How long does it take to dry. I tried your method. The cement pours down the balloon quite fast although the mixture is the same as yours. When it dried and I popped the balloon, the whole "egg" broke to pieces. What went wrong?
TRY USING WET TISSUE FIRST LET IT DRY AND COVER IT WITH CONCRETE / CEMENT 👍😍👍 HAVE TRIED A JUMBO EGG ? HOLDS MORE CANDLES ? FILL WITH A LITTLE SAND / STONES / GRAVEL ETC
It is really fragile I did it 4 times, 4 th one kinda worked all others was a fail and the 4th one broke itself I think it was becoz of the heat of the candle

Add first layer allow to set slightly so you are able to inlay thin wire or glass mesh adding relief cuts where needed to fit the rounded shape or desired shape spray a little water if it is drying and then apply another layer and repeat process final layer add a thin amount of cerment i made a bathroom wall lamp using this process 100 likes on this comment and i will do a vid
JD A I've made ornamental concrete for over a decade. Many tons and tons worth. With bare hands. I still have all my fingers and have never been burned, nor knew anyone in the industry who has.
JD A .... Hahah!! I wish I had known that was possible when I first started working with cement. My fingers were raw for days!! It was literally eating away at my skin!! Lesson learned.

Add some glass fibre to your cement mix.
fragile stuff but the idea is good. you can add fibres next time to keep it strong
True! Kevlar microfiber makes concrete much stronger and less cracky while drying. Even for thin layers

If you want it that way, yes. I personally prefer the rustic look, contrasted with the smooth golden inside.

I'd recommend using some glass fibers to add strength to this. The cement on its own will be quite fragile.
You should make a thick layer of cement
try cutting dried grass into 1cm long pieces and mix that into the cement

Didn't work. First the cement didn't stick to the balloon. Second it cracked once it started drying.
