think it’s a bit in the bassline. where things happen in the tune. like the breakdown bass feels way more potent in this mix than in the OG. might be wrong. LTJ CHROME 1995 is a great set he opens with this and it’s mind blowing. one of my all time grail tracks which i’ll unfortunately likely never ever own :(
Ah now i hear it, theres extra pads at the end that the released version doesnt have. I sometimes wonder why these artists decide to take those nice sounds out of their released versions. I think Oblivion - Sands of Time is another example

There are a lot of great tracks that are unreleased and people are clamoring for them and I always wonder just: "why won't someone release it?"
How does this differ from the released version aside from the vocals?
