So the Ghana Airport company was ok with the project being divided into phase 2 and 3 in which the phase 3 not completed doesn’t make the airport functional? Our Daddies please do well to play your part in Nation development. Please just don’t be interested in your salary alone..

Why on earth did they not build a bigger terminal, longer runway to accomodate the wide body aircrafts to make it successful

Please, it was deliberate. Ghana airport company located in Accra did not want a situation where the Kumasi international airport will become the busiest in the country but that is going to happen and they will be forced to build another terminal and also extend the runway further.

How many Airlines will Land a day.?? Any International Flights?? Or is another big Elephant project

Nope! They are just going to commission the Terminal for now since it is fully completed and it will be operational for local usage like the old Terminal. For example; one can still travel abroad through this Terminal but you will have to Transit at Kotoka and board your flight ✈️ to your international destination.
All the Testing has now been done.
On the other hand,they are waiting for the Contractor to finish the Runway extension which would be completed between August and September according to the Transport Minister.
After the completion of the Runway extension,you can fly to your international destination from/to PREMPEH I INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT 🛫
Keep in mind they have to wait for King Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to confirm the date of the commissioning.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Silver Jubilee Celebration has started so I guess we will probably have to wait till the end of May or early June for the commissioning.
