30:17 Now it makes sense why in the beginning of the book of Hebrew, the author mentioned these two prominent figures - The angels and Moses. Both were considered as great intercessors and were highly revered by the Jews. By comparing Christ to these two beings , the author is establishing the fact that the intercession of the Son as high priest, is way more powerful, complete and effective, and therefore deserved a much greater honour than them. He is able to provide eternal salvation for those who come to God through Him.
@@willielee5253Thank you. I did listen to some of the sermons from Derek Prince but not as much though. They are amazing... My wife listens to him quite a bit. However, the above thought of angels and Moses came to me (From God I believe) as I was listening to Michael Heiser. I don't know that Derek Prince has preached on similar points before... God bless :) :)
Hi Rijo Mathew. Unfortunately, Scripture is mostly silent on this issue but it would seem that angels will not be redeemed for whatever purpose. In order for humans to be redeemed, God had to become a human being and live a sinless life to become our sinless sacrifice. That's how a believer is able to be redeemed. In order for demons to be redeemed, they would need a similar process but we don't see that in Scripture. However, many theologians speculate that since the angelic beings were in the presence of God before their fall, then they have seen the fullness of God's glory. They still fell despite this, God is not going to redeem them. Hope this helps.
The angels who have sinned do not have a redeemer and there is no scripture that indicates that God plans to redeem them. They have seen the first account of God and still chose to rebel. They shall receive the highest punishment in the Lake of Fire. This includes the Sons of God that had sex with human women and made the Nephilim. As well as the angels that rebelled with Satan.
David could keep the evil spirit at bay from Saul with his playing the harp too so that was definitely a quality he possessed from the Spirit of Truth.
The world may have not been perfect in one since because it is finite. But to say it was evil is also wrong. God declared it to be very good. It would have remained in that state if there was no fall. Subduing has a connotation in the Hebrew of caring for it. When God created the world, it was in a state of perfect Shalom. The fall introduced chaos into the creation. That's why Paul says the creation groans for its redemption. This is a basic understanding of classical theology beginning with the early teachings of recapitulation.
