya claim as "foundation of deen", then the logic necessitates there has to be qati and repeated nusus from Qur'an, so that no one can oppose it. Just as Allah revealed and addressed repeatedly about the issues like Tawhid, warning against shirk, resurrection after death, etc. Or is it the case that the Qur'an is incomplete?
The Quran is a book of guidance. Why doesn't Quran tell us the number of Rakats to read in our Salah? We get that from the Holy Prophet through his actions, hadith etc don't we? The fact that the Prophet told us quite explicitly to follow Quran and his Ahlul Bayt is evidence enough that these two things are inseparable until they reach Him at the pool of Kauther. Only the Ahlul bayt can teach us the true meaning of the Quran because both are pure - makes sense when you think about it. Imamah doesn't need to be mentioned in the Quran (even though there are verses that do allude to it) when the Prophet is telling you to follow the Quran and them!

@@millat_ibraheem From what I have seen on this same channel, seems Abbasids were bitter enemies of the Ummayds for the same reasons as Shias, the only difference being, Shias monopolized the caliphate for the descendants of Ali RA, while Abbasids believed caliphate can only be held by Banu-Hashim in general and is not just for the descendants of Ali RA. I could be wrong though.

@@millat_ibraheem I think I saw it in one of the videos from Hani on this channel, he was saying initially the shias weren't as divergent in aqeeda as the shias of today, in fact except for the political differences there they weren't that different, in terms of aqeeda alone the gap between shias, Abbasid or ummayad wasn't that great, and that shias gradually moved away from ahle-sunnah.
I may be paraphrasing here based on my memory, I have little knowledge but keen interest in the history of Islam. May Allah forgive me for my ignorance.

You go read the first question the prophet muhamad asked is dont i have more authority over you then you have over yourselves? This shows mawla is authority. Then he said whoever I am mawla then ali is also mawla. So dont be of those who allah says in the Quran if the prophet muhamad was to die or be killed would you turn back on your heels like those before you(jews).
